“I bought the "Legal Limit 18-Cigar Sampler III" wanting to expand my palate into the Full strength cigars and thought I'd write a review from a novice's point of view.
My first Graycliff, the 'Edicion Limitada' (Torpedo) is a nice full-bodied smoke without being over bearing. It has a great flavor that is lightly spiced from start to finish. looking forward to smoking another.
This is truly a full bodied cigar. A very heavy, voluminous smoke from the start and throughout. Great flavor with a hint of spice. Burned evenly and is well constructed. Now the quality is not quite up there with the finer, more expensive smokes, but a good cigar overall. Definitely not for the morning cigar but best paired with an aperitif
I've never been a big Graycliff fan. However, the Turbo Edicion Limitada is worth a try as this is priced reasonably and has a decent medium to full strength to it.
Wasn't sure what to expect from these but I decided to purchase a box after seeing these on one of the many CI deals that they're known for putting together. These are quite tasty. I gave them a little time in the humidor. These are attractive cigars with a decent draw. They're not my favorite but have earned a spot in my humidor as a consistent cigar that you know exactly what to expect from each one without getting a dud. There's a little bit if a construction issue in my opinion as the outer leaf seems to occasionally come apart but armed with that knowledge it's just a matter of treating it gently.
Ordering my second batch today. Great smoke and I didn't experience the wrapper problems mentioned by other reviewers.
The mazo of 20 for the price. Wow what a steal. while the burn is not pefect I can only gauge it off of the two I smoked tonight after receiving them in the mail.. After a few weeks or months in the humidor who knows. Classic Graycliff flavor. Smooth. Mellow. Creamy with a slight punch. Gorgeous. Reminiscent of the Avalino Lara 80th with an easier draw and a bit more back bone.First thoughts are .... I need to have a few more! Definitely worth the price times ten. Hang on taking a puff right now....if you are looking for a something to pare with a nice herbal meal and say a tumbler of rum.... cant think of a better cigar. Mango are these dogs good. Boom.... brought to you by the Kenjamin. Enjoy
Great tasting cigar, very nutty in flavor. Burns a long time.
Graycliff G2 Turbo EL Toro 2010 Batch - I've certainly had my share of Graycliff smokes over the years, always a nice change of pace. This cigar is no different. Perfect draw, a hint of nutmeg/allspice, very smooth, lots of smoke. Must say though, every one I've had is comprised of a very delicate wrapper. Found I could not tap this stick on the edge of an ashtray (to drop what is always a long white ash) without causing the wrapper to split. My humidors are fixed at 68% and I've had them split during aging. Even a punch cut has split the cap! Regardless, I've learned to handle with care and this cigar provides some awesome pleasure. Pairs perfect with an IPA - allows the Graycliff signature sweetness to come through.
Wow a great smoke from the first few puffs. The look and construction are very nice, I like mine dark brown. The flavors are very noticable but also complex. This cigar definitely changes each third starting with a little pepper, spice, and a hint sweet, to a very smooth middle, to a pepper and chocolate finish. It smoked cool, smooth, and fairly even. Will buy more of these and other Graycliffs. Excellent price/enjoyment value.
I recieved one of these in a mixed order several months ago. I threw it in the humidor and forgot about it. Being the it is July 4th I wanted to smoke something better then average and out of my normal rotation. This is a really good cigar. It's flavors are bold, the body is full, but it felt more like a medium smoke. In another review it was mentioned that the wrapper was delicate. I experience that, but it was on the smoking end so it did not distract from the cigar.
I would give them a try. I was surprised and with the current sale will be pick some up.
Going to be ordering the 3rd mazo soon so that should tell you something. The only thing you need to be aware of on the down side is that the wrapper is somewhat delicate and will split if not careful. Other than that this is by far the best deal I have seen or heard of since the Louisiana Purchase. Great tasting, great burn, great cigar.
I am a BIG fan of the G2 Turbo, but they need to age a bit. This cigar however was awesome right off the truck. Paired with a bit of cognac, this Turbo EL was cigar bliss. Do not buy them, leave them for me please!
OK...the good and the bad in regards to this cigar:
The good...I'd rank this right up the with any of the many real Cubans I've smoked, from start to finish it's a treat, consistantly melow with great flavours with a perfect balance.
The bad...if your like me you'll blow through a mazo in a weekend, addicting, they are a limited edition (very bad news), and burnt fingers smoking the nub should be on a warning label.
I picked up one of these at the Bethlehem store the other day to give it a try. Matt told me they were really great and he was not kidding. Perfect construction with a shiny, oily wrapper and a "Cuban" aroma. The flavors were complex and the burn straight with a very nice draw. It was a very smooth medium to full bodied smoke with just the right amount of spice. The real bonus is the price. The Graycliff Turbo Edicion Limitada is worth much more.
WOW !!! This is a great cigar !!! I got 10 of these on a special and they are now on my top 3 list. Well constructed, perfect burn and flavor flavor flavor !!! Get them. If you like full bodied flavor and good deep character, GET THESE. I can't recommend them strongly enough.
Get them. Just do. You will not regret it. Full flavored and full bodied. VERY GOOD.
