“First impression: the CXX is medium-bodied cigar in the same vein as the Quesada Tributo and the Fonseca Cubana Limitada, though perhaps a tad more refined. Really nothing not to like. Looking forward to trying the robusto next. I can see myself smoking quite a few of these.”
“FLAVOR,FLAVOR,FLAVOR!Long burn time, excellent aroma, perfect draw, just a beautiful cigar.Picked up a five pack of the robustos and tried one after only two days in my 300 count el diablo humi, it performed wonderfully!I hope to pick up a box or two before this limited production runs out.Well done Sr Quesada, thanks CI!”
“Another stick that came in a flight sampler five buck upgrade, when I purchased Fonseca Arana, was a CXX Anniversary robusto. Considering the cost, which I calculated at well under $2, this is a nice smoke. Medium bodied, long burning, but a bit harsh & overly peppery, for my taste. Paying full price would not be a consideration for me on this blend. The Arana & the delicious Cubano Limitado are better tasting Fonseca offerings, IMHO. I will say it sports one of the coolest looking bands I have seen recently & will come in handy when I make my next cigar band display.”
“Another testimonial for allowing a cigar to rest before passing judgement. I fired up a CXX Anniversary Robusto that had been tucked away for about 6 months. The flavors had bloomed since I 1st tried one, soon after receiving it last Spring. Truly one of Fonseca's tastiest offerings, this medium bodied delight emits clouds of creamy white smoke, from beginning to end. Loaded with flavors like cedar & citrus, it is a delightfully refreshing hour long experience. It's 5.7" X 52 frame is more Toro-like than Robusto, but you won't mind the extra 10 minutes, with CXX. Decidedly different than any other Fonseca blend, CXX Anniversary is a special occasion type vitola, due mostly to it's cost. If you can afford it, go for it. It is delicious!”
