Right off the bat, this cigar is bitter sweet toasty earth. Dark dried fruit and menthol build up to a spicy white peppery finish. This Davidorff is pretty much worth the money. The four packs would be great as a gift. Would I buy a box? Maybe. A Nice even burn and great draw round out this spongy puro.
Got a box of these Davidoff Puro d'Oro Series Magnifico's recently.
Twas a gift from a very generous friend. Being totally honest, I found them to be very well made. Solid construction, great draw, great burn. Flavors were okay, nothing real special to me. Medium bodied, some spice, just nothing that stood out. I'll save them for when my cigar snob friends come over. :>) BTW, my box was 10 sticks.
The Puro d'Oro is uniquely elegant and excellent. You can taste the red clay flavor or the Yamasa wrapper. While some call this a medium strength smoke, it is deceptively full bodied. The unique flavor is consistent. These smokes are best had with a break between puffs to best savor the taste. The Notables is my favorite while the Sublime is the best value. The Magnifico is problematic in that the wonderful wrapper comes undone frequently. The Delicioso is a good smoke too but the Notables delivers the best overall experience. Great with Scotch or Port. Of all the Davidoff cigars, this is my favorite. Congrats to Hendrick Kelner on this great blend.
