“Excellent cigar ! This is a personal favorite, good draw, good construction ,fabulous taste. What I turn to when I want to kick back and enjoy a pleasant hour. Amazing value in an outstanding product. Just super in every aspect !”
“FANTASTIC!”
“Gotta say I've never been a fan of flavored cigars.....until I Smoked one of these bad boys and DAMN was it good:) Went to CI to check the price and was floored at what they are giving them away for. So I bought me a box of church hills. This is easily the best deal I've come across for these.”
“Isla del Sol has all of the flavor of my sweet cup of coffee premixed with the natural sweetness of the tobacco (just a little milder than my pipe tobacco), and it is convenient...no packing a pipe or brewing coffee...it's all right there. So for a person like me, a cigar like this (and at this price) is a great find.”
“OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! This is a good cigar but just too sweet. I began enjoying it more at the halfway point when the sweetness died out. I don't think I'd buy a box but I would probably pick up a 5 pack.”
“Wow! What a smoke! This is my new favorite. I cant believe the price on these beauties--are you kidding me? If you like a flavored cigar, don't let this one pass by without trying.”
“I Love this Cigar(Isla del Sol by Drew Estate)! Coffee (like chocolate) has a natural compliment to cigars so why not blend these flavors? Well this cigar works very well with this balance of the mild-medium tobaccos and it's sweet tip, and flavors mixing well together. And just because it's inexpensive does not mean that Drew Estate cheaps out with loose crappy construction. You get fully packed well constructed cigars that is a pleasure to smoke like a cigar should be.”
“I have always been a fan of Drew Estate products.Isla del Sol by Drew Estate These cigars are awesome in flavor. Definetly a cheaper alternative to the Java. I have smoke several now, and the flavor is consistent, but a couple burned a little un even. All in all though for the price they are a great cigar!”
“I "bought" the advertising and bought a box of Isla del Sol. Horrible. Should be sold in Walgreens and CVS next to Swisher Sweets. How can this be called a cigar? (He said in a fit of humility.)”
“Those 3 dollar a gallon gas prices got you down? Relax with an Isla del Sol. An economical alternative to the Java. Another winner from Drew Estate - the undisputed king of flavored cigars!”
“I am not a flavored smoke person, but bought these as part of a CI one day deal. (Isla del Sol) They were great and for the price you can't beat it. It burned even and cool. It was well constructed and good Drew Estate Alternative to the JAVA. The Java is more natural tasting and the Isla is a lot sweeter, but still a winner. I smoke them with Coffee that has coffee flavored rum, yummy. They are worth a try.”
“I was gifted this cigar by a friend in the business and fell in love with them. With Java cigars hard to find even from CI occasionally, the Isla del Sol is like a Java very lite, or even a Java Latte lite. Very nice for an after dinner smoke, and even better with a cup of coffee.”
“The perfect dessert (Isla del Sol by Drew Estate)!!! A perfect summer night includes a steak dinner with a good beer, followed up by an Isla Del Sol cigar.”
“I absolutely love the JAVA and thought this may be comparable. Isla del Sol by Drew Estate is a much more sweet smoke. still good but does not hold a candle to the Java, I guess I just like a little more Tobacco flavor to my cigars”
“I am the "Queen" of flavored cigars. I highly recommend this gem (Isla del Sol by Drew Estate). Very tasty, even burn, and awesome on the draw; not to mention, a reasonable price. I was very impressed!”
“I was a big fan/smoker of the "Kahlua" cigars. But, when they were discontinued, I had to find a replacement. Thanks to Drew Estate's "Isla Del Sol" I have found it. A great smooth taste with a sweet coffee flavor. Nothing as good as the "Kahlua", but pretty damn close. I highly recommend, if you enjoy flavored cigars. Once again, Drew Estate has come through. Thanks!”
“Drew Estate stick are too damn expensive, but oh man this one is perfect pricing for an exceptionally tasty cigar. The scent is a mix between pool hall and caffee shop hauts of my youth. Daddy likes!”
“While my last fan mail on this made me seem like an illiterate I will throw another bone about this stick, it gets a million times better with age in a well seasoned humi.”
“Was offered this as a knockoff to the Drew Estate Java. It is a very nice smoke. Burns even, good draw and great sweet taste all the way to the end. I was stuck on the Natural Clean Robustos by Drew Estate, but I am thinking with the lower price of these I will be sticking with a Isla Del Sol's instead. Try one, very very good choice...”
“i have to admit , ive snuck a cap lick every now and then, this is probably the best deal at ci,(Isla Del Sol) this cigar actually could take the place of that after dinner desert.no mystery here ,its a mocha choco whipped cream delight. double sugar dipped cap,but as gonzo says ,after the cap wheres off, a true tobacco taste shines through.i love to start the day with this , a little black coffee, a piece of choclate cream pie. and isla del sol.”
“Holy c , was I surprised when I lit this cigar (Isla del Sol by Drew Estate) . After the snip and upon tasting the cigar even before lighting, I knew I was in for a treat. The sugary tip, thought sweet at first, mellows out quite well and adds just a hint of sweetness to this already flavorful cigar. Upon lighting the ciagr, it doesn't give off the normal pre-light smell that most cigars have (even the flavored ones) and tasted almost like I was smoking a good mocha chocolate latte. Stayed smooth all the way down, never becoming bitter or losing its taste. Definitely a recommend here if you want something not only out of the ordinary, but smooth as well.”
“When I saw the low price on this one (Isla del Sol by Drew Estate) I was very skeptical but I bought this cigar simply trusting the Drew Estate name. They have yet to let me down and this cigar is no exception. Once I lit it up I was surprised by the delicious light mocha flavor, the even draw and the consistent burn. I ran right out and bought several more. If you are like me and enjoy the taste of mocha in a mild cigar then this one is for you.”
“A friend of mine suggested the (Isla Del Sol) to me and I love them. In fact, I am about to order my 3rd box and I dont usually by boxes. This stick is smooth from start to finish, tastes great and smells so sweet that non-smokers seldom complain about it. For the money, there is no better cigar I have ever had to include the Java.”
“Any cigar that can get my wife to light up with me is alright in my book. These are her favorite cigars. Truth be told, I like the Isla del Sol too.”
“I have enjoyed every Drew Estate cigar I have tried. From the Acid line, Nasty is my favorite. To the Natural line, Clean Robusto is it. I enjoy the Kahlua and the Java. But when I tried the Isla del Sol I found my every day, chain smoke cigar. Well made, consistent and excellent power packed flavor! You can smoke 10 a day and still have money in your pocket! Thanks Drew Estate and thank you CI !”
“These cigars are great (Isla del Sol by Drew Estate)! I first got some in a shop in South Carolina and I fell in love. I have smoked cigars much more expensive then these, but I will always enjoy these cigars more. Sweet and mellow with a little hint of mocha, very easy and almost addicting smoke!”
“This is the first time I ever tried a flavored cigar. Truth be told, the tip is sickeningly sweet (I drink a lot of espresso), but about after the first inch of the cigar, and the sweetness wears away, I'm hooked. Its damn near addicting treat.”
“Simply the best flavored cigar out there. I've tried alot of flavored cigars and I would take this over all the rest including the entire acid line. Perfect construction, draw, and even burn in every one. The incredible price seals the deal. Give it a try, you won't regret it.”
“I got my case of these yesterday morning and after opening the box the smell of coffee made me think of my little coffee shop. I had these sitting in my humi for a few hours and had to have one. Granted it was below O but it was worth it. The sweet cap combined with the coffee and coco flavors make this cigar tasteful but not to the point where it loses the feeling of a good cigar. Very well done.”
“Well im fairly new to the cigar scene but i must say i really enjoy the Isla del Sol by Drew Estate. i would love to get a few suggestions from other people on what else is really good. all information would be greatly appreciated.”
“These are my favoite smokes. Half the price of the "Over rated " Java and just as good. If you like a mild Cigar with hints of Coffee give it a try you will be suprised at how good they are. A traditional Cigar lover might not like them.I am a big fan of Dew Estate products.”
“This is one of my favorite Cigars (Isla del Sol by Drew Estate).Great taste, smooth burn.Very good smoke!”
“This cigar is a fantastic smoke as you wait for that thick burger to grill while sitting on your deck with your favorite cold tasty beverage.”
“Permanent spot in my humidors. I smoke cigars everywhere i go and many times people complain of the smell(no taste). These however attract a crowd everywhere. Especially the ladies. It has such a incredible taste and aroma. The slight bit of coffee hangs in the air and draws people in. The sweetened cap i could do without but its mild and goes away soon however for most people it will probibly be a bonus. In short a awesome cigar! Order this one. You wont be disappointed!”
“Recently picked up two 5 packs, one each of IDS and a Java for comparison. Both were generally well constructed, though loose, but tasty. I let let sit in the humi for about 10 days before I couldnt take it anymore. I really wanted to like the Java more but cant say I was very impressed, especially with all the rave reviews it gets. I have not tried the Natural line yet but I can tell you that for the price you cannot go wrong with the IDS.”
“I want the address to Drew Estates so I can tell my lawyer. This was the most addictive smoke I have ever tried. (Exhibit 1) 4 box order. It is slightly sweet when you first try but as this stick burns it becomes more palatable. The smoke itself is addictive and fills the room. Drew Estates i will settle for a years supply. Great Job awesome Smoke.”
“Picked one of these up in the CI store last night based on reviews that I had read online. A lot of people had compared them to the Java, which is one of my favorites, so I thought this would be a sure thing, as Drew Estate rarely dissapoints. I have to say though, this really wasn't doing it for me. I expected some sweetness, but holy wow. It's like they dipped the end of this thing in in coffee syrup. Even though it does die down about a half inch into the cigar it just set me off to a bad start. I'll also note that the label at the end of the cigar was glued completely around and although I tried to be gentle with it, it just massacred the wrapper. I hate to feel like im bashing this cigar, I really wanted to like it. I loved the smell all throughout... but the taste just wasn't there, and I cant forgive the sub par construction/labeling. If they made an Isla del sol candle I'd buy it... but I don't think I'll be smoking another one any time soon.”
“First let me say this is a well constructed cigar. Very even burn, easy draw and strong ash. I expect nothing less from Drew Estate. Let me also say if you are a fan of strong, full bodied cigars this is probably not a cigar for you. This is a very mild tasting cigar as it really should be to allow the infused flavors to come through. On the first few draws this is a very sweet cigar (more so than a swisher sweet). This quickly fades and what follows is a coffee flavored mild taste that is really quite pleasant. This is a great after dinner smoke and would go great with a cup of coffee. Overall, I was impressed and would not hesitate to order more. I recommend it to fans of mild to medium bodied cigars.”
“IDS is a great cigar they do burn a little uneven but I prefer them to Java”
“A friend bought a box of these and gave me a few to try. I have smoked one and the others remain in my humidor as I have no intention of smoking another one. To each his own, but as for me this cigar is too sweet. If you like smoking sugar cane, then this cigar is for you. I didn't get the taste of coffee that was expected; maybe because there was too much sugar in it...”
“Isla-Del-Sol The very smoothest smoke a cigar lover could ever want... ”
“Wanting to expand my cigar experience, I broke down and purchased a flavor brand. The one I chose was the Isla del Sol, based upon all the good reviews. Having purchased a 5 pack, I allowed them rest a short while in my humidor. The cigars were as described...For those who enjoy this type of cigar (flavor), I can't see why you wouldn't like this one. There is one more brand I'm going to try called the Java, in the flavor category. Unless that one changes my mind, I will stick with the traditional non flavor cigars...”
“Being a mild cigar smoker I often enjoy flavored or infused cigars as well. I have tried many(some good and some bad) and recently picked up one of these at a local shop. It was an awesome smoke. Now that I know how good they are(expected nothing less from Drew Estate) I can get some to keep on hand. From the prelight aroma to the sweetness on the lips and right down to the last draw they are a great cigar.”
“This is the best value stick I've ever come across if you enjoy mild/sweet sticks. Drew Estae has a winner here.”
“These are one of my Favorites. I always have them in my humidor. I don't always smoke them, but when I just want to sit out back by the firepit and enjoy a cigar and drink. This cigar is my choice. Just recieved my 3 boxes of them.”
“Love this stick. But i can understand how it wont be everyones cup of tea. I am a newbie to the cigar world and this was a great introduction for me, sweet with hints of coffee, just a great medium bodied smoke. So if your new just say what the heck and give them a try. They have a permanent residence in my humi.”
“I'm still new to cigars and so far Drew Estates is my favourite brand. I love the acid line, the natural, and now Isla del Sol. This is a great cigar for the price. It's not as sweet as most claim the sweetened cap does not last long. This cigar transitions three times during the hour plus burn time. Your taste buds will never get bored. I will be buying more and this is a great cigar to relax with after a hard days work.”
“I think Gonz's staff review is pretty much on the money. A not-for-everyone sweetness while the stick leans more toward mild. A hint of coffee bean is present and works well on the palette, without being harsh...very enjoyable cigar and the price is right!”
“May I quote a Seinfeld episode "The BEST Jerry, the BEST." That is all you have to know....”
“I have bought several boxes of the IDS by Drew Estates and I have to say that I enjoy this cigar a lot. I have had the other coffee infused cigars from Drew but his one really suits my tastes. The draw is always great and after you get past the sweetened cap, it is really good. I mean for the price, there is nothing out there with the taste and aroma that expells from this cigar. For me, this is a great cigar to smoke when around non smokers. They often ask `does it taste as good as it smells`?. (Like a cup of hot coffee mocha). I would suggest this to anyone that likes coffee infused. Smoke on my friends!”
“Great smoke, nice coffee smell with mild coffee taste. Great to be on patio with nice sunrise, cup of coffee and an Isle del Sol!! Enjoy the day.”
“On the plus side, I must say that you can smoke this one until your mustache catches fire and the flavor will not change. Unfortunately, it is the same flavor I got from the last inch of a CAO LX2 if I had smoked it while drinking Diet Pepsi. I really wanted to like this cigar. I love coffee and the thought of a coffee-infused cigar was irresistable. I tried a Java by Drew Estates. Both are spongy cigars--maybe that is why they smoke so hot. Both are coffee infused, which smells better than it smokes. Both are sweetened, but this one is overdone. I shudder to think of those Drew Estates cigars infused with potpourri! Again, on the plus side, I have purchased many cigars from CI, and their product descriptions are spot-on. So I can only deduce that it is my sense of taste that is to fault. So I will give Drew Estates one more chance--I want to try the Naturals.”
