Nice morning stick w/coffee, very smooth, mildly sweet and creamy. The Arturo Fuente Hemingway, now pour that cup o joe.
This is one of my favorite cigars (Arturo Fuente Hemingway). You can't go wrong with either the Classic or the Signature. They both have the same great flavor. These smokes are medium bodied, full flavored, smoke to the nub beauties. The finish is awesome, a hint of chocolate is how I could best describe it.
This (Arturo Fuente Hemingway) is an all day smoke for me. The aroma fills my nostrils with semi-sweet earthy clouds of smoke. worth buying if you enjoy relaxing anytime of the day!
Bro, as soon as you light these gorgous gifts from the earth they are pure heaven. (Arturo Fuente Hemingway) Definitly in my top five everyday smoke. The draw and burn is very consistent and u cant mess up the light for all you rookies cause of the perfecto design. I find this cigar to be medium to full bodied with notes on ceder and leather....... a tad spicy on the finish up.. all in all a classic like the man it was named after.
the classic is great and had matured well in my humidor. i love the king b's, those have to be my favorite in the AF line.
If you think the unique balanced flavors of sweet cedar and citrus zest are for you, then grab um. Top 10, 2009 for a reason.
The AF-Hemingway 'Best Seller', paired with just a wee bit of Grand Marnier, in a sipping glass; yum-yum!
A great smoke. Flavorful and consistent. A bit of an uneven burn but worth the trouble. Great with a Brandywine style beer. Will buy more....
AF Hemingway line are exceptional smokes. You hate to smoke them every day because they spoil you. For a medium body quick smoke you can't beat them at any price. I promise.
This was the first cigars I smoked and has spoiled me rotten. A smooth and wonderful smoke from start to finish, this is on the short list of mine and my husband's favorite stogies.
Perhaps I got a bad box, but my masterpieces sat in my humi for approx a 3 months before I broke one out.
The burn was almost perfect, great flavor all the way down 3/4 of the stick, then I got an awful stinging sensation on my lips.
smoked three more since then and all the same result.
anyone else have this happen?
The A. Fuente Hemingway Signature is quite simply my all time favorite cigar and the Classic is right behind it. there is a reason Cigar Aficionado gave the Signature a 93 rating. Because it is simply *that* good. I've had all kinds of cigars in my adult life, some better than others, but none have ever quite equaled the Hemingway Signature. I even recently bought the Footlocker Humidor so I could by boxes of cigars and age them a bit and my first box purchased? A box of Hemingway Signatures of course!
AF-Hemingway, definitely one of my favs. Was given one by a co-worker to try and I immediately bought a box. I smoke the short stories a lot for the simple fact that I can't take too long of a smoke break at work. Love the creamy smoke produced and the great burn to this cigar. I'll never be without these in the humidor. Great Smoke. N.M.--US Navy
This is the cigar that had me at hello! The reason I started smoking cigars in the first place was due to the Arturo Fuente Hemingway. Very smooth cigar with a nice cup of Joe or even a nice cognac. Very smooth and creamy with nice transitions. If this is not in your humidor then you are out of your mind!
I have to say this is one of my favorite sticks to smoke. It has everything you could want in a medium cigar. It's good for morning, noon, or night. I have never had a bad one. Leave it to Fuente to have a consistent cigar.... this is a refreshing cigar. Way to go Fuente.
I'm on CI right now purchasing more of these little puppies. Got a 5 pack of the short Perfectos about a month ago. I eyeballed them for about a week in the humi before trying the first one. Big mistake. Every time I opened the humidor after that it was all I could do to not reach down and grab one. Nice, consistent burn. Med-Full bodied, creamy, sweet. I'm not going to try to BS my way through describing the flavors. I'll just summarize it in one word..TASTY. It's like reading an amazing book, savoring it and hoping it never ends. Sadly it does and you're struck with that sense of loss; you just know deep down inside that you'll never find another quite as good. Anyway, sorry for the dramatics and long review. Bottom line: loved it.
An epic tale: Arturo Fuente Hemingway, Signature Perfecto.
If you have never experienced a Fuente Hemmingway then you need to re-think your life and go get one. These are some of the most nuanced, nearly magical cigars out there and stack up to smokes double or even triple the price. The Fuente Hemingway series constantly receives top marks around the world-and it's still underrated if you ask me. Only Fuente's best rollers are allow to make these cigars, and each roller is only allowed to make 75 a day.
This beautiful perfecto shaped cigar straight out of the cello displays a veined, chocolaty wrapper, tight construction, and a perfect triple capped head. It smells strongly of leather, chalk, and espresso. Toast the pinched figurado's foot and the first dozen firm draws reveals tones of sweet wood and bread.
A quarter in, and the thick plentiful smoke develops some subtle pepper and walnut notes and shortly thereafter and the draw relaxes for the rest of the cigar. By the time you reach the half way point the cigar will evolve to exhibit salted cocoa with a mellow earth, and leather tone.
At the band you will experience a further flavor twist and be sent off with a warmed cedar, allspice, and coffee profile. The cigar has a long glorious finish of cinnamon, cedar, and cocoa.
Enjoy this beauty with a cup of English black tea and creme, by a roaring fire.
You have to try this for yourself, and trust me fellas: this might just be your new favorite medium bodied cigar!
Overall: 9/10 due to near flawless construction, firm ash, amazingly complex flavor profiles that outclass cigars far more expensive. Ready availability and satisfaction for the price.
I had a Hemingway Short Story last night. It was my first after a buddy highly recommended it to me. The wrapper seemed somewhat fragile initially and cracked when I used the punch on it. For the first few minutes it required a few different lightings to maintain the burn, but eventually held and burned evenly. Also, the draw was somewhat limited for the first few minutes but it eventually opened up. The taste was very good, and I noted a change in flavors from the first half to second. There was a leathery nuttiness during the first half that I didn't anticipate, after hearing all about it from my buddy. The peppery spices really came through in the second half, which I liked even more than the first half. Overall, it wound up being the perfect stick to finish off a what was a great Christmas day. I just placed a 5 pack in my cart!
Very easy to light. Excellent construction, draw and burn. Medium smoke output with light silky, smooth mouth feel. Mild to medium strength. Medium to full flavors. Deep earthy sweetness with hints of coffee, cocoa, dark fruit and cedar. Natural sweet tobacco flavor on lips. No bitterness and no spice with all the flavors remaining on a medium length finish after each draw. The multiple flavors are consistent and remain throughout the cigar.
Boy do these (AF Hemingway Signature) spoil you! A super smooth smoke from the first puff to the last with wonderful caramel and cedar nuances. Never a tinge of harshness. Full taste with no cigar buzz. The aroma is the best of any stick I have ever smoked. I never want these to end.
Upon embarking into my cigar hobby the guy at the local Tinderbox recommended I try the Hemingway Short Story. I instantly loved it and it has become a staple of my humidor. I even brought a few to share with friends and they were all equally impressed. While I'm not advanced enough to identify flavors, I would say that these are very satisfying without a hint of harshness. They produce a nice amount of smoke, burn evenly and smoothly down to the nub. The Short Story is a great size, though every time I get to the end of one I find myself wishing I'd bought one of the bigger versions instead.
Smooth to the last puff! I will order a box of these next time!
These are always one of the best, smooth,
quick smokes to be found.
The best cigar on the market!
The WOAM [Work of Art Maduro]is a wonderful smoke. If you haven't tried one do yourself a "flavor". My absolute favorite stick.
The Short Story are AWESOME! This allows for a quick 20-30 min smoke, but don't be fooled cause this cigar gets better at the end of the smoke!!
....My go to cigar! You'll never go wrong picking one of these up and smoking it. Great tasting cigar; nice and smooth....
Can't be beat for a smoke when you don't have 1 hour or more to smoke one.
A great smoke with a glass of beer...
Great smoke, particularly if you only have thirty to forty minutes!
