Customer Reviews of “Alec Bradley Nica Puro”
I have generally been disappointed with the Alec Bradley brand. I loved the original release of the Tempus, but over time I've had a long run of cigars with subpar construction (the later releases of the Tempus, the SCR, the Prensado, the American Blend, etc.); However, today I smoked the Alec Bradley Nica Puro toro... rich, chewy, spicy, delicious. Construction (for the first time in years, atleast in my experience) was spot on. And the price point is right on.

First time I smoked one of these last night 6/4/13, not bad, smooth rich, oily, not a Presnado but worth the buy

I am smoking one right now. I had my first and second on a business trip to Buffalo. After the second, I texted my hometown cigar shop to get these jewels in. While i do not agree with the "medium" strength rating(more full to me), this is a fantastic cigar that is constucted perfectly. Draws great in both the 60 and torpedo models, satisfies to where you do not look for a second smoke. I am almost at the 2 hour mark on my 60 and have more to go, and the price point is excellent. I like it more than the Tempus, better price than the Prensado(but the two are just different cigars), and just blows away anything else AB puts out. Thrilled that CI now carries them!

....I received 2 Nica Puro toros in an upgrade a month ago & decided to let them rest before firing 1 up. I did so this evening & have found another excellent example of why I consider Alec Bradley the premiere purveyor of top notch medium bodied vitolas in the industry. While it is true that some of ABs offerings tend to have minor burn issues, a short cedar nap tends to take care of these. This all Nicaraguan cigar features a dark, leathery Habano wrapper that marries well with the all Nicaraguan long fillers to deliver gobs of flavor, with notes of spice & an underlying touch of white pepper & sweet cedar. Thoroughly enjoyable, as we have come to expect from this manufacturer. I will be looking for more deals on Alec Bradley cigars & pulling the trigger anytime I can save a few bucks. Thanks to CI, just such offers are available....

Another slam dunk from Alec Bradley. I recently bought a box of MAXX Brazil w/ a 12 pack kicked in for another $5. These Nica Puros are an absolute delight! I'd recommend them to any cigar smoker. Light one up & relax.

Purchased the Bajito from a local shop. A strong cigar; pepper, leather, a hint of cream.

Great smoke, its overall smooth, rolled well, the wrapper was nice. One of the better smokes I've had from AB. I found it to have some pleasant earth and nutty tones with and overall considered a smooth smoke. it burned slightly uneven which looked like it was caused by improper filler technique, however that did not take away from the flavor.

This is an excellent cigar! I recommend the Toro. Woody, leathery, hint of espresso in there as well. Better stock up on these before Cigar Aficionado writes a good review on these and the price skyrockets.

This was my first experience with AB. It came with the Cigar of the Month Club in April 2014. It was constructed very well, and had a great draw with lots of smoke. It started of strong on the pepper side and smoothed out for the 2nd third. Good cigar, excited to try other similar.

It's no secret that my two favorite cigar makers are Abel Fernandez & Alan Rubin. Vitolas like the impressive Alec Bradley Nica Puro toro is the main reason for my devotion. Mr. Rubin is the master of the correct usage of the Habano leaf. His aged All-Nicaraguan line is graced with one of the most shimmering examples I have seen. Just like AJ always does, Alan carefully selects, cures & blends the tobacos to deliver unusually distinctive cigars time after time. Nica Puro is Cubanesque, to say the least. Rich, smooth, stronger than it seems, it is loaded with medium bodied/full flavored goodness from 1st puff to finger staining nub. About an hour with this 6" X 52 toro. Leather, black tobacco & oaky notes are unleashed amid clouds of smoke. A seven bone price tag makes it rather expensive. Being undeniably delicious means you should try this wonderful blend & earns Nica Puro a well deserved 92/100. Keep your peeps open for deals, as I do with all things Alec Bradley & you can sample many fine cigars for a fraction of the MSRP. Thanks to CI, I have tried many stogies that I might have otherwise missed.
