“I tried the Montecristo Platinum (La Habana Series) after ordering one of the Friday Night Fights selection. I didn't know what I was getting but now can honestly say it's one of my favorite cigars. I'll be ordering a box next time. The blend is excellent & it smokes and draws beautifully. If your going to spend a few bucks on true premium cigar, spend it on this brand.”
“Out of all the various brands I've tried, the Monte Platinum is my favorite. It's a nice medium-bodied that is deceptively mile at the beginning but will leave you with a buzzing head by the tail. A real finger burner!
The Platinum is such a great blend by the Montecristo folks, I heartily recommend it to anyone who likes the occasional cigar - It's too expensive to be a daily smoke, but for a special occasion it will be a real treat.”
“althought a bit skeptical of the montecristo line, i tried this cigar (Montecristo Platinum - La Habana Series) and all i can say is bravo. a nice medium bodied cigar with a little bit of draw, this cigar cuts well, burns well, has a nice leathery aroma and wrapper (props on the eduadorian grown connecticut shade. very pretty) that will sit pretty in any humidor. it was a well balanced peppery-earthiness that gradually builds up until the end. i smoked it to the very end and i have no complaints except maybe the pricetag. a little much but a great every-once-in-a-while smokes. a definate 89.”
“Picked one up at my local smoke shop last week. Wanted to mix it up try something that I normally don't keep in my humidor. I was not impressed, the cigar itself smoked and burned well but the flavor was very bland, almost non existent. it was a very light bodied cigar, very little after taste and left much to be desired. If you like a light bodied bland cigar you will probably enjoy but it seems to me to be very over priced!”
“I received the Montecristo Platinum (Montecristo Platinum - La Habana Series) in a weekly special assortment. I like the original Montecristo, and I was a bit skeptical of how it would smoke. Skepticisms aside, I decided to try it. It has this initial tough taste 1/2 way down the cigar, it was difficult to draw and didn't like the aftertaste it left in my mouth. The second half was a bit smoother, but nothing to hoot and hollar about. Honestly I have tried much better tasting and quality cigars for half the price of these (5 Vegas Series, all the Rocky Patel Line, the Perdomo Line...etc...). Really, don't waste your money - the inconsistancy of a single cigar was quite diappointing.”
“Smoked one of these last night and all can say is wow. This was a very smooth cigar with no harshness at all to it. A med-full strength cigar. Hints of cedar and earthiness.”
“Friends- I have tried all the sizes of this great cigar and there is a difference. The Rothchilde Tubos (Robusto) is my personal favorite . It is a high quality smoke and the tube wrap makes a difference---more rounded and less of a hit. The Churchill will jazz you -- as noted above --give a nick-o - teen push at the half way point. I don't like that and the Roth mellows this out. A rich, nutty and leather style. No spice edges---so if you like a very rich, wood, mushroom smoke with coffee expresso overlay it is a 10. Very good burn, beautiful feel and wrapper. Flavors change after fist 5 minutes---and is just a pleasant high class smoke. Might have one touch up. Now one of my top 7 premium cigars. Go with the Roth unless you like a stong finish.”
“Excellent smooth burning cigar. Highly recommend this aromatic and tasteful stogie.”
“Amazing! Nothing less than a 10/10! I've had them all.”
“As you should expect from Montecristo, a very good, smooth, satisfying cigar. Consistently good to the end with an even burn. A solid "medium" flavor, as advertised.”
