Cedar and spice, and everything nice. After all these years and all these new smokes on the market, the "O" is still one of the best Nicaraguans out there. Not highly complex, but far from bland. It has the right amount of flavor. Some cigars are so flavorful that you can't smoke them frequently. This is not the case with the "O". Best sun-grown wrapper anywhere out there, aside from the Oliva V. The CI review is wrong this time. Peppery (not for the rookies), full of flavor, and perfect construction. This smoke is a solid 90, and oh so dependable. As they say, the original is always the best. Packaged in a perfectly boring box. The excitement is inside. You must age these 6-8 weeks (naked preferably) for some of the Nic. spice to fade, allowing you to taste the other flavors.
Great smoke (Oliva "O" Classic) , holds its own against more costly cigars. Smooth flavor till you burn your fingers.
Great taste and easy draw... however, I had several runs on it when I first lit it up. I had to relight it a couple times to get it to burn evenly, all that relighting took away from the "relaxation" aspect of smoking. At the halfway point, it finally started to burn right and had a very smooth, nutty taste. I can still taste it now, 20 minutes after nubbing it. Maybe I got a bad cigar, but I'd buy it again if it burned evenly from start to finish.
Smoking a Perfecto right now...awesome...reminds me of a deep sun grown wrapper...beautiful construction, even burning and intensifies in flavor...just the right cigar for an hour of smoking and my wife likes the "clean" of the smoke...tasty...goes well with Vodka for a palate chaser. Came out of a free sampler from CI..the six pack...awesome deal if you can find that sampler again!
These cigars are alright, I like Montecristo better though.
Oliva Serie 'O' is a fantastic cigar. Definitely on the top my must buy list. It has a fantastic flavor, color, construction and draw. I also enjoy Rocky Patel Vintage 90/92, Onyx Reserve, Torano Cameroon 1916. if you like any of those, you owe it to yourself to try the serie O !!!
got f'n blasted of this beauty (Oliva Serie 'O'), if you haven't tried an oliva, do it imeejutly, look to oliva to dominate the future. I'm trying to decide if these have knocked montecristo white off, as my new favorite.
I tried a (Oliva)Serie O Robusto and have to say it's not a favourite, but then I'm not particularly a 'sungrown' fancier. The cigar had a bit too much 'bite' for me right at the beginning. It burnt very evenly with a very good draw up until almost the very end.
One of my top 10 cigars here. Cedar and coffee and oh so smooth.
Not harsh or peppery but it will kick you in the gut.
This cigar is for the experienced smoker.
My tastes run to mild, but this full-bodied stick is a gem (Oliva Serie O. The draw is near effortless, with a woody, cinnamon aroma. Quite strong without kicking your face in, it's a great blend.
I had first tried this years ago due to I knew the reuputation of Oliva and the price was about $4 at my local shop! My reaction was "WOW, I would have easily paid 2-3 times for it" but I did not tell the the shop owner that, I just kept buying handfulls every time I entered the store.
Just burned one of these for the first time and I found it to be much better than I expected after reading the reviews that seemed to be all over the place. This was a great smoke, start to finish. Cool burn, even draw, well worth the price and more.
I just received my robusto's. I like them more then the torpedo. They are a wonderful smoke. The flavors are just right. Burns great and the draw are thick an creamy with sweetness. I smoked this one right from truck. Now I only can imagine with rest time. God give me the will power, not too smoke any time soon. So far these are my second best. Cain are the first. Smoke up.
I've received mine a week or two ago. They're a strong cigar and very tasty. One of a few types, you make sure there are at least two in your humidor. Burns okay but should be better. Appearance 92, Taste 91, Construction 88, Quality 89.75. The burning took a few points off.
I recieved one of the "O"'s in a sampler. It was absolutely excellent. In fact, while I was smoking the thing I ordered a full box of the torpedoes.
My rating for this smoke is a solid 91.
Pros : Good Draw, Well Constructed, Easy To Light, Great Flavor
Best Uses : Special Occasions, Gifts, Everyday
Very smooth, very tasty, hands down great cigar. Well balanced all the way down to the nub. It will definitely be a regular in the humidor. I give it a solid 90
Enjoying the nice November weather here in VA and how better than a good stogie? Beautiful cigar, lit easily, and plenty of smoke. I kept waiting for the flavor to start and it just never got going. Rating 82.
Oliva Series O is a fine cigar with smooth taste and perfect draw. I would recommend this one to my friends. Burns perfectly. I will add it to my rotation.
Yes please!!! The Olivia O can be summed by the word "perfect". Its been a while since I have tried a new cigar and have been so impressed with. This home run cigar burns so smooth from beginning to end. Its rare a cigar will last in flavor to the nub but the O does it. Even burn, consistent flavor... what a delicious cigar. My fav of the Olivia line and I've tried them all. My only complaint is it did go out on me in the final quarter, and the draw is a little tight but kudos on keeping my attention down that far to my fingertips! Do yourself a favor and pick up a couple boxes of these. They live bet at a lower humidity fyi.
Super cigar. Smooth, medium body, not full. Oliva smokes are consistantly well made. Compares well with more costly cigars.
So, I continue my quest to knock down the inventory from CigarFest, and this time decided to have the Oliva Serie O and for once, did not read one review about it - wanted to go into it stone cold, develop my own taste for it. Being still a stogie newbie, I'm trying to expand my tastes and explore different cigars. I grabbed this one and decided to give it a shot. Beautifully wrapped, draw was tight, but consistent. Had to relight once, but burned evenly throughout. Tastes of leather, coffee, and some spice, a little bit of a kick, but not overpowering, not weak either. So then I checked the reviews - oh look at that, it's a medium-full. Again, I'm still somewhat new and have been sticking to mediums as I got sick from 2 stronger cigars several months ago (other factors involved besides being a newb). Yeah, I definitely liked this one, going to take the label and put it into my humi - my tradition to remember cigars that stood out.
Well, I just finished the Oliva 'O' Perfecto natural and I have to say I am not impressed....I purchased the sampler and I am hoping that the G and the V have more to offer than the O....
These people know how to make cigars...as a robusto guy this one is heaven sent...my palate has expanded as I try more and more brands but these bad boys are keepers
Golf course - double toro...nuff said
Took one of the Torpedo's out of the humidor today and had one of the most pleasant smoking experiences in a long time. The cigar is well made, having a beautiful medium-dark, brown wrapper with very light veins. The cigar drew well from a dry draw, and smelled of sweet hay prior to lighting. Upon lighting the 'O' drew well, but I could not discern any distinct smell or flavors at first. Then - BAM! It hit me, wonderful spicy flavor, taste of pepper, and even a hint of fine sherry. The 'O' burned evenly, held its ash well, and was a joy to smoke from start to finish. Easily earns its 90-92 rating. I look forward to letting these age in the humidor. I bought ten of these on a special offer, but would not hesitate to pay the regular price to restock my humidor. Could become my "go to" smoke.
Hmm, this is a toughie. It's a pretty full bodied smoke, which I enjoy, and the construction is wonderful! The draw is good, flavor is good, all good, BUT, it had a tough time staying lit, and a pretty uneven burn....
Had a torpedo and with an after dinner drink of Bacardi Gold and Dr. P, and found this smoke to be fantastic! Had a nice smooth burn with a nice taste of a mellow cashew type flavor. The aroma was delightful! I would recommend this cigar to anyone that likes to kick back and enjoy a good smoke!
Got a 10 pack of these about a year ago on a CI special. I have always loved the Series G, so I gave these a try. Smoked one right after purchase. This is a "Mans" cigar! Im not a big fan of Nicaraguan puros, though with Oliva's history I thought I would give them a shot. Construction was perfect, burn was perfect, but just a tad too strong for my liking. I let them sit in the Humi for about 14 months hoping to knock the spice down a bit but they are still strong as ever. If you love Nicaraguan Puros bold spice you will love these. If you are not into strong full body cigars you may want look else where, Serie G perhaps.
The Churchill is the best cigar for the money in the world. It is a 6 dollar cigar and it is always one of the top 20 cigars, year in and year out. Buy a box for 120 and sit back and enjoy your life.
Medium to full-body with chewy draw. Loved the hint of cedar and peppery finish. Great cigar. (8/10)
Spicy, cedar-y, nutty and wonderful (...y)! I admit, I usually enjoy mild to medium sticks (<3 Perdomo Champagnes, RP Decades, and 5 Vegas Classics), but this stick was so flavorful and yummy. I went too fast and since my nicotine tolerance wasn't up to snuff, it sort of laid me out for a while... But boy, was it worth it. My mouth is watering as I write this :-). Highly recommended!
Fantastic cigar. Wonderful flavor. Creamy with notes of cedar. Very smooth. Ages well in the humidor.
Great flavor, nice smooth draw, and looks gorgeous. The only downside is that I could not get it to burn evenly for the life of me. I doubt I would buy them again, for the price there are better options.
If you like medium to full cigars like I do, you should try this one. Oliva O Series is one cigar I doubt you will be disappointed in especially if you like Nicaraguan cigars. I give it a 9.5... I also enjoy Perdomo Habano and AVO Heritage.
Beautiful cigar!!! Flawless wrapper, perfect draw, and a beautiful presentation.
