A novel concept in handmade cigars....a substantive blend that will make you rethink the cigar experience.
Nub started as a theory. Born in the Oliva factory, a cigar maker was hell-bent on proving he could capture the essence - the core - of a cigar's flavor immediately upon lighting and throughout the duration of the smoke. Well, they nailed it.
Rather than wait for a cigar to develop and evolve, which typically occurs an inch to two inches in, the idea behind Nub was to specifically blend it to hit its sweet spot right off the bat and remain at its peak right through to the end. Each size is short and stout in stature. That's by design - not for novelty - as blends and sizes were worked and re-worked a thousand ways from Sunday in order for Nub creator Sam Leccia and the Oliva family to capture the essence of each Nub blend. Anyone can create unusual shapes, each of the Nub blends and accompanying shapes was instead created to summon and deliver the blend's sweet spot.

“I was hesitant to buy Nubs because of their short length. However, I had read that they were a good smoke. Then a friend recommended that I try them. He said that, due to their ring size, they actually lasted a while and that they tasted great. So, I decided to give them a try and...WOW!!! These cigars are AWESOME!! In spite of their size, it takes me almost an hour to finish one. They burn very evenly and slowly, while producing amazing flavor and thick clouds of billowy smoke. I WILL PURCHASE NUBS AGAIN VERY SOON!!! Thanks CI!”

“To date I've only had the opportunity to try the Nub 460 Connecticut (4" x 60). I'm really not a fan of just taking someones word - a cigar being good as tastes change from person to person. My fate was sealed...I had to try it for myself. I found a perfect selection at a local cigar club. They has a beautiful setup with a walk in humidor 'room' creating a perfect environment for my search. Mainly because I wanted to try one now man! From the get go it was smooth as silk. Very creamy and mild. The burn is relatively slow due to the construction with a nice salt and pepper ash. It kept pace with a Gurkha Legend I'd given a friend. However, there was an extreme difference in flavor and taste. Having tried both within a couple days I could clearly see the winner was in my corner. The NUB was a truly enjoyable cigar. I can't wait to try the rest of the line and see what they have in store. These will have a place in my humi...I'll make sure of it. - T”

“Rarely do I speak as highly as I do of Nubs. They are the most consistent cigars I have ever had. When I am on my way home from work, I choose a Nub because I don't have to worry about them ever going out, the ash falling on my, or it being a bad smoke. I have them sitting in my humidor next to my Behikes and Opus Xs, and will still talk about them over the more expensive sticks.”

“Very nice sampler. Gives a good look at Nubs.
“Absolutely loved the Nub sampler. My favorite of the six was the Habano, but the Cameroon and Connecticut were good smokes as well. I was hesitant to buy because of the length and ring gauge but as it turns out I loved them. Great even smoke with good flavor. These Nubs made me a fan of short, fat cigars.”

“Great sampler to see what these little Nubs are all about. I was so surprised to find out that the Connecticut was going to be my favorite of the bunch. But WOW, great flavor I mean the best I have tasted so far in my 6 month smoking experience. Every one from this sample has great flavor, except the Habano, but that's just my opinion. Thanks again CI for the great samples for us novice smokers.”
