I only had the "authentic", Honduran-made Edge Corojos a couple of times. Big plumes of mouthfilling smoke, even burn, milk-chocolate-colored, oily Corojo wrapper, spicy, earthy, oaky taste, with a touch of Vanilla bean.
What are these like? See above!
...except the sweeter note took on a slightly-fruity character, kind of like dried figs, instead of vanilla bean. The pepperiness seems a tad more pronounced as well. So, are they EXACTLY like the Honduran Edge?
Well, not quite. As the description says, being made at a different factory means a few differences in production methods, etc. But Tabacleras Fernandez (New World, Diesel, Ave Maria, Man-O-War, etc.) know their stuff when it comes to full-bodied, full-flavored cigars, and these smokes make that fact readily-apparent!
Like all cigars I get in the mail, I promptly put this box in my humidor to condition them. Tried one after 2 weeks and experienced some burn issues. The one I am smoking now, after almost 4 weeks in my humidor, is thoroughly-enjoyable and every bit what I was hoping for!
At this price, not only does it undercut the Honduran Edges, but also my current "go-to" Nicaraguan full-bodied cigar, Diesel Unlimited! If the rest of the box is even "mostly" as good as this second stick, then I'll be buying these for the foreseeable future! I would be excited to see more fruits from this Patel-Fernandez partnership, if such could occur.

Not a bad cigar. Had a little bitter taste. As far as being an Edge, not even close. An Edge first thing in the morning will make you queasy to say the least. You can smoke these things all day long with no buzz. Would I buy again, NO.
