As a smoker of primarily full body, full flavor cigars I am giving the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Robusto Grande a 4 1/2 star rating. It is full bodied but I also find it to have a mellow and smooth character. Very enjoyable.

Great build and flavor
Great cigar. Well constructed w great taste and burn. I prefer coffee infused usually but love these and some other strong cigars like nica rustica or big payback.

Robusto Grande
Joya De Nicaragua - Robusto Grande First let me say I'm a Med-Full to Full Nicaraguan smoker. This stick drops directly into that category. It is powerful. It is robust. Its just not my thing. Not for esthetic reasons though. Construction is consistent, burn is always clean. It's all things desirable in a cigar experience. That said, it is all pepper on the palate and through the nose. I've seen the comparisons to Padron and respectfully disagree. I smoke a lot of Padrons and to me there is no comparison. The depth of flavor in a Padron is notable. Complexity in the JDN is entirely masked by the spiciness. I've smoked enough of these to state an opinion and they've become an alternative selection from my humidors. Looks great, always draws and smokes well, but the overtly spicy flavor profile just isn't my thing.

I’ve only smoked one so far. Flavors are good, draw and smoke output is excellent, but there was a construction issue. Had some serious tunneling problems which forced me to throw the stick out about half way through. It turned totally hot and mushy and was requiring relights every couple of draws. I’m hopeful that the rest of the sticks are better constructed.
