A good two dollar cigar. In a box they would be good five dollars cigars.
These are great! I actually bought one from the CI store in downtown Bethlehem while visiting family. If you like the Vintage 2002, you'll LOVE these!!!!
Very nice maduro smoke. As I also smoke Gran Habano 2000, I have come to believe Gran Habano does not know how to make anythng but excellent cigars.
Just finished up a torp and must say this is one great stick for two-fifty. Excellent construction, medium in body, straight ahead, not too much complexity and a decent flavor profile. Look no further if you need a better than average cigar for a great price. Oh yeah, the good looking band and cedar wrap will make your friends think you're giving them a ten buck smoke.
Here we go again with the 'good cigar for the money' lark. Doesn't matter what it costs; it's either good or it isn't. This one is good. Easy draw, lots of smoke, nice looking, 'earthy' pre-light aroma and initial taste. The fact that they won't put one in bankruptcy is certainly a plus.
Had the Azteca Fuerte torpedo (with about 2 mo. humi time) last night and enjoyed it very much. Interesting flavor, lighter in the hand than some other Gran Habano smokes - if it was underfilled at all, it caused no problem. The lightness probably contributed to the easy draw. Another good thing besides the savory taste and the easy draw - after starting it, I had to leave it outside a couple of times longer than usual, and upon return I was surprised to find it was still burning, taking just a couple puffs to bring it back up. It is certainly worth the asking price, even better if you can catch them on a special.
Average cigar. Smoked 2 of them (torpedo); 6 months apart. Most recent one was slightly better because it lost some of its unappealing "vegetative" flavor. Two great cigars - the Gran Habano SLS (formerly 3 Siglos) and the Gran Habano Cabinet Selection. The Azteca is a good cigar to smoke if somebody gives you one. The SLS and Cabinet Selection are ones you buy, cherish, and lovingly smoke to your elbows.
I would say also a great bundle cigar....well worth the recognition.....keep the great price point.
Just finished my Azteca Torp ROTT, Ohh Momma. Crave yummy, well constructed, even burning bundles? THIS IS THE ONE! Order Up!
Bought these on an e-mail special with a free shipping teaser. I've smoked several so far and I'll give them a 7 on the old scale of 10. Most unique-likeable taste, burns straight (typically) and they last way longer than they look like they would. I've had big 7 1/2 X 52's burn through quicker than these Azteca torpedos. In synopsis: I got good to great value on this Gran Habano deal!
I review cigars on another website and a few weeks ago I helped review the original GH Azteca. The Azteca Fuerte is so close in construction and flavor to the original that I would speculate that they put a cedar sleeve on them and stamped Fuerte on it so they could market them under a different name. Even the band is identical. No-brainer here fellas. Get the same cigar (in only two sizes) without an expensive box for an insanely low price. Between these and the Vintage 2002, Gran Habano is getting a lot of my business.
Another great buy from CI. Very nice cigar, nice construction, burn and flavour.
This is a very nice bundle smoke. It is everything that it is hyped up to be.
Well gents, we have a winner here. It started (two humi days) off very "floral." I thought: Oh god, here we go again, another hyped up piece of crap." Well, I was wrong. This smoke earns it's hype. It developes into a very nice medium strong smoke with wonderful tobacco flavors. Buy this goodie before its gone or over priced!
This is a very mild cigar. Hints of wood, earth and leather with a very slight sweetness on the finish. A little zing to the tip of the tongue and lips but, no harsh aftertaste. Absolutely no burn issues at all with construction on par with much more expensive cigars. About an hour long smoke. Hopefully, with age, the cigar will exhibit more flavorable characteristics.
ONE EXCELLENT CIGAR! MY BUDDY GAVE ME ONE AND THIS IS THE BEST SMOKE. SMOOTH, NICE EVEN BURN, WITH GREAT TASTE. I AM IN LOVE. HEADING OUT TOMORROW TO GET MY 20 FROM CI. LESS THAN 2 BUCKS PER AND BETTER THAN THE $10 BRANDS.
I'm a big fan of Gran Habano, they fit a nich in the market for affordable well made cigars! The Azteca's cedar wrap and interesting band make for a very nice initial impression. As one reviewer mentioned, this cigar had a strong floral earthy scent to it. It really tastes and smells very different than anything I've smoked! I am going to let these sit for a while, because the flavor was just too strange for me. It leaves a strange aftertaste that tastes like hay! Yes hay! I have only smoked two of them, and if my impression changes I'll let you
Picked up a bunch as a daily deal. Left them in the humidor for a few weeks. Just smoked one.
Very surprised. I thought it was a better smoke than many premium brands. The construction itself was good enough to really take notice. The smoke was thick and creamy. Easy draw. Even though it was packed full of flavor, it was smooth enough to just melt on the palate. Pleasant cedar taste with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Caught a hint of something sweeter at the end. Maybe mint or berry? The nub wasn't too spicy or overpowering. I could have smoked an entire cigar with the nub's flavor.
Overall, one of my favorites. I personally enjoyed it more than the 5 Vegas 'A' and the Romeo y Julieta maduro. And at these prices? I feel like I ripped off the good men at CI. Sorry guys.
Just got my first 2-fer of these beauties the other day and I have to say I am pleased. Very nice presentation, great construction and they are delicious. What really surprised me is the length of time these take to smoke. I got the robustos and they take about 1 hour and 15 to an hour and a half to smoke. Just a really great value so buy them while you can !
These have become one of my favorite "go to" cigars. The price is stellar, the taste is satisfying, and the construction is spot on! I just ordered my 3rd bundle and plan on ordering them again, once I start to run low!
One of the best bundle cigars out there! At $2 a pop you can't do much better!
This is a excellent two buck stick! Great deal!
very good cigar love the use of San Andreas Tux la tobacco will buy more
Nasty smoke. Seriously smelled like I left the cello on after burning this stick. I seldom find a stick that I don't appreciate in one way or another. Maybe just needs sufficient resting time but I dunno.
Good cigar not great. Peppery, earthy, chocolaty-coffee consistent throughout. I love San Andreas Veracruz tobacco but I would not have more than a couple of these a year. Drew easily and burned evenly. Ash did not want to hold. For the price I cant complain too much. Give it a try!
Good chitty chitty bang bang for the buck here. Not going to blow your socks off but make some room in the humi for a few and you won't be disappointed...not for 2 bucks a stick anyway. Good attractive cigar with a nice oily wrapper. Well constructed with a nice long burn. Wait, why am I telling you this. I want these all to myself.
Powerful smoke, must order more!
These MIGHT be worth purchasing at $2.50 apiece - The one I had started out very nice-good enough to buy again-but at the halfway point it got acrid and had to be relit many times. I think the need for relight resulted from being over-humidified, which isn't the stick's fault, and it would have been less acrid, too, if properly humidified, but it just didn't taste or burn good enough for me to buy another. Spend your money on a better stick at the same price-point. I'm too poor to experiment with MIGHT...
I generally smoke the torpedo version of this cigar. When they burn properly - they are a fine smoke and a great value. There seems to be some batch consistency issues when it comes to burn quality.... But when you get a good one the flavor is deep and complex. Mild to medium in strength. Really enjoyable....
Mild cigar. Hints of wood, nuts, no pepper or spice. Consistent burn, nice draw. For the price, this is a good "yard work" smoke.
A great cigar for the money. The corojo is even better; these are a must buy!!!!
Great cigars. They smoke like a medium, but with tons more depth. Very happy with these and eager to order again.
Not bad at all. If you like the Vintage 2002, these are a good stick. Need to rest for a few weeks in the humidor.
In MHO these cigars are worth more than the very reasonable cost. This is a very good buy for cigar guys who like a mellow, but dark cigar. I find these to be on the very tip of the full scale. I ordered 2 bundles of these cigars and I'M VERY GLAD I DID. These are great. A GREAT cigar FOR THE MONEY.
