I was pleasantly surprised with the robusto.....$1.72/stick..... a great buy for a daily smoke. Wrappers are varied in appearance, nice white ash and good aroma. Not truly "full" in strength, but, a good smoke. I will defintely rebuy!!!!
I would have felt bad if I'd spent more than $2.00 on these...but at $1.40, I was pleasantly surprised. They aren't particularly complex, and I think they burn quickly. But I almost always have one in my herfador because they are decent enough to enjoy and cheap enough to give away. I imagine this is what most people mean by a "filler" cigar. The construction has held up. And while I haven't seen any additional complexity with aging, it's only been 6 months.
You can't go wrong with Gurkha Overruns! I love the flavor.
In my opinion, these are great sticks. Awesome for the price. They burn well, no problems with the construction. Can't wait till they're back in stock!
Excellent cigar at an excellent value!
I"ve gone through 3 bundles so far. Def. one of my favs. I make sure to keep them on hand. Great bargin cigar.
My hobby is hunting for affordable Maduros. This is another decent find. There are other low-priced Maduros I like better, but this stick is still a good value. First third of the smoke is a bit rough, but last two thirds are enjoyable. In this price range, I much prefer the Black Ops or Don Rafael bargain Maduros CI offers.
Bit harsh, but a good every day smoke.
A wonderful smoke; especially at this price (when they are in stock).
I am new to the cigar. I gladly blame my great grandfather. I am extremely happy with my purchase. It gives one confidence to explore other flavors after picking a good cigar on the first shot. Granpa liked the Gurkha, his first one! This guy has been smoking cigars as long as I've been alive, his compliment carries a lot of weight. Thank You CI.
No band, no problem. This beauty is Gurkha quality from top to bottom. I will always get these whenever they are available.
I’ve never been disappointed with a Gurkha smoke so I was excited to get these box pressed “overrun” for a damn good price. They are wrapped in rich medium brown wrapper with a nice leather scent. This particular one did feel a little loosely rolled and the cold draw was very open. I’ll have to keep that in mind and compare it to others in that batch. It does provide a huge mouthful of smoke with a full flavor. The size is good for grabbing a smoke when you don’t have an hour to work on a Churchill or if you want to have a couple in one sitting.
These are awesome. Pure and simple. Bought the mazo of Rothschild and began smoking them after about a week. I've smoked 5 of them. All were very tasty. Sweet on the finish. Consistent burn. Perfect draw. And all this for $32.50? I'm hooked. I just bought 3 more mazos because I know it will b e a while before a deal like these comes along again. Thanks CI!
....medium to full bodied. On first impression, construction was perfect and a smell of chocolate and rich aged tobacco of wrapper. Draw was very tight and dry for me. Flavors of bitter dark chocolate. Burn needed touch up. Flavor was strong and bitter consistently. Hint of spice. Strong, leathery taste. Ash held on for 1" considering it was only a 5" cigar. Overall experience was disappointing, but that being said, they are overruns....
Love gurkha cigars but not so much on the overruns
3of10 strong flavor
Just like buying from Gurkha themselves. Good burn with great taste. Does not burn too fast and this makes it great for the golf course.
It's awesome for the price...you get that earthy cocoa taste with that slight hint of I guess mint or eucalyptus.
I've been a fan of Gurkha's for a few years now, but have always treated them as a treat due to price. These overruns gave me a chance to pick up a bundle on the cheap and I really enjoyed the thick, cool smoke and slow burn. Each stick was very even and had a spicy edge thru out with earthy notes of tobacco and cedar on every puff. The construction was good with a minor blemish here and there, but overall, well built. If you have a chance, pick up a bundle!
I have never met a Gurkha I didn't like. These are par for the course.
If you like a pleasant, yet strong cigar, this is the one for you! I recently went through my second bundle of these beauties, and I'm hooked for life! WELL worth the price of admission.
I ordered the Gurkha Overuns. They didn't seem to be a 52 ring, but are a good smoking cigar.
