Mild and Flavorful - Benjamin Hartwell's friend, Jim Murdoch, was a real dandy, always dressed in the most fashionable styles of his day. He preferred his pipe tobaccos mild and with a hint of sweetness to please the women as he walked by (hey ladies!) Ben made this blend for Jim and called it Evening Stroll. Constructed of premium loose cut Virginias topped with liquor, Evening Stroll is an exceptional after dinner smoke with a pleasant room note.
“Out of the tin, it has a strong (but delightfully mild) aroma, reminiscent of vanilla and bourbon, with some undertones of toasty sweetness. When smoked slowly, it has a sweet liquor flavor, washes over the tongue very softly, the aftertaste is a creamy-sweet vanilla flavor, again when smoked slowly. When smoked quickly/hot, I have found that it will bite (just a little, nothing crazy) and almost all of the flavor will be completely gone. Now the room note she is something else. I smoked it outside and everyone walking by swore I was smoking toasted marshmallows. The smell it leaves behind is amazing. It's a good slow puffer, perfect for relaxation. (I even ordered a second tin)perfect for slow puffing.”
