Honoring an industry legend.

Pedro Martin is a name many don’t know today, but should. Now, with Gurkha’s new Pedro Martin line, the Pedro Martin name and the weight it carries will be honored. Pedro was the founder of what is known today as the Tabacalera Tropical factory, and mentored many of the top manufacturers on the scene today. Cuban-born, he began working the tobacco fields at age 7, and by age 40 he had traveled to the U.S. to put his skills to use stateside. Paying homage to this industry legend, Gurkha releases the Pedro Martin 2013 Limited Edition.

This full-bodied rarity boasts a 9-year aged Corojo wrapper leaf with ultra-fermented Nicaraguan long-fillers. After being rolled, they are set in cedar casks for 2 years, giving them ample time to allow flavors to meld and balance. Notes of black pepper, natural sweetness, coffee, cedar, and cream all make appearances throughout the journey. This limited edition release is highly in demand, with only 500 boxes being produced.
