Fifth generation master blender and Cuban native Jesus Fuego lives and breathes cigars. Finely tuning his craft in the legendary growing region of Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Fuego has been shelling out one hit-maker after another. With the threat of pending legislation against premium cigars looming over the industry for too long, Jesus refused to take it sitting down any longer. In his latest endeavor, Xikar Defiance looks to send a message to the lawmakers that resistance is certainly NOT futile in this fight for freedom!
If the cause wasn't good enough for you, the blend certainly is. A four year aged, beautifully crafted Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper cloaks this gem. Inside, a Nicaraguan shade-grown Corojo binder hugs finely aged Nicaraguan long-fillers. This Nicaraguan puro has already received a 92 rating and #18 Cigar of 2008 honors, boasting a smooth and rich profile ripe with nuances of currant, leather and caramel. A subtle natural sweetness ushers in the final third with a pleasant spice rounding out the finish. Fighting for your right to enjoy a premium cigar has never tasted so good!
I bought a box of these Xikar Defiance robustos. I have been searching for a cigar with a Criollo wrapper for some time, and there's not many brands with this feature. I recall smoking Perdomo 10th Anniversary Criollos, but try and find them... This cigar by Jesus Fuego is similar. A nice medium-bodied cigar with a toasty caramel tobacco flavor and outstanding aroma Honestly, I can't understand how these ended up in the clearance bin. I will be buying more, if they don't sell out.

Just got a box of these in & had one right off the truck. Awesome stick, I can't wait to see how these are after a few months in my humi. The cigar was a little slow getting started, but by the end of the first third of it, the flavor kicked in. Excellent cigar, I will definitely buy more!

For the price these cigars are the best for the money, I smoke these a couple times a week . The aroma with the smooth leathery taste is the perfect match I appreciate about this cigar, I'd recommend these to anyone that hasn't tried them .... Maybe I won't recommend these so that there would be more for me!

Excellent cigar, very smooth, good draw, nice even burn and very good price
There really isn't much more to say than what has already been said by the other reviewers. These cigars are sublime and should be in everyone's humi. These easily rival some of my Cuban favorites like Partagas Serie D no. 4, Monte Cristo no. 2, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure no. 2 and Ramon Allones Specially Selected. Seriously, these are such an unbelievable deal for the quality, construction, burn, smoke volume and flavour you'd be missing out if you pass up on these. They have definitely made me a Xikar fan. I'm just hoping they're will be some left over for me when I need to order more.
