Introducing Sam Leccia cigars. After taking a 3 year hiatus he's back, and he's behind the wheel of some impressive new handmades. And the good news is, instead of selling out, he's sticking to his guns of developing creative, innovative cigars.
First things first. Be cautious lads. Because it's true what they say. Once you go black....you'll never forget that sweet n' smokey dark fired taste. Indeed, this new beauty from Sam Leccia is crafted with a touch of dark fired tobacco. You'll also find a bevy of Nicaraguan and Dominican ligeros, Brazilian visos and a Nicaraguan binder joining the party too. Wrap all this up in a dark Habano wrapper, and you've got a recipe for one hell of a unique cigar. Medium to full in body, and exuding a wonderful whiskey-esque aroma, the profile slowly builds toward a grand crescendo. Go ahead and torch this one up with your favorite libation on the rocks, it goes together better than peas and carrots. Mmmm-mmmm!
“Well constructed, beautiful and even burn, thick smoke, then is very smooth and enjoyable. Adding more of these to my humi!”
WC of MILLVILLE, NJ
JM of HOUSTON, TX
“Absolutely fantastic. It has a smoky aroma right out of the cello wrapper. The smoky aroma and flavor come through for at least the first 2/3's of the stick. Very well constructed, and a great 90 minute smoke.”
RL of WEST HILLS, CA
“My favorite smoke! The fire cured leaf just smells delicious as soon as you open the box.”
CM of CHILLICOTHE, OH
“Fire cured leaf gives a unique smell and taste. Flavor is unusual and, at least for me, very interesting. Cigar construction is excellent, draw is perfect. I'm a robusto lover and this fits the bill. I also purchased George Rico Miami S.T.K. American Puro Robusto, which uses fire cured leaf. I'd also recommend this cigar.”
“Great Cigar! medium to full bodied and that fire cured tobacco adds a wonderful camp fire, smokey taste that does not overpower the habano wrapper or the other fillers. This was my first Leccia Black and also my first endeavor into fire cured tobacco. If you are a fire cured tobacco "virgin", then start right here with the Leccia Black. You will not be let down!!”
TB of LITHIA, FL
“The Leccia Black is a great stick - I like the flavor of the stick. It has the Kentucky fire cure tobacco in it however it's not as full as its competition. Great smoke to introduce the smokey flavor.”
