As part of his new portfolio, Ernesto Padilla wanted to make sure he covered all the bases. After having notched several successful medium to full-bodied blends into his belt, he's now got the milder side of things covered too. Introducing the Padilla Connecticut, catering to fans of mellower, tamer cigars.
To craft this mild to medium-bodied handmade, well-aged Nicaraguan long-fillers are stuffed inside a seamless Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. This results in smoke that is cool and well-balanced, but manages to burst with layers of flavor. The senses are engulfed with cedar, toast, cream, gentle spices, and rich tobacco. Just strong enough for a post steak dinner, but smooth enough for that morning cup o' joe, this is one of the most versatile Padilla cigars to date.
“I gravitate to Nicaraguan cigars, especially those from Oliva/Padilla, Alec Bradley, and Don Pepín Gracia and his son Jaime. While I prefer a fuller flavored cigar - the Reserve Maduro and Vintage Reserve from from Padilla are excellent - these Connecticuts from Padilla offer a pleasureable smoke. No French peanut, currant, or Belgian caramel notes here. Instead you get a consistent toasty tobacco and cedar flavor with a great even burn, an easy draw, and lotsa smoke. Very enjoyable at the end of a tough day with rye or bourbon and a good book. If you prefer a milder stick, try one of these.”

“Smoking my first Padilla Connecticut right now. Love it. I'm a heavy bodied nicaragua fan searching for a good conn. wrapped cigar as I haven't found one I like enough to buy- until now. Half way through and flavor is fabulous. Perfect draw, crisp burn, finish has a nice spicy pepper that fades fast. Nice cigar !”
