Cubero is an attractive and great-tasting brand of cigarillos crafted with 100% aged tobaccos and a gorgeous natural wrapper leaf. Expect a smooth, mellow experience with plenty of flavor. Blend No. 35 is enhanced with the rich and delicious aromas of rum, mint and sugar cane. It's like a delicious cigar mojito.
The first one I tried I didn't really like, mainly because I was allured with what's written on the box (as usual), trying to taste rum, mint, sugar cane, and a sweetened finish. I didn't get any of that and was initially disappointed. However, I should let you know I am not a frequent smoker, cigars/cigarillos are a once in a blue moon hobby for me, so my taste buds are not as fine tuned as the ones of a proper connoisseur. With that said, the next time I tried one was after smoking a more natural blend (I believe it was a John Bull), composed of only tobacco taste. Oh boy was that different! This time the No. 35 tasted much smoother, lighter, and milder. A very comfortable and good smoke, if you can take your time between puffs. Okay, onto the flavors. There's a strong (and good!) rum aroma and taste BEFORE the cigar is lit. I didn't get any rum on the actual smoke. The "hint" of mint is probably one of the most predominant flavors, but don't let it trick you like it tricked me the first time, it's not like a refreshing menthol or eucalyptus taste, it's like an unsweetened mint tea. That's the taste. And I love it. I didn't get any sugar cane and have no idea where they got that from. The tip is sweetened, and the finish it short.
