Taking Cohiba to the next level.
The eXtra Vigoroso - or XV for short - from Cohiba cigars is a beauty of a smoke, rolled with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan Ligero and Cuban seed Dominican Ligero long filler and a three-year old Connecticut broadleaf binder. Limited in production, this one's a full-bodied masterpiece.
“The Cohiba XV 660 has got to be my favorite cigar. It's pricey but well worth it. Like the other guy said, sit down and hold on. You're in for quite a ride.”

“Cohiba XV is a fun cigar. Just sit down, light up, and hang on. It is a trip. Strong, flavorful but by no means smooth. This one can peel the tastebuds off anyones tongue. It is not a walking around cigar you need to set down and savor and hopefully survive. I love it.”

“To the guy in Alaska--Sorry, dude. The Cohiba XV ain't as strong as you think. You need to get out of the arctic air up there and get yourself down here into some spicy, hot, humid Southern air. I smoked the 6 x 45 in a duck blind. It was one of the smoothest cigars I had ever touched, and my taste buds were still intact. Like all you herfers out there---there are certain smokes that mark a certain time in your life that you will never forget. Well, this was one of those smokes. By the way, to the guys who are writing comments in Fan Mail like they are text messaging---would you write like English grammar was intended to be written?”

“Cohiba XV was one of the smoothest cigars I've smoked. Doesn't live up to its name Xtra Vigoroso but it still worth the price you pay. Just sit down with bourbon in one hand and a Cohiba XV in the other and enjoy. It burns slow and even when cut and lit right.”

“On a serious note. The Cohiba XV was a very enjoyable cigar. A little pricey, but well worth it. It was strong but smooth and had a really great draw and was very well constructed. I really look forward to trying the 6x60”
“I expected something more for the money and the name, extra vigoroso? At best, it is a mild cigar with substance. The burn was slighty uneven but probably would have been ok with a little down time in the humidor. It started to unwrap, I tolerated it and burned past that part. Ash was flakey. It tasted good and made me smoke it to the nub but the whole time, expecting something more with each puff but never happened. Easy draw and plenty of smoke. I am glad these were a gift and I didn't fork out that cash. I would have sent them back. Everybody has different taste.”

“OKAY............I will revisit my last review. The cigars have been in my humidor, naked, for about a month. They taste a bit stronger now but still want to shed their wrapper about mid way. I will try again when the weather gets warmer and more humid as this may correct the splitting problem, i hope. Thanks”

“Delicious cigar that holds tons of flavors. Never gets old...burnt myself trying to get the last bit of deliciousness out of the nub. Excellent cigar and well worth the price.”

“Got the XV with my cigar of the month shipment and gave it a whirl. I was somewhat surprised by how smooth the cigar started out. Nice easy draw, but no bite. There was little substance for a full-bodied cigar. About 15 minutes in, this baby came to life. The XV remained surprisingly smooth but gained more body and had a distinct leathery taste. After smoking the XV down to a nub, I will stand by the consistency throughout, but don't think this is going to make my top ten.”

“Just had one for the first time this weekend (Cinco de Mayo weekend of 2013) and went ahead and bought several more. I'm not used to full-flavored cigars myself, but this was considerably stronger than the mild-to-mediums I typically have. The depth of flavor on this particular stick was not overwhelming, the body certainly was full -- but on the more medium area of the spectrum of full. If you never had a full-bodied cigar, and this is your first one, you are in for a nice surprise towards the end. I almost burned by fingers trying to keep it lit to the last half-inch. I had brown fingers by the end of it, but it was well-worth the $8 to stroll around a huge car show in style!”

“Smooth and great flavor, but not as dynamic and full bodied as I expected. I will try one in the future to revisit my review”
