I like a steak just like the next fella. And just to preface something, I'm no high society type that needs organic beef with a glass of Perrier. Any nice cut of steak will do. But there's definitely no denying how damn tasty organic products can be. And now, the organic market has reached the next frontier: cigars.
Enter Verdadero Organic cigars. Crafted in Nicaragua utilizing 100% organic long-filler tobaccos. Tobaccos planted in virgin soil, never before used for any other crop, reserved exclusively for this very blend. These soils are uber-rich in nutrients, and when paired with the organic farming methods, yields a one-of-a-kind experience. Seriously - it's one of the most interesting blends I've ever encountered. Thanks to the seamless Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, the smoke is creamy and smooth producing a mild to medium-bodied profile. But really kicking the blend into 6th gear is the dried raisin note, it fuses perfectly with the mellow toasty core. Unique indeed, this is one you simply have to try for yourself.
I just got a single toro because I was curious to try it but wasn't sure how good it would be. I let it rest for six months and smoked it today. NICE CIGAR !! I could tell by my eyes that it's a Connecticut wrap, but it doesn't taste like one. I tasted a very nice, full-flavor. It's classified as mild-med. but I'll tell you that I smoke a whole lot of full-bodied cigars and I most definitely felt this one both in my gut and my head. It absolutely has some strength to it. And I smoked it after a hearty breakfast (my 2nd cigar of the day). Construction was very good as was the draw, easy with just the right amount of smoke. Burn was slow and cool and very straight. The only problem is as I write this, this cigar is out of stock and I would like to get more of these. Please, C.I. try to get these back in stock. I have no doubt many customers would enjoy these as much as I did. Really a unique, very pleasant smoking experience.
