With a deep bench of 90+ rated blends and a lengthy family history in the cigar industry, Torano is no stranger to creating innovative, high-quality blends. Their latest, Salutem, holds true to form....delivering a rich, medium-bodied smoke that's delicious from start to finish.
To create Salutem, Charlie Torano worked a little outside the box. A dark, oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a silky Jalapa binder, and a unique combination of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Cameroon (Africa), long-fillers. This combination presents a well-rounded profile that fires on all cylinders. Smoothness, balance, texture, richness, and more - it's all there and perfectly in sync. Expect notes of earth, coffee, leather, wood, nuts, caramel, and pepper. Excellent, no doubt, but we'd expect no less from Torano.
“I just smoked one on my downtime at work. The first 1/4 was less than a pleasant draw, however, it smoothed out after that and was quite pleasant. The construction is solid, leaving me an ash almost 2 1/2 inches long. Maybe not the best cigar I have ever had, but for somebody just looking to try something a bit different, this is definitely worth a roll.”

“Big clouds of smoke and a spicy-sweet taste. Smooth cigar indeed. I like this one, the Colosseum has more of a caramel taste, which I love.”
EW of Virginia Beach, VA
“My first one of these was just so-so. Nothing to write home about.... Very non-descriptive except the thought of charcoal. If my next one is different, I'll be sure to update here and give it another review.”
