Like a crazed ship captain boldly steering into uncharted waters, Rocky is at it again. The guy is a cigar maniac, and trust me when I tell you, what he has achieved here is nothing less than extraordinary. Introducing the Rocky Patel Private Cellar, a personal favorite of Rocky, that no doubt will become one of his most well-known creations to date.
From first light, it's easy to see why Rocky has so much vested in this blend. It has all the bases covered. Looks, check. Top-notch tobaccos, check. Complex and interesting, check. Droves of flavor, check. But before I get too ahead of myself, let's get to the blend at hand. It all starts with a dark, alluring Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, oozing with oils and sheen. This seamless leaf hugs a long-filler bouquet of Nicaraguan fillers secured by a Nicaraguan binder. This blend took years of tinkering and tweaking, and it's immediately evident. Cool, thick smoke greets the palate as waves of rich, bold, yet refined flavors enter the fray. Hints of natural sweetness, dark chocolate, cocoa, earth, and an undeniable spicy-sweetness are all in attendance. It's safe to say this is another one of Rocky's cigars soon to be endowed with another 90+ rating.
“This has to be my favorite RP! A good solid burn from beginning to end giving off subtle nuances of cocoa, chocolate, and a sweet spice that truly comes to fruition as you near the end. Don't be fooled however, this is not a super sweet cigar. The best part about this cigar is the consistent rich smoke you get from each puff that you will enjoy. This is a mainstay in my humi and I always try to keep at least 10 sticks in reserve.”

“Rich smoke with an excellent flavor. Don't be afraid to snatch these up when you can! Quickly becoming my favorite mid week after a hard day cigar”

“An overall AVERAGE cigar with a nice Pre light draw with some big veins in the leaf on this one. TATSE: 1st third had some peppery spice with a dark wood earth like tobacco taste with a hint of cocoa. The pepper & cocoa slips away leaving mostly a tobacco earthy taste until the final third. Final 3rd was the best part with the slight pepper returning with a great sweat chocolate taste mixing with the tobacco earthy taste. I prefer the Rocky 15th Anniversary & Rocky Edge, or Vintage 1990 over this stick. Rocky is a great company and they have better cigars.

“I agree. Great cigar with an easy draw and stays lit. Great notes of flavor. All of the cigar shops in Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota seem not to have it in stock anymore.”

“All I can say is delicious! Great draw, smoke, and cool burning. It gets sweeter as it goes. Nub burner for sure. Compares to the 92 Vintage, but I think this one is just a little better and deeper flavor-wise.”
