Burn baby, burn.
Burn Naples Florida is Rocky Patel's newest cigar named after his swanky cigar lounge located in Naples, Florida. If you haven't been, Burn is a place where beer flows like wine, and local cigars enthusiasts flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I kid, the place is legit, and this once rare handmade reserved only for Burn lounge patrons is now available to the masses.
An exciting new release, Burn Naples Florida is one of Rocky's best efforts yet. A re-blend of its predecessor, simply named Burn, this Honduran puro shows up to the big stage well prepared. On the outside awaits a Honduran Habano wrapper shiny with oils. This handsome leaf houses a proprietary blend of Honduran long-fillers, as well as a top-secret filler, to create a bevy of rich, smooth flavors. Up front cedar and coffee greet the palate before being joined by cocoa, earth and toast. Medium bodied, and leaning toward medium to full, each billowy puff is better than the last. De-lish from start to finish, my money is on these becoming uber-popular in an expeditious fashion. And if you ever get a chance to visit Burn lounge, tell 'em Jeff Kocher sent you, and you'll get the V.I.P. treatment.
“I'm a big Rocky Patel fan, but I had not yet tried the Burn, so I picked one up the other day and put it in my humidor. After about a week I torched it up. It is an excellent smoke. The wrapper is gorgeous with a bit of an oily texture. It has a whitish ash with an earthy aroma and a nice even burn. It's a medium bodied smoke but full of flavor and it has a smooth finish. This smoke gets better as it burns. I'm buying a box.”

“I've visited Burn in Naples. First class all the way. I strolled through the humidor just for fun but I went in wanting to try the signature smoke from this lounge. I picked out a toro Burn and went back to the bar. Ordered a drink and lit up. I spent the next 90 minutes or so savoring a very fine cigar. Great cigar, always best service and prices from CI.”

“Not a big fan of RP cigars.... that being said RP Burn was a pleasant surprise, good construction, consistently good burn, long ash, slight resistance on draw, puts a out a good volume of smoke, nice flavors, hints of spice, pepper, chocolate, wood, earth, toast, nuts, and cream. Starts ofs as a light medium then gradually builds to a medium-full in last third.”
“I'm a huge fan of the RP Vintage series, but I wanted to try some thing different from the Rocky collection. I smoke my first Burn today and I was very impressed. I like everything from mild to full. This was presented as a medium bodied cigar, which is my favorite for an everyday smoke. But after about a quarter into it, it's anything but medium bodied. This smoke has some heavy body to it! It has great character and tons of flavor. Every puff has a different taste to it. This over sized Toro is fantastic, and will send your taste buds in overdrive. As I sit on deck on a nice Pennsylvania summer night, I highly recommend every Medium to Full bodied fan to try this out. I doubt you'll be disappointed.”

“My wife bought me 7 boxes of cigars for my birthday. This is a standout! Great draw...burns even the whole way. Medium to full flavor. Lots of smoke. Easy to enjoy. Real crisp tobacco taste. Earthy with a nice touch of spice. Enjoyed it from beginning to end. Gotta try this one!”

“I haven't had much experience with the RP brand, but if this cigar is indicative of they type of product you can expect, I'm VERY impressed. It starts out as a rather light, slightly spicy and nutty smoke, and builds to a medium full smoke right up near the nub. In between I got layers of flavor, including cinnamon, coffee, dark fruit and an almost salted caramel type sweetness in the back of my palate. Ash was bright white and well formed without flakiness, the aroma while burning was one of the best I've smelled, so much so that my wife said she may even allow these to be smoked in the house. It stayed cool and approachable all the way up until my fingers were heating up at the nub; I smoked this stick until less than a half inch remained above the v-cut I put on it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of these, and in a larger size than I normally smoke. I picked up the robusto at a local B&M in a buy 3 get one free deal. I have a feeling a Toro or even a Churchill would be even better!”
