October....no longer a month for beer festivals and prancing about town in your Spiderman costume. Introducing, Quesada Oktoberfest, a small-batch seasonal cigar from Manuel Quesada - maker of Casa Magna and Fonseca. With production limited to a mere 500 boxes, Oktoberfest was specifically manufactured to pair with everyone’s favorite libation....beer!
Blending a cigar to pair with beer is no easy feat. But who better to fill the tall order than the legendary Manuel Quesada? This hearty Dominican puro all begins with a Dominican Cibao wrapper that is thick, dark and oily. This beautiful leaf hugs an all-Dominican recipe of long-filler criollos, visos, and ligeros, producing a hearty medium to full-bodied cigar chock full of flavor and complexity. From the first puff, you’ll know why the Oktoberfest is so special. Pleasant notes of cedar, earth, and dark chocolate mingle throughout a cool slow burn. Like many of the beers Oktoberfest was crafted toward, expect rich natural flavors to highlight a smooth but robust body. Beer, or no beer, the Oktoberfest is great any time of year.
Got a great deal on this and I am completely happy with the quality. This is one of my favorite smokes and always in the humi rotation.

Quesada Oktoberfest Obscure is a medium - full body, slightly veined but well constructed cigar. It lights well, has a good draw with a slightly firm ash. I detect flavors of wood, earth, and some dark chocolate on the back of the pallet. I like pairing it with beers like a lager, stout, or IPA. But you don't have to smoke this cigar with a beer. I find that this cigar smokes equally well by itself. If you catch these babies on sale, grab them my Brothers! It's well worth the price!
