Gurkha is a dynamite, top-of-the-line Dominican. Gurkha cigars are hand-rolled from the finest tobaccos grown in the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic. The Louis XIII line is one of the finest that Gurkha makes.
The Grand Reserve (copper) features a premium Connecticut shade wrapper, and each cigar is infused with fine Louis XIII Cognac, resulting in a unique, subtle, pleasant finish. Not dipped, sprayed or injected, this secretive process is utterly unique, resulting in an extraordinarily mellow, subtle and refined taste that has not been duplicated by any other cigar maker.
Each cigar is gorgeously presented under glass in crystal tubos, and each glass tube is characteristically hand-dipped in wax for a one-of-a-kind presentation.
super CREAMY!, Smooth, beautiful silky smooth usa Connecticut shade wrapper. Construction is flawless. Pack is soft not firm. The cognac is extremely present. The draw is perfect. Length is slightly larger then the standard churchill. Smoke production is very good. So far i love it. Ill update you at the end
2nd 1/3 gets a bit peppery not over powering, stays smooth and develops a woody note not ceder more like oak. The cognac concentration decreases over the length of the cigar. Entering the 3rd 1/3 the cognac is more of like a wood barrel that had cognac but emptied (dry cognac)

I first had this cigar a few years ago and it was very good, one of my favorites, but this time was a different story. I ordered a 3 pack and a buddy of mine and myself each had one at the same time and they were like 2 totally different cigars. Mine had no infused flavor but a good draw, and his had a lot of flavor but was very tight. Disappointed.
