From the elegant Graycliff resort to the extravagant dining, this company focuses on luxury. So, there is no question that Graycliff has a couple top-notch cigar blends reserved for the privileged few that are lucky enough to score one of the popular cottage suites. Well, Graycliff was nice enough to supply us with a small allotment of the Casillero Privada, a blend originally crafted for a VIP at the resort.
This cigar is no doubt as exclusive as they come. Featuring a complex blend of Nicaraguan, Brazilian, and Dominican long-fillers enveloped in a silky Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, this Graycliff is full-bodied from start to finish. Its balanced fusion of premium tobaccos yield notes of toast and nuts with a cedary sweetness and hints of black pepper. The shaggy foot gives the Casillera Privada that nice rustic island charm, while the simple, yet unique band gives the cigar an elegant feel.
Great tasting cigar typical of the Graycliff tradition. Complex as some of the single malts I enjoy them with. Only downside is that it is rolled looser than other Graycliff's I smoke. Starts out burning fast but about 1/2 way through slows down considerably. You'll smoke this one to the nub.

The Greycliff cigar is nice.

The Greycliff cigar is nice. It is a measure cigar. Take your time to smoke it, it is made to enjoy. The tattered end takes some getting used to but it burns even and hoods its flavor.
