Enter the new saga of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo - E.P. Carrillo Maduro.
Cigar-making legend Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has long been known as the mastermind behind La Gloria Cubana. A full-bodied, full-flavored, blockbuster brand. After managing and expanding this legendary brand for decades, Ernesto has branched out to create a new series of delicious super-premiums under his own name, E.P. Carrillo.
E.P. Carrillo Maduro is a fantastic, medium to full-bodied handmade from one of the industry’s oldest and most respected cigar artisans. Each beautiful vitola boasts lush Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. This leaf is dark, thick, oily, and has been aging for a minimum of 3 years prior to its placement upon a bold blend of aged tobaccos including Nicaraguan and Dominican long-fillers. The smoke is eventful and thorough, issuing a rich and toasty bouquet that’s woodsy and smooth to the core. Sweet peppery nuances are left on the finish, complementing the zesty aroma to perfection and completing a complex experience sure to soothe the palate with each smoke-filled puff.
“This is my go-to cigar for any event. I just got a big new humidor that holds 500 cigars and I am slowly filling it with EP Carillo.”
EB of Woodbridge, VA
“I thought Ernesto couldn't do better than the first Short Run series. However, this cigar exceeded my expectations. I'm not usually a maduro fan, but Carrillo maduro made me a convert.”
MK of Lawrence, KS
“Just got a couple a week ago. And after a "rest" in the humi... Fired one up. What a great cigar for the money. Will be ordering a box as soon as I finish this review!”
DM of Herndon, VA
“Next to the Diesel Unlimited Maduro, I have E.P. Carrillo Maduro. The both of them are my go to smokes. I really enjoy these with a Octoberfest brew on the deck in the crisp fall weather about 68 degrees. This smoke has great flavor, great billow of smoke, great draw and construction. 94 rating in my book, if I want more spice and flavor I go Diesel, if I want something a little more mellow but on the same level no doubt it's E.P. Carrillo. They sit side by side in my humi. Literally!”
