Cigar-making legend Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has long been known as the mastermind behind La Gloria Cubana. A full-bodied, full-flavored, blockbuster brand. After managing and expanding this legendary brand for decades, Ernesto has branched out to create a new series of delicious super-premiums under his own name, E.P. Carrillo.
E.P. Carrillo is a fantastic, medium to full-bodied handmade from one of the industry's oldest and most respected cigar artisans. Each beautiful vitola boasts an impressive Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. This leaf is dark, leathery, oily, and has been aging for a minimum of 3 years prior to its placement upon a bold blend of aged tobaccos including Nicaraguan and Dominican long-fillers. The smoke is eventful and thorough, issuing a rich and creamy bouquet that's woodsy and toasty to the core. Sweet peppery nuances are left on the finish, complementing the zesty aroma to perfection and completing a complex experience sure to soothe the palate with each smoke-filled puff.
In addition to a spot among the world's Top 25 Cigars, E.P. Carrillo received a 92-point rating, noting: "... creamy yet spicy, taking on savory notes of leather and a black-cherry sweetness."
“The brand is just all quality, and this line is probably one of the nicer premiums on the market.”

“I've always fancied just about everything made by Carrillo and the E. P.Carrillo Colosos is certainly no exception. Starting with a lovely pre-light aroma and continuing with an even burn and firmish ash, this cigar was pleasant to the very end. Another one to keep on hand.”

“A fantastic alternative to the La Gloria Serie R, which I grew to love many years ago. The Encantos takes me back to the old Serie R #4.
This has replaced the #4 in my humidor !”

“Received this in the CI cigar of the month club, in the pyramid style. The only thing I would change is to switch the pyramid to a 52 or higher ring size. This may sound funny, but due to the cigar tappering down, it kept sliding out of my mouth. The pepper flavor I could have done without, but many like the sting in cigars with hints of pepper. While it is a good cigar, it is not one that I would purchase. However, I believe that there are many who would enjoy thsi cigar”
“I discovered these in the True Grit sampler. What a cigar. The pyramid is a rustic cigar. Loaded with full bodied flavor and well balanced. Medium full at least. A beautifully constructed cigar. A box deserves to be in any full bodied smokers humidor.”

“Right off the bat, loaded with earth, woods and pepper. With a smooth and even draw, this cigar has undertones of cedar and a creamy coffee sweetness. The finish is silky smooth with white pepper on the nose. Well balanced and a delicate yet rustic wrap. This is one intense medium bodied smoke.”
PW of Charlestown, RI
“I have a humidor with several hundred cigars and the E.P.Carrillo is one that I always enjoy! The cigar has that little something extra that makes it special! The blending of this cigar provides ample flavor which coats the pallet with decident flavors that are consistent and memorable! One of the best cigars being made today, and one that will appeal to anyone looking for something that stands apart from the hundreds of brands available! You must try it!”
TC of Temecula, CA
“In all honestness when I think of a dynomite cigar I think La flor de las Antillas and E.P. Carillo. These cigars are among the best I have ever tasted”
