Tres Reynas = 3 queens = 3 sisters.
What happens when two of the industry's most respected families combine? Big things, very big things. That's exactly what we have here, a project fusing the talents of the Quesadas (of Fonseca fame) and the Garcia family (of My Father Cigars). There's just one small, but rather interesting detail I didn't mention. This cigar, Tres Reynas, is made by the ladies. And trust me when I say that it's not to be taken lightly.
The brainchild of Janny Garcia, Patricia Quesada, and Raquel Quesada, Tres Reynas means 'three queens'. Symbolizing their close knit friendship, this limited-edition cigar is flat-out impressive. Hailing from the My Father factory in Nicaragua, each Tres Reynas comes dressed in a dark and beautiful Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. This scrumptious leaf sits atop a healthy dose of Nicaraguan long-fillers hugged by a Nicaraguan binder. This rich blend produces medium-bodied smoke containing hints of sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee bean, as gentle hints of spice weave in and out. Hearty, delicious, and never overpowering Tres Reynas is captivating, thanks to its ultra-smooth bouquet and layers of meaty flavor. In short - this handmade would make daddy proud.
“I tried the Belicoso last night. This cigar was Cubanesque as are most Of the Pepin Garcia's I have enjoyed. Especially the draw, which true to Cuban fashion, very tight. The flavor started out strong with a spicy blast, but mellowed to a smooth well balanced smoke. I think the girls will have a home run if they learn to loosen their grip.”

“Bought a box when CI offered the 50% sale. I didn't know what to expect when I lit up but, let me tell you, this is one fine cigar-Holds the ash a long long time and doesn't leave a sharp taste in your mouth when your done with it. I would say the ladies got a keeper!!”

“Ok, so my first experience was disappointing at best. I felt like I wasted my time and money. However, I gave these girls a little time to come around and decided to give them a second chance. Why? Well hell...because I bought a whole damn box. After allowing for some rest in the humidor to bring them back up some I have to say I'm glad I gave them a second chance. We all deserve one right? After all, that's what life is about. Learning from your mistakes. Turns out I really like these. I enjoyed the aroma, draw, construction, and taste. Not overpowering. This is a good after dinner cigar in my opinion. I'm specifically referring to the Gordos. Some may disagree with my after dinner assessment due to the size but that's where I disagree. Go big or go...well, you get the picture. These are worth the investment and I'll be enjoying these for some time.”

“Tres Reynas has become one of my favorites. Just as the description indicates it is a rich blend of complex flavor's. I call it a medium-full bodied smoke. I too taste the hints of sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee. I recommend a Gordo for a full and smooth draw. It is a pure joy to smoke from start to finish.”
