Description

An ode to America.

When Arnaldo Gonzalez made the 90 mile journey from Cuba to the Florida Keys in 1980, he was in search of a life of freedom and prosperity and that is exactly what he found. As a third generation in the tobacco industry, he grew up watching his father and grandfather work the fields of Cuba. With knowledge of the business in toe, he fled the Communist regime put in place by Fidel Castro to try his hand in the U.S. market. This wonderfully crafted gem is a tribute to that 90 mile trek to freedom, fittingly named, Flor de Gonzalez 90 Miles.

Receiving an appropriate 90 rating from Cigar Aficionado, 90 Miles is a Cuban-esque blend that calls back to the Havanas of old. Handmade with aged Nicaraguan long-fillers and a Nicaraguan binder, 90 Miles grabs your attention right off the bat. A shimmering Habano Rosado wrapper graces the outside giving this prize aesthetics second to none. Starting with strong notes of a delightful natural sweetness mixed with cedar and leather and working its way to complex hints of earth, pepper, and spice, this is one blend that you are going to want to come across.

Flor de Gonzalez 90 Miles received a well-deserved 90-rating noting: "Though covered in a rustic, veiny wrapper, this cigar burns and draws perfectly showing a pleasantly sweet character that ranges from cedar to cinnamon to honey."
