CI Knock-Offs - Compare to Montecristo

The classic taste of the world’s biggest brand, for a fraction of the price. Indeed. The time has come, and this newest CI Knock-Off may be the best yet. A surprisingly similar blend to one of the industry’s most respected names, these eerily similar-tasting handmades will save you a whole lotta cash. Each time you burn one of these smooth, creamy, and rich beauties, think about that Hamilton you saved, smile, then take another puff. You won’t miss much, but you’ll save so much cash you won’t know what to do with it all.

Montecristo is a registered trademark of Altadis USA.

Nice Everyday Smoke
The price was right on these, get some and enjoy the day.

They're cheap and can't be beat
Truthfully I can say these are very similar to the montecristo taste profile. It really is a great kick around stick. As these are short filler you will get some tobacco in your mouth if you use a standard cutter. I've found that a punch solved any issues. At this price you can't ask for much more. I would and will buy another bundle. Also, these have been in my humidor for about a year and they are still performing well.

Quality For Less
I'm a big Montecristo #2 Torpedo fan. I can only buy the real thing when I'm traveling overseas. The CI Knock Off's and the JR Alternative are two of my favorate smokes and I buy them reguliarly. They are as close as I can come and worth it. Great flavor, smooth burn and can be relit without loosing their taste.

good value
Good value, I have only smoked two so far, both on the golf course, lasted almost a full 9 holes. The first one had a few re-lights but otherwise both were a good mild burn. Jury is still out on the overall purchase but I think it will be a good value in the long run and I'll buy again.

Perfect burn every time!
Love these. Yeah, yeah - they may not be exactly like a Montecristo No. 2, but they are tasty smokes! Perfect size for my hour long morning commute. Nice and mild so they're great for the first stick of the day. Every one I've lit up so far has burned perfectly - never ran and never went out. Just bought another bundle for vacation next week and I'll probably pick up another one as soon as I get back!

Fantastic
Absolutely phenomenal cigar. I judge a cigar by the enjoyment of the smoke, and I highly enjoyed this one. Very smooth, nice flavor great draw. You will not be displeased with this purchase! I only wish they would mark these somehow since I usually stick to the Knock-off line, I sometimes get them mixed up with my other purchases.

Great Cigar!
No kidding, this is a great, well made cigar that often fools the snobs. They taste great, burn even, and stay good down to the soggy butt.

Definitely not an accurate imitation of the Monetcristo...but still a decent smoke for the price.

CI Knockoffs (Montecristo Corona)
I was not impressed positive or negative..(but they look exactly like the Original Cubans that I also ordered.I don't see any difference in size, packaging,or smoking them) maybe just different labels ? ) but I gave them 4 stars because I did smoke it with no problems.
5 out of 5
Well it's a knock off
The wrappers were good as was the initial draw. The cigar smoked well and created a good ash. Plenty of smoke with the draw. It was more bitter than my customary Montecristo.
2 out of 5
Worth a try, but no cigar
Pros - Construction, draw, smell, appearance, smoke, burn. Cons - Compared to a real Habana Montecristo No 2. Not even close. The cigar is mild to slightly medium. I would have given the cigar a rating of a 3, if only because the comparison is misleading. However I gave it a 2 because buried in the taste is a slight sour, acidic, solvent like note. Not strong but enough to notice it. I let these cigars rest for 7 months in the humidor at 70/70. Lit one with a butane torch, after about 4 minutes I extinguished it. I guess you get what you pay for. It was worth experimenting to see if there really is a good cheap cigar. This one almost made it, but fell short on taste and in terms of weighting, taste is worth a lot of points. Anyway into the organic waste bin they went to make some room for something better. Why smoke it if it does not taste right? Disappointed but understand.

Best cigar for the money
For the price this is definitely the best cigar I have ever smoked. I live in Oklahoma and this is the only cigar I have that will stay lit and burn evenly while golfing in our horrible wind. Taste is excellent, smoke is excellent, construction is excellent. Try and you will no be disappointed.

CI Montecristo knock offs
Everyone in our golf group is smoking these now. It would take a real aficiodano to tell the difference. If you need a band to make you look good, don't buy em. If you want a great cigar that burns even, tastes good, even stays lit on a windy Mid-Atlantic golf course you can't beat them. These are my favorites and it doesn't take food off the table to fill your humidor with them.

I really enjoy the CI Knock-offs. I've tried cigars from some of the major players (Monte Cristos, Romeo & Juliet). Monte Cristos Knock-Offs are my choice great taste and priced just right.

Was a bit skeptical upon buying these cigars at first but I am glad I did. These cigars are a great smoke and a great value. I bought the gordos and have enjoyed smoking them. Will definitely buy again!

nice and cheap too
I smoke 2-3 a day so i cant afford the big bucks brands all the time. This is a nice alternative. Smooth drawing, lots of smoke and no bite.
3 out of 5
Okay for goolf course cigar
Flavor was nothing like a Montecristo. Some burned uneven (canoe) and some burned fine. Would probably not buy again. There are better golf course cigars available.
2 out of 5
Too much smoke
The taste isn't bad but he amount of smoke put out is quite stifling to the smoker as well as the others nearby. A good golf cigar if you are walking or riding by yourself.

Macanudo knockoffs
Recently, I purchased a bundle of Cigars that you advertise as being like Macanudo. It would be more accurate for you to advertise them as being like King Edward. Otherwise, everything else is great.

Best Money Spent on Cigars in 2015
Great smoke for a great price. I have been hesitant to try the knock-off, but they smoked very well and tasted just like the original for a fraction of the price.
4 out of 5
Great, everyday cigar choice.
Excellent flavor, well made, and smokes down to the soggy nub on the first lighting; what more can you ask? This bundled, un-banded stogie may not impress your cigar-snob friends, but it's become one of my top ten favorite.

Nice smoke that does not empty your wallet!
This is a nice daily stick for the guy who comes home and has a glass of Bourbon and wants to enjoy a nice cigar that is not going to break the bank. I have ordered these a few times now and truly enjoy the taste. It has a nice draw as well and for the price, you cant go wrong.

I lived in Panama in
I lived in Panama in the 60's and in the free trade zone had access to the great Cubans. Montecristos were my favorites. These Knock-Offs drawn, taste and look like Cuban Montecristos. Because their sandwiched, they don't feel like Montecristos but at the price, who cares?

Stuck with - Bad Quality Corona Batch
When I received they were in very bad condition (very soft). I was told they might been over humidified. So keep them outside for a day and half, still no good, they are softer than cigarets. Unfortunately CI did not replace them with another CI knock offs I requested, which was good (the Robusto). Instead offered me offered me a partial refund which was not worth the RMA as I used the purchase with a gift card and 20% coupon on my original large order. Btw. I would not order Croronas agin from CI.

Very good cigar for a value.
I tried one corona before putting it for aging in humidor. Very firm, nice packed, burns evenly ,with a nice mild, smooth ,nutty and bit buttery taste. Just the way I like it. Its a great cigar, with a coffee, or some fruit forward red wine. Recommended!!!

Good value
Good consistency-stick to stick. Even burn. Not overly harsh when smoked to the nub.

CI Knockoffs are great.
I can't afford the real Montecristo. When this was offered I was thinking that it would be a cheap no taste smoke. Damn was I wrong. Great flavor and good to the last inch. Don't know how you pulled this off. Hope this is a lasting item.

A little disapointed, nothing like a Montecristo
Not a bad cigar, but when expecting a good cigar I was disapointed
4 out of 5
Bang for the buck? BANG!!!
I cannot speak to the Montecristo brand, as I I like them a lithe stronger and a little more economical. But I CAN say that these little gems are fantastic. At first smoke, they were decent cigars, sure enough. Mild to medium with good flavor. But I let a few of these nap for several months - maybe 6-7? - and lit one up the other night. DAY'YUM!!! These are a great milder smoke! Just let them rest a little while and if you're not a believer in this stick right-off-the-truck, you will be 6 months from now!

Awesome!!!
I had my doubts about these but when I got them I was very pleased. I will be getting more for sure. Hats off to CI on these they are without a doubt a great comparison to Montecristo my only recommendation is to create a cool band as they come without bands. For me it's an extra bit of eye candy with my smoke.
2 out of 5
Not even close
Let me start by saying that the knock off were a fine smoke, but they were not even close to what a true Montecito Corona taste or smoke like.
3 out of 5
probably won't order again
I have to say I'm a little disappointed in these. Quality is somewhat lacking and they burn very fast. Flavors are average at best. Most have stayed lit pretty well but I like a cigar that takes much longer to smoke.

Montecristo Robusto Knockoff Review
I have been smoking the Macanudo knockoffs which are fantastic and I decided to try the Montecristo. They are also great tasting and a tremendous value.
4 out of 5
Very good cigar!
I am very fond of the Montecristo Especial #3, so I was curious but skeptical about this cigar. Finally I ordered a bundle of twenty so I could try them. I was pleasantly surprised! The construction is not up to the Montecristo, as I get some tobacco in my mouth occasionally. But these cigars have very good flavor and burn and I can see why they compare them to the Montecristo. I have enjoyed each one that I have smoked, and I will order them again! The savings is much appreciated, and these cigars satisfy!

Great price for a good cigar
I like to keep budget cigars on hand to share with friends who "forgot" theirs. I will admit this surprised me. Im not a cigar critic but these were good burning cigars. Nice even burn, good feel and plenty of smoke. I will be buying more!!

Smooth and mellow smoke
I received my packages of CI knockoff Montecristo, La Gloria, and Romeo and Julieta yesterday. I could not wait for them to mello in my humidor, so I tried all today. All were flavorful, with the MC knock off being a smooth medium mild smoke. Good burn and even ash, with a good draw. if they are all this good now, I am of the opinion that a week or two in my humidor will make then even better.

cant beat it for the money. Slow burn lasts 9 holes in golf course
Customer Testimonials
These are without a doubt the best buy that CI has to offer. I have tried 5 of the 6 knock offs that CI offers. You can't beat these churchills for taste, smooth draw and excellent consistent construction, and that's not based on one or two sticks; it's based on about 100 or more and you won't have a heart attack if you happen to leave one laying on the golf course, you just light up another and enjoy. Much better than some of the $5-$7 sticks I've tried
I ordered the churchill knock-offs and left them in my humidor along side of some Monte Cristo white label churchills. After 3 months the knock-offs smoke better than the real thing. I'm very impressed with these knock-off cigars. They have an even burn, light ash, and oh yes they definitely taste like Monte Cristos. If word gets around, I expect these will be a hot item. You can't beat the price.
The flavors of a Monte are definitely there although hotter and harsher. Perhaps a few months in the humidor will mellow them out.
My new everyday cigar! Thanks, CI!
I'm by no means an expert, but I know what I like, and I like these. Easy to light, easy draw and a nice smooth taste, what else could anyone want. Oh, I know, hey C.I. how about opening a store in Pittsburgh?
Never bought a Montecristo. Probably never will, given the price and quality of these knock-offs. Good wrap, nice draw, great finish.
This is the first time I've gotten Knockoffs and I have to say, they're pretty damn good and I will be buying them again.
Always consistently good!! A great value on an everyday cigar!
Was happily surprised with this stick, it is very close to the original, and perfect as a brunch/Lunch stick. It's a little bit like Rocky Patel and Torano came together and made a very yummy Medium stick. And for this price, how can you not love it?
Very well-made cigar (torpedo). Cuts cleanly, no unraveling, beautiful wrapper. Smooth taste. Not overly packed or loosely filled. A real treat. Save yourself some bucks and try this very nice example.
These are a really pleasing cigar. I'd give them four stars.
Love montes, haven't had one in awhile so I was intrigued and bought a bundle of robustos, just had one and I'm pretty suprised. Flavor profile extremely similar to the original MCs, alebit a bit harsher. The smoke was a bit thinner and harsher (by no means a harsh smoke) - however that's to be expected. Burned pretty quickly though. Very nice draw, but I doubt consistency wise they will all be like the one I had. Gonna have to buy a real stick to compare side by side one day, but pretty impressed.
Good smoke for the price. Well constructed. I will buy again.
Today I received the Montecristo Knockoffs in the Churchill size. I was amazed. I could not tell the difference from the real thing. The consistency, easy draw, taste, and true flavor is that of the real MC. In the past I could only smoke one on special occasions because of the $11.00 cost per stick. Now this will be my every day premium smoke at about $2.00 per stick. I can have the best and save a ton of money. Thanks for bringing this great deal to us.
