Bruce Lee meets cigar…
At CI we like to have fun. From office jokes to testing out products, we do it all. But when the intern started swinging these around like a buffoon, I gave him a quick thump on the head and a stern lecture. After relinquishing him of his ‘weapon’, I was finally able to sample the new cigar from La Jugada: Nunchuck. And as much as I wanted to pass this off as a novelty, it pleasantly took me by surprise.
Nunchuck all starts with a bold Habano Oscuro wrapper that’s thick, dark, and boasting ample oils. A quick sniff of the foot reveals a strong aroma of aged Nicaraguan long-leaf ligeros. Heavy in the hand, it’s immediately evident this sucker is chock full of potent tobaccos. A quick snip and a light on my part, revealed exactly what I expected…a full-bodied profile rife with feisty nuances. Robust, chewy smoke greeted my palate as a strong presence of pepper was backed by earthy undertones and dashes of spice. Frankly, it’s exactly as advertised. Strong. Flavorful. Tasty. The only downside? It’s a limited edition run with only 1,000 boxes being made.
Note: the box contains 5 Nunchuck cigars with each Nunchuck representing two cigars. Simply cut the long, connecting pigtail cap to give you 10 cigars in total.
