An anniversary to remember.
Griffin’s has released the second installment of The Griffin’s Anniversary Edition Club 2014 Series II. This series is an annual release that made its debut in 2013 to commemorate where the Griffin’s brand came from. Its roots lay in a club started in 1964 that hails from Geneva, Switzerland. The brainchild of Bernard Grobet, it only took the company 20 years to release their first cigar, and in 1984 the Griffin’s cigar brand was born. This year’s release is a special one indeed, and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Griffin’s Club, and the 30th anniversary of the Griffin’s cigar brand.
For such a special occasion, only the best blend would do, and that’s why this one is such a show-stopper. Adorned with a hybrid Cuban-seed wrapper called Habano 2000, this beauty has aesthetics to spare. The Griffin’s Anniversary Edition Club 2014 Series II is in a class all its own with a Sumatra binder and a mixture of perfectly aged Dominican long-fillers from San Vicente and Olor along with Criollo ligero. Pepper, leather, and an unmistakable sweet-spiciness all make appearances here. But you better not wait – with only 500 boxes allocated to the U.S., this is one blend you’re going to want to snatch up the first chance you get.
