El Reloj

Watch out – here it comes.

Old world allure meets new world sensibilities with El Reloj, a name that literally translates to “the watch.” This blend is a tribute to the Clock Tower that once kept time in historic Cigar City, in Florida. It’s also a nod to local lore – the townspeople claim that the original clock in the town’s center held magical wishing properties. Whether that’s true or not is yet to be seen, but one thing is undisputable, and that’s the righteousness of the cigar.

It all begins with an expertly selected combination of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Honduran fillers, topped off with a visually appealing Ecuadorian Havana seed wrapper. It’s medium in body and boasts sweet notes of earth, tobacco, pepper, and an even burn that’s reliably consistent. Call it magic or call it luck, but this handmade is a bona fide success story.

"Write a testimonial" it says above this box. Most CI reviews are just that. Wow! I scored these in a sampler and after resting in my humi they were amazing. I am reordering, telling my friends and Thank You CI! How tiresome. I won a five pack on CigarBid. I won't tell you for how much because I am embarrassed. Nobody bid on them. Whoever heard of El Reloj? Internet says these are a J.C. Newman brand made by Diamond Crown. Pretty good pedigree. Only comes in an eight inch monster. I cut it in half for my walk. I will be damned, it was a good cigar. Ingratiating taste, a bit of spice, a little citrus in the back of the mouth. What it wasn't was a me-too Dominican, indistinguishable from a million other crap cigars. Nice draw and burn. I normally do not walk and smoke with the same stogie two nights in a row. I am paying homage to El Reloj by finishing it tonight, and actually looking forward to it. I am a verified purchaser. Thank You CI!
