Romeo's first Nicaraguan puro is here.
Legendary brand Romeo y Julieta has been putting out some darker, spicier blends lately, and I have to say I’m a fan. In this instance, a densely packed core of 2010 Nicaraguan long-fillers are cradled inside a double binder with both Nicaraguan Jalapa and Esteli represented. The icing on top is the Nicaraguan Corojo Jalapa wrapper. The tobacco leaves, which were grown exclusively for RyJ, are flavorful and deliver complex notes of pepper, espresso, and earth that add to the overall experience. This full-bodied treat is truly a beauty. It’s a long and spicy road....so go ahead and take a journey with one hell of a Nicaraguan puro.
Romeo y Julieta RyJ received a well-deserved 91-rating noting: "A Profound raisin bouquet emanates from the unlit foot of this cigar. The raisin sweetness recurs in the smoke, along with dried cherries, chocolate and earth."
