Puros Indios Reserva Maxima 2003 Sale

Tasty, patiently aged morsels.

Reserva Maxima from Puros Indios is a very special blend, one created to celebrate Rolando Reyes Sr. and his 70 years in the business. Comprised of a smooth, complex blend of long-leaf tobaccos originating from Brazil, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, wrapped in a lovely Ecuador wrapper. These puppies are a special edition called "Anejado 2003," consisting of cigars rolled back in '03 and boasting five additional years of box aging. Don’t hesitate on this because it’s a no-brainer.

In fact, look closely at this’s outrageous.

You want the other one
Not nearly as good as the regular 'Puros Indios' cigar. I actually bought these thinking it was those; my mistake. Kept coming back to them every few months to see if they would develop into what I was expecting, just didn't happen. While they did taste better after a few months, they just barely have that Puros Indios taste that I was looking for. I'm not surprised to see that these are cheaper. Do yourself a favor, forget about these and just get the regular Puros Indios cigar. They are worth the extra.

Good smoke for the buck.
Great cigar for your money. Smokes well. Hard to find in stock.

Not as good as the Viejo
The first couple of sticks were not pleasant - very pungent and bitter. I let them sit in my humidor for a few months before going back to them, and the extra aging has seemed to help. In the future, I'll stick with the Viejo.

So sad to see you go
Its to bad these are no longer available. Outstanding price to value ratio here with a flavor that is delightful (I had the Maduros). Hopefully they will come out with something similar.

The Mysterious Puriios Indios Maxima
There is just something about this cigar that keeps me coming back for more. Usually a good burn and predictable draw. The flavor is what keeps you guessing. Goes from normal, every day quality to top shelf throughout the smoke. I have never smoked anything quite like it. Truly a pleasure to puff! Make sure you get the Maxima 2003 - I've tried the other Puriios offerings and they do not come close to this one.

Perfect everyday smoke.
I've been ordering these for a while now. This is a perfect everyday smoke. The discription says it all on the website. I've found them to be buttery as well. At the price, how could you not try them?

These inexpensive cigars have not produced one bad draw or bad burn. I can't say enough for these Puros Indios, and hope you will continue to stock them. Thanx, Norv

son and I split 80 cigar order. a few robusto's and half the torpedo's have been almost rotten tasting. Almost like sweet tea in the summer time that has been in the pitcher too long, a sour taste. The first time I have ever had a problem with Cigar International. The great rate was not that great. I will stay with the brands I know.

About what you'd expect at this price
This stick is about the quality you'd expect from this priceline it's offered. The flavor complexity was fairly pedestrian and the construction has been hit and miss.

Great cigar at end of the line!!
I've been smoking these great cigars for the past 4 years and they seem to be all but exhausted, Nice full flavored medium blend with no harsh notes. I'll need to find a new favorite, when they run out.

Outstanding value!
I recently purchased a bundle of Puros Indios Reserva Maxima 2003 and was overjoyed with the results. Not only was it economically sound, but also a tasty smoke. I've been smoking cigars since the late 1990s and have had some real clunkers; however, this is not one of them. They have good flavor, easy draw, and an even burn. I highly recommend purchasing these.

Puros Indios
This is my best house cigar for an everyday cigar I have bought. It has never let me down. Even better when they go on special. I highly recommend them.

This batch was a little bland, but still an outstanding smoke for the $$$

Great cigars
Have always loved Puros Indios cigars.

Poor burn and lacks anything resembling the taste of a cigar. Strong ammonia like taste and smell when smoked. Left a strong smell in the humidor after only 12 hours and had to be removed. Would have returned but I removed them from the cellophane before placing in the humidor.

Get What You Pay For
OK Sticks for the money. Draw is too easy for my preference, but figured a 2003 Maduro might be a better roll. Great everyday stick, but my beer usually lasts longer than cigar. A good cigar given the price I paid.

I enjoy these cigars. I order them on a regular basis and would like to order more soon. They are mild smoke that you can put in your every day or every other day rotation.

Very well made and tasty cigar that burned good and slow.

Nice stick.
Does it hold its own against any RP? No, but for the money it's not bad. Not bad at all. A great every day stick while mowing, pushing stuff around with the tractor or on the golf course. I like them.

One fine cigar
This cigar burns great, puts out volumes of smoke, holds the ash well and tastes great. Profile is close to a nice cuban, smooth but medium strength. This baby is outstanding. Bought 40, these are going

Nutty, cocoa nibs and espresso.
These are amazing sticks, rich robust sticks that are leathery, spicy and full of zest.

Way better than expected
Exceeded my expectations in every category. A solid performer and great value price wise. The three country filler combined with the Maduro wrapper makes for a very unique and pleasing flavor. Burns even with tons of smoke due to a perfect draw. SALUTE!

It's a shame this maker is going out of business
Every time CI puts Indios Puros in their specials emails, I grab a bundle. Heard recently that they're going out of business. Consistent quality and flavor in a nice variety of sizes. What can we do to get them to reconsider?

One of my favorites
I have tried many different cigars from CI and found the Puros Indios Reserva Maxima to be at the top of the list. I find it to be a smooth, flavorful, medium bodied cigar.

Great smoke
Definitely a great smoke. One of my favorites in my humidor.

Wrong side cigar In the bundle
One of the bundles were not a Robusto size, they were thin like a corona or petit corona. You could even tell because the bundle was smaller than the others. Smoking them anyways just not happy

Nice stogie
I've gone through dozens of bundles of these cigars and their near cousins in the past five years. They are my go to, every day smoke. No, they are not super premiums, but they are nice, consistent cigars. In all of the bundles, and boxes some years back, I have had only one cigar that just would not draw. Just one. I'm a rancher and tend to stick stick a cigar in mouth while working and not take it our until it is about an inch long. They hold together very well, although they do tend towards the soft side; my only complaint. I prefer the Maduro wrapper but won't gripe if they aren't available. If you are looking for an affordable, medium-mild cigar for everyday lawn mowing and giving away without being seen as a cheapskate, these may well be the answer to your prayers. Given their price, you can easily try some out.

Customer Testimonials
I just smoked this stick. Let me tell you it's a great smoke. Very rich flavor and great from first light to the stump. If you want a great smoke and don't want to break the bank please try. I have smoked some great premium cigars and this holds its own with them.
An old standby. I love all Puros Indios. Great cigars for cheap money. Where else can you get this kind of aging for nothing? Priceless.
This is my "go-to" daily smoke. It has never disappointed, and is a blast from the past. I first experienced this brand in the early 90's, and these are just as I remembered. The draw is easy, the burn line consistent and the ash remains white and firm with just a little bit of noticeable tooth. I would say buy some now, but then they might be sold out when I want them!
Extremely inconsistent cigar. I've smoked about a dozen. When you get a good one they are great, truly, but you might have to try several before you get one.... Kind of like women!
I am a fan of all of Rolando Reyes' cigars. They are earthy and favorable and give off lots of fragrant smoke. I like his Cuba Aliados brand, but this one is almost as good and the price is a lot less. At less than 2 bucks a cigar, they are great bargain!
Mild - Not always an even burn, but not bad for the price.
These have great flavor. Reyes Senior must be proud! Another great find at prices I can afford. Thanks again C.I.!
OK, I couldn't wait and tried one of these straight off the truck. Gotta say it was better than expected. I can't wait until they age a little and see if they could improve any more.
I've been buying the Toro Maduros for a couple of months now & they've been great smokes for the money. I've always loved Puros Indios sticks & am always excited when they go on sale. They've been my go-to daily smoke this entire time. I have one or two whenever I'm doing yardwork, etc., or more recently, scraping, sanding & glazing exterior windows before our next good ol' Buffalo winter. Because of that I don't usually just get to smoke the whole stick all at once. Weird thing about that, last month I bought a bundle of the Robustos because the temperatures were getting cooler. Since I only smoke outside, in the winter I switch to a shorter stick for the sake of personal comfort. I was really surprised that they were not as smooth as the Toros. They did not burn as evenly and if you did not smoke the entire stick at one time, they were really brutal upon relighting. Other than that aberration, these are really nice smokes. I'll hate to see them go off sale. I recommend them very highly.
A very nice everyday smoke at a great price. I will be buying more of these.
I'm a big fan of the Puros Viejo and could never understand the negative reviews of Rolando's cigars. Like loose roll, uneven burn, inconsistent quality...These, unfortunately, have given me some insight. I'll jump on Viejos if/when available but probably won't buy these again.
This is one of my favorite daily smokes. Smooth all the way to the nub. The description they provide says it all. I tried these a couple months ago and have purchased three boxes since. You won't be disappointed.
Like the thicker ring gauge in the series, natural wrappers. Easy draw, stays evenly lit and the flavor lasts through the whole stick. Can't beat it for the price. I am sold.
I got these as a humidor filler cause they were cheap, and the indios puros were rated 90 ish in aficianado, so i figured all give these cut heads a try, not expecting much, but what a suprize. The construction looks a little rough but holy cow what a draw what a burn and the smooth creamy taste.... im gonna order more i hope they stay at this price for a while.
Well constructed, great taste and good draw, what's not to like?
Best anytime smoke. Put them down for a 30 days nap. Came out perfect. Nice draw, tons of smoke, and the flavors continue to build from light to finish. A $10 smoke at a wonderful price. My friends are all buying them now as well. What better review then that!
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Another Gem!!!!!!
Love these suckers...not the darkest Maduros I have ever had but tasty as all heck. For the price you can beat them...I love the Puros they make too and this is another big hit from Indios cigars! Lots of deep sweetness and spices, good draw and even burn...a bit on the moist side right out of the package so no need to age them more. Try these puppies you won't be let down!
picked up a second box of these the other day at the retail superstore (bethlehem). they had 20 ct maduro media corona boxes for 25$. not bundles, boxes...for 25$ lol. for 25 a box i felt like i would insult a brand that i reasonably like if i DIDN'T buy it! both the natural and maduro are fairly mild smokes, with decent flavor. very earthy cigars with spice picking up in the second half. not the greatest looking cigars but they're a good morning smoke for me.
