Pirate's Gold Sale

Tasty....affordable...pirate themed....check, check, and CHECK.

After a short hiatus, the classic, top-selling Pirate’s Gold returns. And this legendary handmade is burning better than ever thanks to more (better) size options and the same great blend and quality you’ve grown to love over the last couple of decades.

Pirate's Gold was blended by Rolando Reyes, Sr. and crafted in the Puros Indios factory….and this affordable handmade compares favorably to much pricier brands. These densely-packed Honduran handmades boast a complex recipe of aged Dominican, Brazilian, and Nicaraguan long-fillers inside your choice of Ecuador or Maduro wrappers. The smoke is medium in body but full in flavor, dishing out tasty layers of earth, coffee, pepper, and spice throughout its slow burn. Quality normally reserved for $8 cigars, yours for less than $2 apiece. A downright steal.

Rolando Reyes Sr is a Genius
I have enjoyed these cigars for years now and will continue to do so as long as they are available. Will on occasion get a cigar that does not draw well but they are rare. They are not Padron or Camacho but for value they are outstanding.

Decent cigar at a good value!
while not my favorite by a long shot, Pirate's Gold is a good cigar and the price is right. Perfect as a casual cigar for outdoor smoking.

Wrapped To Squeeze
I found that they were wrapped very tightly. Far too often they would not hold their burn. A fuller bodied cigar, it was nice for the short time they lasted. I like to allow my cigar to rest for a few moments between puffs, but with these, any attempt at rest would snuff them right out.

Great price, great smoke.
This cigar is a great everyday cigar. Consistent from first one to the last with just enough flavor to keep you interested.

Perfect name
Pirates Gold in all its shapes is a steal! Full-flavored without being too strong, it's a great cigar to relax with. Good right down to the nub.

Customer Testimonials
Glad to see this nice cheap cigar back, especially the maduro. Once u get past the funky name they are pretty good....
Really? These have been around awhile and no reviews yet? Here's what I think needs to be said. I got one of these in a Brown Bag Sampler awhile back and decided it wouldn't be anything special as I sorted through the assortment of stogies I received. When the day came to actually smoke the thing was I surprised! I don't know about 'mild-medium' strength but it had plenty of flavor for someone who prefers a stronger taste in cigars like me. And such tasty flavor. I got numerous very nice cigars in that sampler but this one was the winner for me. I'm ordering a bundle as I write this.
I was looking for a less expensive everyday smoke when I ran across these beauties and red the write up. I decided to take a flyer and order a bundle. Let me tell you, it won't be my last. These are a mild to medium well made cigar. So far the burn has been even and holds a nice ash. The flavor starts out mild but the last half develops a hint of spice that is very enjoyable. I would compare it to a poor man's Nat Sherman HS. I recommend ordering a bundle.
Pirate's Gold is one good smoking cigar. Taste good, slow burning, I am really impressed with this cigar.
Beyond what others have said, these tasty cigars have a long finish, a very long finish. The cigar leaves a very pleasing reminder on your palate for hours after smoking. one both more mellow, and more complex than the smoke itself. Personally, it's one of the reasons to like pirates gold. Smoke one after lunch and enjoy it all afternoon.
The Price is right. I've bought many bundles and never had a bad one. You can easily spend ten bucks and not get better! They have all been well made and are a consistent smoke. Also it has a pirate on the label.
Got my first one because someone had a baby. I hadn't had a cigar in years and had the cigar with some brandy. I was hooked. Been smoking these for years now (Maduro). I usually have them in a humidor for months as I smoke my way through a bundle. I've since branched out to other cigars, but Pirate's Gold is still an excellent slow smoke for the money.
For the money, you can't go wrong. Give them a try.
Off the truck, the lanceros burned razor sharp. Great aroma. Leathery taste, peppery first third. Minor bitterness started to occur half way. I would slow down and it would go away, but in the last third it was noticeable. I think a few months in the humi or more will triple the enjoyment I get out of this one. I will happily smoke some before that when I fish or watch some HBO shows in the garage though. It is a good cigar I will rebuy. Construction was fantastic. Smoked it for an hour before I called it quits; could've lasted another 15-20 minutes.
