Gurkha 125th Anniversary Special Edition

Over-the-top never looked so good.

Gurkha 125th Anniversary Special Edition, a 92-rated gem, pulled out all the stops to celebrate this milestone event. Yes, it received the prestigious Golden Label Award for printing, design, and execution of a cigar band. Yes, this super premium utilizes some of the most exquisite and rare tobacco leaves in the universe. Yes, it’s a damn good cigar.

But let’s move on to the good stuff. Gurkha 125th Anniversary Edition features a complex blend of premium top-secret long-leaf fillers. But what makes this release so buzz-worthy is the fact that there are 3 wrapper leaf varieties. Your option of a Honduran Corojo, Ecuadorian Connecticut, or Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro allows you to experience a medium-bodied gem thats customized to your taste. It’s all housed inside a gorgeous hand-carved mango wood box with solid brass hardware that was designed by Gurkha Chairman Kaizad Hansotia himself. Happy anniversary, indeed.

Corojo: A toro that yields notes of leather and spice with a touch of earthiness and cedar.

Connecticut: Smooth and creamy, this beast includes slight vanilla undertones.

Maduro: This behemoth has rich flavorful cocoa tones with a touch of sweetness.

My buddy gave me one of these. Decent smell, strong cedar taste with good spices and cocoa, good construction. I have had much better for much cheaper, but these were ok. For the price, just go pick up one of their East India Trading Company boxes. Now those are gems.

Excellent cigar but expensive. Afterall, every cigar goes up in smoke. I love the Gurkha line of cigars. One of my favorites is the Wicked Indies. It taste great and very affordable in price.
