torano colosseum robusto
Bought a box and was pleased by the aroma of the cigars. Wonderful. They showed up a bit on the wet side. Some curling, many relights. A week outside the humidor may help. Overall, a quality smoke, I am still very happy with the purchase.

Torano Colosseum
Nice dark and oily appearance with an Excellent full bodied flavor down to the end. Long fillers provide a nice ash. Definitely recommend.

Top notch cigar to smoke with a glass of Porter
One of Toranos best. Nutty notes and smooth coffee draw with an amazing sweet finish. Pair this one up with a glass of Tadcaster Porter and your temporarily in heaven.

Not bad at all.
I have a bundle in my humidor right now and everyone so far has smoked without any issues, if your looking for a good every day cigar I would say this could be the one.

Torano Colosseum Robusto
I have only smoked two to date but do find the cigar a little on the delicate side as I prefer a bolder taste.

Hail Caesar!
Carlos Torano makes some great sticks and the Colosseum is worthy of Spartacus homself. It's flavorful with a price that won't make you feel like you've been fed to the lions. They aren't as full bodied as the Hogshead series and that's okay. They are a great anytime smoke. I'll be coming back for more.

Great Value! make sure it's moist!
Great value cigar! make sure it's humidified though... it makes a big difference. It's almost sweet after it passes the half point.

good flavor, great value, doesn't burn evenly.
great value, a good golf cigar - where you are not 100% focused on the cigar. doesn't burn evenly, but has flavor.

Good Budget Cigar
Good flavorful cigar at a low price. I tried the Robusto and Churchill and prefer the Robusto.

re mi
Torano used to have a great line of cigars. Since being sold to General cigars the quality of the Torano cigars have gone to a mediocre one. The construction and flavors have been changed for the worse. Shame on Torano and General cigars.

Toraño Colosseum
Very good composition and structure with a truly incredible aroma and flavors!

These do require occasional relighting but the flavor is so intense that I would rub 2 sticks together if no other flame were available.

Torano Should Be Ashamed To Put Their Name On This One!
I am a big Torano fan and for the price I decided this was worth a shot. This cigar is awful. They go out constantly. It taste half decent when you can get anything out of it but not worth the effort. I have smoked about 10 and I am pretty sure I am going to trash the rest. They are just not worth the effort, not even for a golf course type of cigar. Spend your money on something else.

Great Smoke for the $$$
Great daily smoke for the money. Good flavor and an ok burn. Big fan of the full flavor and this does not disappoint.

Thanx C.I.
Attitudes should not count on reviews, I'm not trying to be rude, but some would give a bad review just to see their name by review, This Cigar is one of my Fav's, it's simply delish, I wish tgey would sell it for what I use to pay for it, but Ce La Vie, or I think some people just lost their taste bud or it broke, This is a great tasting cigar, Merry Christmas, , ,

The jury is still out with me.
I really enjoyed the first cigar of the 20 bundle; my first Torano. The look was great, enjoyed the full taste and it burned well. My second cigar was frustrating to say the least. The draw was poor and I couldn't keep it lit without constant smoking. I do like / expect some level of consistency, so we will see.

Torano Colosseum
I just ordered these on special. Great price. Poor Cigar. I was not happy with the taste or the burn. Uneven burn and unraveling. Taste like bland wax.

The Batch of these cigars were not to my likeing - But - CI's custmer service is Superb .......
I have smoke many of Torano's great cigars in the past 2 years ( including the Colosseum Gordo) and never had any issues until this shipment of 2 bundles of Gordo's. This cigar flakes ash like snow, has a tough draw, needs constant relighting and burns unevenly ( Canoeing and tubing ) .It has not a taste that is pleasing to me. Very unfortunate it was Quite disappointing. I must say though, Customer service sent me a return prepaid label and the unopened bundle was returned for credit a couple of days later. I don't blame CI for the batch problem - if any thing CI's prompt customer service has convinced me to use them as my exclusive online means of purchasing cigars. Thank You CI
Customer Testimonials
I just got these in today and right out of the bag I noticed the draw was tight. The flavor was smooth, the construction is done well with a few veins. So far a good smoke, just a little too tight of a draw for my taste.
My experience with this cigar has not been positive. I bought a 5 pack and so far the two I smoked were squishy and loosely packed, with a terrible burn. They look and taste good, but the burn was awful....
“I bought the "Legal Limit 18-Cigar Sampler III" wanting to expand my pallet into the Full strength cigars and thought I'd write a review from a novice's point of view. I found the 'Colosseum' lightly spiced with a smooth robust flavor. It will be a regular in my humidor.
Of the 20 ct bundle I received, most were an enjoyable smoke. Good flavor, even burn, etc. I'm not through all of them yet, but I've had 3 that the wrapper wouldn't burn and I'd be an inch or so into the filler farther than the wrapper. Could also be the binder. Makes for some frustration in the experience.
I am not a big Torano fan, but thought I would give these a try. The Good: Great looks...lots of bellowing smoke...decent draw The Bad: Ash was very flaky...could not keep it lit. Several relights required. I have only burned one, so will let the other rest in the humi for awhile and hope they improve.
This cigar deserves a third review. Every time I light one of these babies up it's like the first time, great experience. In my opinion it is one of the best cigars on the market. It is definitely the best cigar in the Torano lineup. From the construction to the last puff it is an excellent cigar. It ranks right up there with the Gurkhas and other high point cigars. It's a winner in my humidor. Hell! I can't enjoy the other cigars because I'm stuck on this Torano Colosseum. Wow! My bad! I already have three boxes. I done lost my mind. I might need to do some tabletop dancing for this one(just kiddin)!
....It has now been in my humidor for a month and still no improvement. Impossible to keep lit, burns unevenly, and flakes ash like snow flakes. The only positive is that it has a pleasant aroma....
Must have gotten a bad batch. This cigar flakes ash like snow, has a tough draw, needs constant relighting and burns unevenly. Its tastes sharp and unpleasant and the aroma is forgettable. Quite disappointing!
Great cigar from beginning to end. One of my new favorites. Just loaded up the humidor for the summer and of course added these..
Nice looking cigar, but like one other reviewer, I did not get the tastes expected. Stayed one dimensional throughout the smoke. Can't really say what the taste is. I also disagree with the med-full designation. To me this is on the mild side of medium. I'm going to leave these in the humi for a few more months to see if they improve. If they stay the same, won't be buying in the future.
The presentation of the labels is beautiful too.
Delicious and sweet. This is a great cigar with hints of peppery and caramel. Bellows of thick smoke this cigar is chewy and made to perfection. I love it!
I just bought bundle of these, in the Gordo size. I am a big fan of Torano cigars. This cigar looks really nice, burns evenly, and the ash is perfect. This cigar has some faint pepper spicy taste to it in the beginning, that stays the same thru the whole smoke. It gives off wonderful volumes of smoke, but no flavor! How do you make a flavorless cigar? An empty cigar. How do they do that?
A friend and I both tried these (6x60) over the weekend and had similar experiences. We both agree this is by no means a medium-full. It's a medium, at best. The initial light gives a light spicy taste, mostly from the direct contact with the wrapper and not the smoke. The blend itself is rather bland up front and more of the flavor comes from the after tastes on the palate, mostly wood and some nutty notes. The first 2/3 of the stick were very one dimensional. After his cracked I chose to let mine rest until it went out then did a purge/relight. This provided the most flavor the cigar had at any point and revived some of the spice flavors which again subsided after a few draws. Overall, not a bad cigar if you enjoy medium bodied smokes. If you prefer stronger blends, avoid this one.
Okay, so I wasn't bright enough in my previous post to notice that these fine smokes ARE listed in the Big List under CARLOS Torano. Nonetheless, my opinion is unchanged and I am ordering more of these tasty bad boys right now while they are on sale.
I got a couple of these in sampler and had low expectations because Toraños aren't listed among the CI Big List. So, the robusto I tried today had been resting in my humi a while. What a surprise! Lotsa sweet smoke, easy draw and all kinds of flavor from nuts and caramel to chocolate and pepper. Smooth, easy draw all the way. At less than 4 bucks a stick this a quality smoke anyone can enjoy.
What a great Smoke! perfect burn for a gordo, very smooth sweet notes of caramel, coffee and tobacco with a long soft finish. Absolutely delicious. definitely a new favorite! well done Torano
First time trying this cigar. It was a little tightly packed and hard to draw until it warmed up. The appearance is very nice. What surprised me was the aromatic odor of the smoke. It was a little sweet and very pleasant. Almost as nice as pipe smoke. I'm going to buy more. The taste had a hint of spice - almost like that cranberry Christmas candle your wife buys. Then it smoothed out with a hint of caramel. Good smoke for the money. Highly recommend.
