Nicaraguan Gordo 2nds

Don't 'snub' these handmades....

Whoa, baby. These bulbous and stout suckers are the definition of large and in charge. Crafted by one of the hottest manufacturers in Nicaragua, these cigars are legit across the board. Hell, most of 'em I can't find a damn thing wrong with. Top-notch wrappers join forces with premium long-fillers for an experience as worthy as their banded brethren. I ain't complain' either because I can't stop puffin' on one after another. Sorry, I can't spill the beans on which brand or blend they are, but honestly, just give these a good once over and the dots should begin connecting quite easily. And whichever one gets your juices flowin', you can expect a rich, slow-burning experience for a fraction of normal retails. Don't delay, I expect these to move faster than the salad bar at a vegan convention.

Short little dudes, had 10
Short little dudes, had 10 minute smoke until I stuck end into a pipe and got another 5 to 10 minutes. Not a great tasting cigar, price was good though.

Everyday smoke for Nub enthusiasts
I have been a Nub fan since my first smoke so the plug for these Gordo 2's caught my eye. Preferring the rich smoothness of the habano variant, these were my trial for the Gordo 2s. I couldn't believe how good these "seconds" were! With their price point and quality, these will be a regular purchase.

Awesome smoke
Incredibly great smoke. As close you can get to a Nub. Buy it.

Seconds are best values
These particular cigs are no seconds in taste. I’d buy these in full length, 6 inch taste busters, but haven’t seen any of those yet.

Loving these gordo 2nds
I love a fat smoke. Nub is one of my faves. But these gordo 2nds are tasty, but at a much lower price. If you're a volume smoker looking for a great value, these are perfect!

Cameroon or Habano excellent deal
Since the "NUB" was introduced I have liked them all. Of course I have a preference. Always looking for a deal I would wait for a special or bid the auctions to get a better deal. But wait no longer. Seconds my posterior. You have to look to find the blemish. These are one of the best values, period. A great 45 minutes smoke for anywhere anytime. If I cant finish it as I would like, it doesn't hurt to stub it out. For less than half the cost of it's 1st's I can just lite up another later on. If you have not tried the NUB get a sampler select your favorite wrappers and return for a great savings. Thanks CI for an outstanding deal.

Good smoke for the price
exactly what you would expect from a "factory second". Good taste, imperfect wrapper and a moderate to fast burn.

Gordo 2nds - great value
Really great cigar value. A few in the bundle may have a slight color change, or other wrapper imperfection, but these are the perfect daily smokes. Great burn and flavor that you would expect from a great Nicaraguan cigar.

Excellent smoke!
Smooth and flawless. I already ordered more. These will be a staple in my humidor.

Good taste, good burn
These cigars have a good taste and they burn pretty evenly. I probably won't order them again because the ring size is bigger than I prefer.

Smooth shorty
Hints of pepper is the 1st thing you get here. It a smooth smoke nothing harsh about it at all.

Good but.....
I have only smoked a few to date. The flavor is good but the wrappers keep splitting early on in the smoke.

Great Smoke!
I ordered these quite a few times and they are truly worth the price. For a "second" they are very much like those that made the grade - in flavor and construction!

Very good smoke for a great price!
These have turned out to be one of my favorite smokes, especially for the price! First bundle I got was the habano 64 torpedoes, and they were excellent! Most of them had a nice wide open draw, even when I didn't cut much off of the torpedo tip. I also tried the Cameroon and Connecticut wrappers, Cameroon was good but the Connecticut was amazing. I'm not sure which one I like better between the habano and the Connecticut as of right now, gotta go smoke some more to find out. They just had a great deal on these, so I got the maduro and sungrown wrappers to try out. Good thing I did because now the sungrown is out of stock (September 2015). I read that the sungrown was an extension of the habano wrapper, possibly a bit more full body, so I bet it's going to be really good too!

Good Smoke
Got these today, busted one off and like to have fail out of my chair. These seconds are REALLY REALLY good. A short smoke but a good one.

Good cigar, great price!
You know what these are. Hard to believe they’re 2nds. Smooth smoke and a great draw. Will definately purchase again.

C-I always my first choice
When looking for cigars I always check C-I first. The 66 Cameroons were the perfect choice for that 45 minute drive...

Gordo Flavor!
Great everyday smoke! Can't beat this for the price compared to other big ring cigars. A quarter the price of nub with lots of flavor and smooth burn.

Always been a big fan of Nubs. This hit the spot for a fraction of the price. Already looking to buy some more. Side note- couldn't figure out for the life of me what made them 2nds.

Great Value
Good everyday smoke.

A very good smoke
The leather and some spice was really enjoyable. Lots of smoke and an even burn ensure the cigar is less trouble and more relaxing. This smoke goes well (for me) with a sour mash whiskey, or a stout dark beer. For the cost this is a really good bang for the buck.

DO NOT MISS OUT ON THESE! Such a great buy on a premium cigar. You will burn these past the label (if they had one) until you fingers burn. Thanks CI for carrying these.

A good buy
I just started smoking cigars again so I took a chance on these. I couldn't be happier. They have a good smooth flavor, burn evenly and provide a nice relaxing smoke. Will I buy again, heck yeah. Should you buy some? No. Then I won't miss out on this great smoke!!!! I wish I more smoking experience to compare them to other cigars, but I don't. Maybe in a couple more months I can give some comparisons. Until then smoke on ...

My go 2
love these cigars. They smoke better than most non-2nds. Awesome deal for the price.

For the price it works
Tons of smoke and good draw. Kind of a quick burn which I wasn't expecting as Nubs burn longer. However for the price can't beat it. I would recommend for a smoker that likes immediate flavor and a hearty burn.

A Plus
terrific cigar for the $.

Don't Buy These
or there may not be any left for me!! Minus one star because they are 2nds and a few in every mazo are imperfect. Most are fine.

Great discounted premium cigars
All or very close to the full taste of their more costly "brothers" at a more affordable price. The only discrepancy I've noticed is sometimes the burn isn't even outside and inside the cigar. Other than that, a nice cigar.

Cheap daily smoke
good flavor and smoke for the price. Inconsistent wrapper quality and burn. Some were so hard to draw it was actually tiring to smoke, while others were ok.

Great cigar
Probably the best cigar I have ever smoked.
Customer Testimonials
These are awesome! Had 1 stinker so far; I let the others rest in my humidor for 6 weeks. Tasted and smoked just like the Oliva Nub maduro I paid twice as much for.
Great cigar for the price; will order again.
I am so glad I took a chance with these. I am placing my next order today. Great stuff!
Nice little smokes for the money! I was a little skeptical at first until I unwrapped one. Nice solid feel, good wrapper slightly darker than an EMS. Nice draw and burn. I don't tell anyone what they cost and they think its one of the top shelf brands. A good solid everyday cigar. I am ordering more after I send this review. As always thank you CI for another hidden gem.
Good everyday cigar, highly recommend.
If you are on the fence about ordering some of these fatties, well they are worth it. I tried the Habano plus and they were excellent. A medium to full smoke and the flavor profile is great. Get your hands on some of these!
Love these little guys! As authentic as you can get! If you like the NUB or Oliva Connecticut blends you will love these. I've bought at least 8 packs over the past year or so and they are great little short stories! Very well made.
FRIGGIN GORDOS ARE GREAT! Real smooth and earthy. Easy on the palate. Enjoyable to the last sixteenth of an inch. They get me to the bank and back with all the savings.
Seriously good cigars. Why pay extra just for a band with a name on it, when you could have these and save that $$ for something else? I could honestly be happy with a humidor full of these. Stock up while you can.
I would say a medium to full smoke. Great smoke! Woodsey, peppery with a hint of leather.
These babies are great. I fired one up as soon as I got them in my hands. Beautiful construction, solid in my hand. Cold draw was really good and some of the flavors came through. After lighting it had an even burn, great ash and great flavors presenting spice, cedar, coffee and a hint of sweetness. My second one, which was during my lunch break was just as delicious as the first. I will certainly be ordering these babies again.
Didn't notice how small they are until I got them, veritable Nubs. Taste disappointing too.
great cigar, especially for the that can stand up to a Nub and less than half the price! :-)
Bought 466 Habanos... seriously if these are 2nds would love to know why. Thanks CI hope these are always available to keep a stash in the humidor.
I need a second humidor just to buy more of these. Need I say more?
These fatty beauties are slow burning and full of flavor. I just put down my 3rd 66 ring habano fatty and I can't get enough. 9 out of 10 rating for me. You get absolute value for your buck!
These taste exactly like the 1st's and everyone should know which ones these are, based off the size description. Smoked two already and man I am glad I purchased a box of these. I will say that the wrapper on one was coming off during the smoke but again they are 2nds.
These make me want to take out a loan, and buy as many as I can, and build a giant humi to store them. You never know when they will run out.
Everyone should be able to figure out the name brand of these, if not look at the product description above and to the left. I bought 3 bundles, 1 Extra Fuerte habano and the 466 habano Gordo's, the extra "F" (hint-hint) was excellent ROTT, burned evenly, slowly copious amounts of smoke, woody, spicy and peppery through the nose, slight sweetness not harsh or rough, I would say a medium to full smoke, the 466 ROTT the wrapper started to fall apart but was a good smoke, after a week in the humi the next one was perfect, slight woodiness, lots of good tobacco flavors but on the mild side of a medium cigar, burnt evenly and slowly with lots of smoke, these are so good I ordered 3 more bundles of the extra fuerte, and hope to be able to get more when my supplies start to dwindle! at little over 2 bucks a piece??? NO-BRAINER!! versus 7 to 8 bucks?????
