Villiger Connecticut

A classic Connecticut for a buck.

Villiger has been crafting fine quality, affordably priced cigars since 1888. With ratings as high as 92 and prices as low as 99-cents each, they could be the best darn deal you haven’t tried yet. So what are you waiting for, then? Villiger Connecticut is a mild cigar made with a ‘Cuban Sandwich’ blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos and finished with a silky, lustrous Connecticut Shade wrapper. Treat your palate to a crisp, mellow profile with notes of cream, honey, pepper, and cedar. It’s deliciously smooth, and with these rock-bottom CI prices it can fill up your humi oh-so-nicely.

Decent taste, poor quality.
The Villiger has a decent taste, but is terrible quality. They are loosely wrapped and will fall apart during the smoke. Would not recommend.

I love these cigars. Mild and just a hint of sweetness. Good construction and even burning. I will be reordering these.

Solid Yard Work or Fishing GAR
Not a bad cigar for the $$ and certainly is reasonably priced. Good for mowing the yard or kicking around when you aren't too worried about losing your GAR in the middle of cutting done a tree or reeling in the big one...I've had far worse that cost far more. Always have a few of these in the humidor.....

One of my favs
Definitely one of my favorite sticks, a go-to for a close to the evening or a good burn after the gym. It's on the lower end of the price scale but don't let that deceive you; it's full of flavor and provides clouds of smoke! One of my top 3!

Great smoke
Bought a bundle, great cigar. Is mild from start to finish. The reason for the 4 star rating is , no matter how you cut it, it splits the wrapper. Will definitely buy again

Not the greatest cigar but a good value for a fast smoke
I have ordered and enjoyed a bundle or two of these sticks. Fairly even burn, easy draw, nice finish. I did notice several of the cigars unraveling half way through and most of the bands slipped off faster than a wedding ring in Vegas. For the price, a decent smoke.

My Villiger Connecticut Churchill cigars
My Villiger Connecticut Churchill cigars smoked well - they came to dried out and I had to aggressively humidify them before I could really enjoy them.

Too light and cigars were very dry when received

pretty good for the price
I bought these for a "quick hitter " cigar. They are pretty decent for the price. Also, the cigars that I have smoked so far are rolled a little tight so they draw a little hard, but otherwise I like them.

The Villiger cigas were dry and lousy. I managed to save and did smoke them. I WOULD not recommend them.

Disappointed in quality of tobacco, construction good, but not up to usual high quality filler.

Villiger Conneticut Churchill
This is a good cigar for a casual afternoon on the golf course, however was disappointed in the wrapper and they arrived QUITE dry. They definitely would have been a better experience had the wrapper been of higher quality and they would not have been so dry.

You get what you paid for + more!
For such a low price, these cigars are pretty good. I half expected a stale, bland cigar. Well actually, it did taste rather bland at first but after letting them sit in the humidor for a couple of weeks they were alright. Flavor starts off with a light grassy tone and smoothes about 1/3" after lighting up. Second half of the cigar tasted like fresh earth. I suppose one might call it clean dirt. Draw was good and most of the sticks had an even burn with about 1.5" ash. It's not the greatest quality cigar but for this low price, it's not a disappointment either. If you're on a low budget or need some smokes to giveaway, try these Villigers.

Fantastic everyday cigars. My father loves these for there mellow, but satisfying flavor. Best deal I have found for inexpensive every day cigars.

Just okay
The Villager Connecticut Toro is acceptable as an everyday smoke, especially considering the value price. It is mild, but not smooth. It does not burn evenly, as the inconsistent filler indicates. While mild, it is a bit rough. Does it really have a Connecticut shade wrapper? Well, you get what you pay for.

Not good
Worst cigars I've bought from CI. Harsh taste, wrappers peeled off while cutting and/or smoking. Would NEVER order them again...

great value
Good smoke, a little uneven burn. For a buck a stick tho it's a GREAT value and you can share these with buds!!

Fair Smoke
for the price, this is a perfect cigar for golf or for cutting the grass. Nice ash and even burn

Taste was pleasant on the good ones. Many of the cigars from the first bundle were not smokeable due to poor construction. Some burned up the filler like a chimney leaving a good looking hollow cigar. The price was attractive and I was not expecting perfection, but way too many throw aways to be any kind of value.

Customer Testimonials
Great smoke, especially for a buck. They stay lit in the golf cart in between trips to the greens. Nice even burn and mild flavor. Best 'gar for a buck that I have found.
In my search for decent economical sticks I tried these. I didnt care for the first one, somewhat bitter and tough draw. A few weeks in the humi and a big change. I've fired up a few more I have found I have to work it to get a good draw, but very smooth and decent mild taste. I actually like em. Overall, one of the better cheapies I've found in my quest. You wont feel bad if you can't finish it or your neighbors pop by when they see you on the porch...and give em out.
Pretty decent cigar but the $1 value makes it a great buy!
I'm sure there are better $1 sticks out there, but all-in-all these aren't bad. The draw is extremely tight but the flavor is nice and the burn is very even. Your cheeks my hurt but your wallet won't.
WOW! Really surprised... the flavor was right on! But the construction was worse than a machine roll and there were some short fillers in there, but when you want to burn a buck a stick these weren't bad. I recommend finding a good two-fer from CI rather than buy these, but I did really enjoy the flavor very smooth.
Surprisingly nice cigar. Even burns, no tunneling and stays lit like a machine-made cigar. No heft to it like a much more expensive cigar but still well-made and not too bad a taste but at this price I'm not complaining because IT IS smokeable to the end. Not like some other name cigars that cost waaay too much compared to what this one can do.
Have bought other $1.00 stcks but not much :( luck. These are the best so far. Perfect for the golf course and to hand out to my buddies. Burn is even and taste is smooth. Some of them were kinda soft?! but maybe I was trying to swing too hard? lol
Way better than machine made cigars of a similar size and price, but this is still a $1 cigar and your expectations should be adjusted accordingly. Fairly terrible taste and uneven burn on the first inch, and I almost gave up on it, but glad I stuck it out. The taste came back to a good profile for even a mid-priced Connecticut wrapped cigar and the burn straightened out. I mostly smoke under $3 dollar sticks from CI, and if you spend a bit more than the villiger costs you can get a much better cigar, but I feel this is still a good value. Keep some on hand for knocking around the garage or passing out to friends who always ask for "samples".
