Perdomo Reserve Champagne Sun Grown

Nick Perdomo spikes the Champagne.

It seems impossible to improve a masterpiece (Godfather 3 anyone....anyone?), but by George, Nick Perdomo done done it. This instant classic features the same intoxicating, all-Nicaraguan long-filler and binder combo as the original Champagne, but with an added twist – the Connecticut wrapper is deftly swapped in favor of a flavorful, forceful Nicaraguan Sungrown wrapper leaf for a bodacious boost of added flavor. Expect a richer, spicier, medium to full-bodied experience, equipped with Perdomo’s renowned commitment to quality and consistency. Bring home the delectable Champagne Sun Grown and celebrate the fine art of transformation.

Customer Reviews of “Perdomo Reserve Champagne Sun Grown”
Just got a box of these today, and WOW! This is a fantastic smoke. Got a little welcome nuttiness before you light it up and the most excellent spice once the flame hits it... it's not heavy handed, but it's not soft-handed either. It tingles on the palate and just reminds you: you're smoking a Perdomo. It quickly settles down into a really well-balanced smoke. I'm glad I've got 25 of these beauties. I hope they last the week!
I wasn't able to leave this 5 pack for any length of time so I lit one up upon arrival. This is an Unbelievable smoke. Well balanced, velvety smoke, peppery at the start razor sharp burn and beautiful aroma. A delicious smoke indeed. The only complaint I have is that it burns fairly fast. I will order a toro the next time to get fully satisfied. I must say Perdomo cigars are ALL GREAT. I have never been disappointed. Nick is a true master blender. Well done!

I tried one at Cigarfest and was very impressed. I ordered a box as soon as I could and the second was better than the first. Medium-bodied and full flavor. Perfect draw, billows of silky smooth smoke and a razor sharp burn until it burned my fingers. It never got hot. The flavors evolved and were very complex. Has become an instant classic and I will try to keep at least a box on hand at all times. The quality of anything with the Perdomo name is going to be unmatched but the flavors easily rival cigars at twice the price. A real bargain if you ask me. Another gem from Nick!

I can only say that this did not live up to the way it was described. However, I can't say that they were bad, I was just expecting something different.

Swapped an Oliva V Lancero and an RP Vintage 1990 with a cigar buddy for a 10th Anniv. Criollo and a Reserve SunGrown. The Criollo isn't made any more (a dirty rotten shame!). The SunGrown (Toro) had an effortless draw, spicy flavor, razor sharp burn and produced copious amounts of mouth smoke. And it burned slowly. No harshness whatsoever. Excellent smoke if you have the time to enjoy an hour and one half plus of pure smoking pleasure.
Spice is nice. Smoking a Corona and really taste the wrapper. Toned down about midway, mostly tobacco and earth now. Overpowered the scotch till it calmed down, now a very pleasant match. Still taste the spice, just in more proportion. Great burn and construction. Cool burn, with some nuttiness. Definitely a step up compared to the Champagne, excellent cigar, but my favorite remains the Noir.
