Crowned Heads Four Kicks

Sticking to their guns.

As people, we all adhere to normalcy. From what we eat and drink, to running around like mindless ants to get to where we're going. We're all victims of 'normal'. But at the end of the day, normal can get boring, fast. That's where cigar companies like Crowned Heads come into play. Influenced by the edgy, rebellious, and determined lyrics of the band, Kings of Leon, Crowned Heads goes against the programming of everyday handmades. Without further adieu, enter their first creation, Four Kicks cigars. Their motto is simple, yet loud and clear. Stick to who you are, stay loyal to those you care about, and never forget where you came from.

Crafted under the watchful eye of E.P. Carrillo in the Dominican, Four Kicks brings the substance in spades. At first glance, it's easy to think of this is as a powerhouse cigar. But a closer look reveals a medium-bodied cigar bursting with flavor. It all starts with a smooth, reddish-brown Ecuador Habano wrapper. This leaf is seamlessly applied to a core of Nicaraguan long-fillers hugged by a Nicaraguan binder. From the first puff, the senses are met with a wave of chewy, spicy-sweet flavors. Nuts, leather, and a steady dose of pepper join forces with creamy, cedary undertones. There's a lot going on, but one thing is for sure. It works, and works well. Complex, interesting, and one eye-catching handmade, this should be on your to try list.

Four Kicks already caught the eye of critics earning a 91-rating in the process, noting: "There is a significant earthy character to this smoke, balanced by a sweet and spicy component and a black pepper finish."

Flavorful & Affordable
One of my "go to" smokes. Great construction, even smoke. Medium-full flavor. Nice price. One fo Crowned Heads first smokes and still one of their best.

My Favorite Every Day Cigar
Four Kicks was the first Crowned Heads stick I ever tried. Perhaps overshadowed by the acclaim of some of their others - namely La Imperiosa and Jericho Hill - I must say that Four Kicks remains the one I come back to again and again. If I'm ever at a loss for what smoke I'm in the mood for, Four Kicks hit the right spot. I picked up a box last year, in December. The first few I smoked were solid, but I gotta say, these get better and better with age. With 9 months of rest in the humidor, these have gone from good to friggin excellent. Notes of cedar, nuttiness, leather with tons of smoke output. Perfect draw, perfect burn, with every one I've smoked.

Disappointed...
I was expecting a top notch smoke, but was dissatisfied with my experience. I had these resting for about a year in 70F/65%. Leather, tobacco with hints of sweetness and cedar with peppery finish. The flavors were intermittent, and the burn started to run almost off the bat. Did a correction about half way through, the burn continued at an angle for the rest of the cigar. The band was stuck to the wrapper and upon removal tore the wrapper. More cracks developed as the burn progressed to the area where the band was. Overall the profile was rather uneventful, flavors intermittent. From the reviews I read I was looking forward to these. I've smoke several over the past few months and my experience was similar. Even if heavily discounted I doubt I would buy these, there are much better options for the price point...
Customer Testimonials
Got a 5 pack and smoked one as soon as the UPS guy handed me the box , and was very happy, smooth, loads of smoke great flavor , i will be picking up a box or two soon.
Just finished my first Four Kicks. Started out incredibly smooth and creamy with cool smoke. Half way through it stayed smooth with small bits a pepper. Past the band it got very earthy and spicy. Very good smoke overall. I really enjoyed it. I had the Headley Grange earlier today and that was brilliant. Crowned Heads really has the right idea and is busting out awesome products!
I also got two of these in my cigar club shipment and it was great, it reminded me of H. Upmann 1844 Reserve.... a great stick for sure!!!
i just got my monthly club trail of cigars.i tried the four kicks after a day in my humi.i agree with the fisrt post on this cigar=EXXCELENT draw and taste,,stays cool to the very end.i will definitely try these again.i recommend these greatly.
Wow! I describe four kicks as a "new classic." Medium in body with an explosion of flavor and complexity from beginning to end. Heavy in the hand and stuffed with tobacco, yet the draw is excellent and cool down to the very end! Truly Cubanesque in every aspect! I don't see how one can enjoy cigars and not love Four Kicks! Definitely the cigar of the year!
