Villiger La Libertad Sale

A delicious premium handmade from Villiger.

La Libertad is a delicious, Dominican-made premium from Villiger. Utilizing an interesting makeup of select, Cuban-seed tobaccos, this medium to full-bodied handmade employs a Peruvian Habano wrapper and binder overtop a rich, aged blend of Dominican long-fillers. This combination promotes a spicy, robust profile that's loaded with notes of richness, earth, coffee, nutmeg, cedar, and honey. Delicious, with plenty of character, this high-quality handmade is well worth the modest suggested retail prices.

La Libertad received an outstanding 92-point rating from Cigar Aficionado, with the reviewers noting: "buttery smoke offers a flavorful balance of vanilla, toast and cedar intonations before a floral finish."

If you don't, I will.
I still can't believe how much I like these. I've smoked $10 cigars that weren't this good. All around winner.

Bargain Bin Beauty!
You would be very hard pressed to find a more affordable, better tasting $1.50 cigar anywhere! Forget the fancy boxes & put your money into good Dominican long fillers & an unusual Peruvian habano wrapper instead. What you get is a medium bodied, full flavored vitola that reeks of floral notes & lite spices, with an undercurrent of white pepper. Delicious! Good for the 1st cigar of the day with coffee or the last spleef of the day, when it is time to unwind. Highly recommended & deserving of high ratings. 89/100

Simple Smoke
Cigar is well constructed. White gray ash holds on for over an inch at a time. Flavors are very simple. Lots of tobacco flavors with a very faint hint of spice on the exhale. No cream, no chocolate, etc. If you like your cigars medium and don't want to have to think about it the La Libertad is for you.

Villiger La Libertad Robusto
I tried these because of the overwhelming percentage of favorable reviews. I was looking for a cigar that wouldn't bankrupt me, one that was full or medium-full and well reviewed but I NEVER expected the quality of cigar I got when I lit one of these babies up! They are GREAT! And I can afford them! I have thirty-six different varieties of cigars in my humidors, almost all of them a lot more expensive than the La Libertads but now, most of the time, I find myself actually preferring to reach for these red labeled delights.

Good stuff
Nice cigar as bargain names go. Rich taste that doesnt get harsh near the band. Some inconsistancies, but the good one are really good.

Villager La Libertad
This is a very nice tasting cigar. The construction is excellent. Tight ringed ash and real nice draw. Flavor throughout is consistent, doesn't really change from foot to nub, but very enjoyable. You'll be glad you bought a bundle at this price. Definitely worth more than its price tag. Price aside this cigar is up there with any bundled cigar. I highly recommend.

Probably the BEST you can find at this price....
I have found that a cigar costing three times as much is not necessarily 3 times as good, so I try a lot of "budget priced" cigars hoping to find a "best buy". I found that generally I find you get what you pay for. I have thrown away a lot of mistakes in this quest for the great cigar at a low price. I rate the Villiger La Libertad Robusto as great for the price, but not really a "great cigar" as cigars go. But this is one of the BEST at this price range. So you can't go wrong buying a bundle or two.
Customer Testimonials
This is a mild morning cigar with a thin wrapper and pleasant taste. Well worth the price.
A damn good cigar!
I saw this cigar on Cigar Aficionado top 10 value cigars for 2014. I'm always looking for a good deal. This is differently a good cigar for the money. Great burn, great taste, very smooth and great favors. Tons of smoke!
Tried a box press and did not like it. Wrapper was very thin and fragile. The flavors I perceive were kinda muted. Smell of the smoke wasn't pleasant either. Overall disappointing to me.
I ordered these cigars and I really like them. Very attractive wrapper, great construction, taste is great. Some reviews knock them for burn, but I have had no major issues and rolling the cigar seems enough to keep the burn even. They are well packed and have a nice heft to them in the hand. The flavor is subtle and consistent down to the nub and about halfway they pick up a nice mild pepper and earthy boost to the end. Not a super complex flavor bomb but a solid consistent stick with good flavor. Draw is excellent as well. I like them and would buy again.
Fantastic cigar, great favor, burn & construction. Reminds me of the CAO Italia.
Alrighty then! The VLL is a great tasting cigar to my surprise. The cigar tastes exactly how it is described. Delicious and handsome construction with an even burn. I must get some more of these cigars. They are under the radar, but believe me, its a really great cigar. I didn't want to let it go, so I lit another one.
Have these in my humidors constantly. They are a reliable, well made cigar that never fail to provide smooth, creamy flavor and a good, solid burn. I enjoy these as much or more than cigars I've paid 5 times more for. Great value.
This is my go to cigar. I recommend these to everyone. Medium bodies and complex, with hints of spice, cedar, and a slight sweetness that isn't overpowering at all. A complex flavor that never gets boring. I keep them stocked in my humidor. I smoke the perfectos and double robustos, and gordos, but the robusto is my favorite size. A must try.
Firmly rolled and densely packed. Easy draw with tons of smoke. Solid medium body and bold flavor. Clean crisp finish. I consider this a valued price great smoke. Not to hard on the eyes, either. Classy vitola.
F N aye....I love these Villiger has some fine smokes and this one is the best so far!
Smoking a Villager Lbertad in the sun. This is my second one and I like em! Peruvian tobacco (the binder and wrapper) has a unique spicieness so perhaps not for everyone. There is a sweetness that is not cloying, burn is razor sharp, construction flawless, strong but just north of medium. I like the CAO Italias (which include peruvian tobacco) so I thought these might be in my wheelhouse. Very good stick IMHO.
Caught these on an e-mail special. What a pleasant surprise. The 92 rating is well earned in my book. This is a well constructed cigar with a pleasing aroma and a great medium bodied taste. The Churchills last a good 1.5 hours. I saved the band for future reference. I will definitely buy these again.
I've only had one of these, but M-A-N was it good. A slow-burning, sweet-smelling, delicious Churchill that I milked for 2 solid hours... I'm glad to see that you're carrying them now. I'll have to get some more!
