Oliva Flor de Oliva

Stellar, value-oriented handmades by Oliva cigars.

Flor de Oliva cigars are value-priced beauties from Gilberto Oliva and family, crafted from Dominican and Nicaraguan long-leaf tobaccos and a robust and satisfying Sumatra wrapper. After aging, the end result is a flavorful, creamy smoke - rich and creamy without the bite.

The ‘Giants’ sizes utilize the same blend of fine tobaccos as the more traditional sizes, but offer a cooler, slower smoke that continues to build in flavor as the cigar burns. A delicious (and inexpensive) display of large-ring cigars.

Top-notch CI pricing seals the deal.

NOTE: Oliva has recently changed the packaging on Flor De Oliva. They are now offered in bundles of 20, rather than bundles of 25.

Great cigar, bargain price
These are great everyday cigars and a bargain to boot. Smooth, satisfying smoke, occasionally turning a little bitter towards the end. Every so often. I'll light up one of these and get the sensation that the head has been infused with some sort of sweet flavoring - maybe one out of six cigars. Anyway, I usually smoke at least one of these every day, and, if they can continue putting them out at this low price, I'll continue to be a customer.

OK, not great
The size is terrific, the best thing about this cigar. Taste and arome a fairly good, although it gets somewhat bitter towards the end. But overall quality of construction is often a problem: splits in the wrapper, etc. For the price and size: OK, not great.

Best kept secret...
I stumbled across these smokes about 6 years ago in my local smoke shop. I have since moved and forgotten how much value you get for the price of these sticks. They are inexpensive, but NOT cheap smokes. If you are looking for an inexpensive, everyday smoke that last for 1-2 hours, this is it.

Very Good Cigar For The Price /
Good Value. I prefer the size 7"-8" and a 52+ ring, the strength Medium to Full, and it is a great tasting cigar vs. many (house brands, seconds) in this price range that can smoke like rolled newspaper, and CI has a better price w/ shipping then other sites

Tastes like a ten dollar cigar!
You can't beat this Maduro cigar for its value and taste. For 40 bucks a bundle you can't go wrong....So if you are on a budget I recommend "Oliva Flor de Oliva Toro Maduro...

So far this last order
So far this last order has been pretty good. But the previous two orders the quality of the smoke was no what I'm use to with the Olivas . I was thinking of possibly changing to another brand.

Best Cigar for the Price
In my opinion these are the best cigars out there for under two bucks. The Oliva premium cigars are some of my favorites and these do not fall that far behind for one third the price. They really live up to the Oliva name. I generally smoke these when I do may not have a lot of time or when I am fishing. They are a quality smoke but you do not feel so bad if you have to put them out when you are only halfway through or you watch a fresh lit one floating down the river. They are also great for handing out to less experienced cigar smokers.

flora de oliva
when i buy the same cigar from other companys.... the cigars are more sweet than yours for some reason. It seems like it happens all the time. talked to olivas vp about it and he sent me free cigars. Do you have them specialy made or are they giving you there less than perfect cigars because of the price that you guys sell them for.

Could be a 3 1/2 star
Very good, smooth, slightly sweet to start, never harsh, wonderful end of day smoke. I even bought the foot long ones for the course as a novelty on the golf course, but I was very pleased, and my buddies who brought more expensive ones could not believe how inexpensive, and large they were. My go to smoke.

The best smoke isn't always the most expensive.
If you've never tried these beauties, what are you waiting for. I've smoked many expensive cigars, but not come close to the consistency of burn, taste, and ash as the Flor de Oliva. The next one taste as good as the last. These are on my reorder list all the time and are pretty much my everyday smoke. But don't take it from me,try them yourself. Thanks.

Flor de Oliva has always been my "go to" cigar. Sure, I've tried a lot of really great fine cigars, but for the price, consistent quality, and reasonable can't beat the Flor de Oliva Torpedo!

Flor de Oliva Churchill Maduro
Great inexpensive, everyday smoke. Medium tobacco taste, good draw and consistently good construction on every stick. I like the fact that the cap is not sweetened, unlike the natural variety.

Wonderfully consistent smoke
have tried many different cigars and always had some that were wrapped so tight they wouldn't draw. The Olivia Lonsdale has a very consistent draw all the time. I also like the size, not too small and not massive like a Churchhill.

Best value in a Robusto! Love the sweetness of the wrapper and the all around pleasant smoke. A winner!

Price vs. Quality
The wrapper was a little too sweet for my liking but overall considering the cheap price the cigar burns nicely and is a good selection for messing around on the golf course.

Flor de Oliva
I've been a serious cigar fan for less than 10 years. The FdO brand is the first cigar brand I tried. I have determined that this is the best (non cuban)cigar I've smoked, at literally any price. Full flavored, great construction, quality control is superb. I have smoke cigars and 5 x the price with less satisfaction.

Customer Testimonials
Good value and smooth smoke. The wrapper had a nice sweet taste.
This is by far CI's best kept affordable secret. Great flavor, great burn and a top quality cigar. If you have not tried these, you must.
Oliva Flor de Oliva has got to be the best medium cigar on the market. It has great flavor and stays on the palate for a good while. It burns slow and even. It has a slightly sweet taste and I really enjoy it. I also like the variety of sizes and you can't beat the price. I could have one of these everyday.
These are excellent for the $$$ slightly sweet wrapper great smoke all the way down to the label!
These are my everyday smokes. Love them. Cant beat the price and they are all great regardless of the size. Also great to give away or bring to'll be the hero and still have plenty of money in your pocket and your prized smokes never have to leave the comfort of your humidor.
Wanting some cigars on the smaller ring size I purchased a box of the 7x44. Not only is this well constructed with great flavor, easy even draw, with plenty of smoking time. The price is well worth every dollar spent with no regrets on my end. I would say this is a must try cigar, & I'm working on my second box.
Great Cigar! Lots of smoke and aroma. I watched the video and I have to say it was very accurate. I would buy again and consider this brand top notch, very impressed since this is their lower level value.
Great smokes for the price. They do need a bit of rest before smoothing out though.
Ordered these gems and loving it. Great burn, great taste and a awesome value. These are my go-to cigars for my day to day smoke. I highly recommend oliva flor de oliva to all and the whole Oliva line of smokes. Thanks CI
Recieved these awesome morsel the other night, great smoke with a great value. The Oliva line of cigar is one of my all time favorites. Thanks CI.
I have atleast one cigar per day and I like Flor De Oliva. I normally buy maduro but decided on a lighter sumatra wrapper. A sumatra wrapper isnt naturally sweet and the details say nothing about being flavored. I thought this cigar was ruined because it's been soaked in some kind of yucky sweetener. I smoked them nevertheless but wouldn't order them again. The sumatra is a great smoke but not this one, try to find the unsweetened. On the upside, thanks CI for all these great deals.
Great value but a few in the bundle may not be as satisfying as other. I encountered a side-burning cigar about 1 in 5. All-in-all...a darned good smoke.
Great buy-and-smoke cigar. These are just a little sweet. Not "infused" sweet, but clearly have a sweet note. These are not complex and don't develop as they smoke; they are pleasant from start to finish. I am a fan of the 90+ seconds you can find here and these are a great contrast. Excellent one, two combination which now comprise my "daily" smoke preference. These would be a good intro cigar for someone who is not afraid of a good deal of smoke.
You can't beat these babies for the price, better than some of the more expensive sticks.
I love these cigars. They are my choice of a good everyday smoke, not very expensive, but still provide a great flavor!
Very nice smoke.. I love the little sweet after bite. I enjoy them while watching the game or having my favorite spirits after a hard day. The price will not kill the wallet and the sticks are a hit time after time.
Just an awsome every day cigar. Love it on the Golf Course!
These cigars are cheap enough to be "knock around" smokes as they say it, but I wouldn't even dare! These guys are always stocked in my box. These smokes are great right from the rip but if you keep these in your box for a couple months then you have yourself a gem. I love them, my friends love them, always have always will and for the price CI has them we're gonna be smokin good for a long time..
This is a nice smoke at a reasonable price. Great to have some on hand for an everyday cigar.
This is the one! Great flavor and my friends who don't smoke cigars (I know I need new friends) compliment the aroma of this fine Nicaraguan masterpiece.
Sweet!......And I don't mean that in a good way. I have to say, I've really tried to learn to enjoy this cigar, but I can't get past the sweetness. Sorry, mediocre at best.
I have been smoking these cigars for about a year now and this has been a very nice smoking cigar with a pleasant taste. The sumatra sweet leaf wrap on these is what makes the difference. They are not flavored or sweetened. Very nice and the price is even better. Thanks CI.
My B&M always keeps these well stocked and for good reason. A tasty smoke at a very affordable price. I'm always sure to have several of these lounging in my humidor.
Love the taste and consistency! Great cheap smoke..I will be buying more soon
GAAAH! Sweet tip! Splenda! It lasted all the way through the 60 minute churchill. Totally ruined the first one. I cut the next one a bit deeper and sucked it out like snake poison well before lighting...not so bad that way. Why would they distract from the experience by soaking the tip in a sweetener? A good cigar otherwise.
Touted as being the bottom of the Oliva brand, the "Flor de Oliva" are a surprisingly good cigar! The burn was slow & even and the smoke was smooth & plentiful. I've even tried the ridiculously large "Giant 10x66". This beast is down-right silly to smoke in public. But despite it's ginormous size, I still found it to be a very enjoyable 3 hour smoke. Grab yourself a bundle of robusto or toro's. At around $2 a stick, you can't go wrong. It's a cigar you can enjoy on a daily basis without breaking the bank. The perfect balance of quality & price.
I just got my first box of these and wish i would have tried them before. They are fantastic.Smooth from start to finish.Nice even burn. I can smoke these all day for the price.Thank you CI.
HOLY ISSH!...I read the reviews, I saw Gonzo pick Video, and it was spot on! These are a GREAT SMOKE for the price, did I mention they were GREAT? I'm so glad I found a great everyday smoke! I had the Lonsdale. These will stay in humi rotation! I feel like I struck Gold!
Raspy , could not finish it. You get what you pay for. Never again.
In just under 3 years I will estimate I have smokeed close to 400 of these cigars, and that's probably on the low side. I recently started ordering from a second source to compare. You see, in the last year the quality of these cigars have started to take a turn for the worst. My last 4 orders have been full of plugged cigars, or loose cigars, or cracking cigars. In all fairness I have noticed the biggest quality issues with inspector numbers in the 20's. I too have noticed the change in flavors from bundle to bundle, some times not for the better. If you get a bundle from inspector #12 consider yourself lucky. You can't trust that will be a good bundle. Quality waining on this one. Not to mention the bundle shrinlage from 25 to 20 and the price increases from $27.00 to $34.95. $1.12 a stick to a $1.75 in under 2 years. I don't see the value anymore. If you don't mind fighting the quality issues they are still a fairly good daily cigar. although a little too pricey for what you get.
These aren't terrible--decent cigars for the price although the flavors are confused, likely because of mixed filler from the Oliva tables used within. Good for those who need to smoke or want to do so while focusing their attentions on other projects.
I drop the ball too early. I had forgot about them a few months. They sat in the humi for that period of time. Then I finally smoke one an I was impressed. I'm very sorry if anyone took me serious. I hope not anyway these very tasty, they burn just as good as any others. Their great for what you pay. You can't go wrong that's for sure. Their worth buying more than one bundle. When I get extra funds for sure I'll be buying a few bundles. Ps don't wait too long they might be on back order.
Bought a bundle of 20 of the naturals and smoked one last night. I'm very pleased. If you're looking for a mild, smooth, good-quality everyday smoke--this is a great choice. Only complaint is that the first one burned a little unevenly. However, considering the price and the quality, this stick will be a regular in my humidor!
Started smoking the Churchills about a year ago and found that, for the price, they are always consistent in quality and smoke, firm to the end, and worth every cent. Then I started with the Gigantes and found the same even though they are longer. Recommend this for a smoke at a very reasonable price. No surprises.
I have to say, Flor de Oliva has been one of my staple favorites for years. They are top notched and extremely reasonably priced for what you get. I usuallly don't get any construction flaws, but I did have one split at the cap in my humi recently. Although....I will say the humi was new, and the humidity was kinda swinging, so it was probably the humi and not the stick itself. I realllllllly enjoy the favor of the naturals. I am partial to the torpedo shape. The start is almost sweet, and the cigar produces tons of creamy smoke. I have always bought these, and I always will. Try them, you won't be disappointed.
i bought the giants 1066... great cigar...... i was wary at first because of the size... but the draw was nice and easy. And the taste was fantastic. hope they never stop making them...........
This is a tasty number and well worth the $1.50 price. It is very well constructed and burns evenly. The cigars are mild-medium with sweet tobacco flavors, and as advertised without the bite. Pesonally, I prefer to use a punch on the Robusto naturals, rather than making a full cut. I'll certainly be buying more of these, and I can't wait to try the maduros. The Oliva Familiy just can't make a bad cigar...
Flor de Oliva bundles are my any day smoke. They are very consistent. After many bundles, I can honestly say I have had only a couple with difficult draw. The price is right, the blend is very good, and they are consistent. I like good flavor, but I don't like the top of my head blown-off with strength. A difficult draw is perplexing also. It seems many times the more expensive cigars are too bold, and have too tight of a draw. I hate paying $5 or more for a cigar I cannot get the smoke through.
Hey fellow herfers, just got an 8-pak of the Flor De Oliva giants 10x66 a few days ago and smoked the 1st one tonight. This is a quality smoke, nothing gimmicky about it. Excellent draw mostly even burn that went slightly astray but corrected itself. That classic Oliva flavor came through, you know, that light salty, buttery, baked bread type of flavor, and light dashes of sweet pepper popped up every now and then. This was a solid 2 and 1/2 hours so make sure you have time. The smoke aroma was delicious as well. IMO this is not subpar by any means and the nub was even tasty(down to less than an inch)! This baby was just a whole lot of fun for not much money. Thanks as always,C.I.
I bought a bundle an it wasn't all that. All you end up is wasting space in you're humidor. The price is right that's for sure. It's better to spend a little more so you're be satisfied than upset.
I had a Flor de Oliva Gold torpedo over the weekend. It was in the humidor for a solid 3 months. Overall construction was great. Had a little unraveling as I was finishing up, but even that was very minor. The draw was excellent! The best draw I've ever had from a cigar. Very consistent burn as well. I'm more of a medium-full body smoker, but if you like the mild-medium variety, this is a great smoke! And you can't argue with the price. Enjoy!
The quality of these $30-40 per bundle of 20 cigars in overall construction and taste is the best overall value you'll going to find anywhere (except for the steep discount on clearance brands). I have tried the natural and maduro longfiller wrapped toro and torpedo sizes and you cannot go wrong, both have a medium strength that starts off with lighter tobacco smoke mixed with leathery/creamy flavors that build to a fuller tobacco smoke with leathery/woodsy flavors mid-way to 2/3rds in. The maduro wrap does add a bit more complexity to the smoke and is my favorite. I wouldn't say that these are as good as Oliva's G/O/V brands, but they're pretty close, especially for an everyday smoke, at the golf course or to give out to a smoking buddy. I understand that over the years, the overall quality has gone down a bit, also the bundle was 25 cigars just over a year ago, but it's still a great deal. On a 100 point scale, I would rate the naturals an 87 and the maduros an 88 (unblinded); consistency could be better.
I bought the bundle of the Giants 1066 just as kind of a novelty cigar for my friends and I. But it turned out that they were actually really great smokes. None of us had a cutter large enough for the cigars, and after about 3 hours of puffing on one of these, you kinda get light headed. But it was a nice mild smoke all the way through.
Awesome smokes for a great price. Love the robusto naturals.
i had in the past bought a few bundles of these torp. LOVED them! regardless of the low price, BUT! recently received a new bundle that i had waited for 4 weeks to get, to find this bunch nowhere near the quality of past smokes. I dont know what changed but i was very disappointed.
Nobody seems to rate this cigar so i thought i would give it a little love. This cigar is no Cuban, Opus-X or Partagas 160, but for a great smoke without the $5-$10 price tag, this cigar is for you. The natural is in my opinion the better bet if you want to smoke them right out of the bundle. The maduro's need about six months of aging to make them taste right, but don't get me wrong, the maduro is still a great smoke. This cigar is one of my favorites that i can smoke or give to my buddies without sacrificing quality or price. I would recommend giving these cigars a try.
I bought the torpedo maduro at the local cigar shop. You can imagine what they charged me. any way,I lit it and got a nice hit of pepper wihich mellowed into flavorable classic nicarauguan taste. agood easy draw, even burn, and some nice spice all the way.Great Nicaragn aroma. I love nicarauguan smokes. almost tasted like a puro. After paying the price that I paid, I can tell you with certainy that CI's price would be hard to beat.
This is a good cigar, not too strong with plenty of flavor! Great cigar for the price.
