Gurkha Warpig

Pig out on Gurkha's affordable new handmade.

To truly understand Gurkha Warpig, imagine a beast with sharp tusks, blood-thirsty eyes, a take no prisoners attitude, and roll that all into one savory handmade. Not for the timid, Warpig stares at you in the face, challenging you with every puff. Unleashing a fierce array of flavor that only few will, and can appreciate, Warpig is a full-flavored cocktail.

Draped in a dark, oily maduro wrapper and jam-packed with feisty long-fillers from Honduras and the Dominican, prepare for a Gurkha cigar of epic proportions. A bold yet balanced profile leads the charge as strong notes of espresso, cocoa, pepper, cedar, and a healthy dose of cream enter the fray. Sealing the delicious ensemble in place is a long, lingering, lip-smacking finish. The best part is, this one comes equipped with a price tag that will have you enjoying it daily. A powerful, top-shelf Gurkha staring you down for around $4-$5. If this doesn't sound like a dream come true, you should get your head checked STAT.

Very nice smoke
I'm no cigar vet, but I'm not a beginner either. The warpig has a great mix of flavors......cream, wood, traditional leaf, and the wrapper has a slight sweetness that comes out on the tongue......I love this only negative thing to say is that there doesn't seem to be absolute consistency from one cigar to the next as I have come to expect from my all time favorites, but then, I've never had another cigar with such an easily identifiable mix of flavors either.....this is a great cigar!

The Gurkha Warpig is a great cigar and a good price. However, not as fresh as I would have expected.

Up in smoke
Great smoke, truly not a pig at all. Thankfully a name is just a name. This is one cigar that I enjoyed from the moment the matches flame toasted the tobacco until I finally had to put it down in fear of catching my moustache on fire.( the ultimate last puff) Truly a great smoke and value.

Warpig is a winner
One of the best cigars in the Gurkha lineup. Nutty taste and very balanced. Good to the nub.

Warpig is great
The GW is a great tasting cigar with a nutty flavor and twang on the finish. It's one of my favorite in the Gurkha lineup.

Love these small little guys, burns perfectly and flavors galore. My favorite Gurkha.
Customer Testimonials
Gurkha Warpig was an excellent MMAO score! The Gordo, just like most of Ghukha's Gordo sticks, is great. I wouldn't necessarily say they are great right out of the box, they are good right out of the box, but if you can afford to let it sit in the humi for a bit, with the right conditions they come into their own. I won't attempt to tell you what the flavors are, I'm a 'like it' or 'not' smoker and these ones are worth your hard earned dough.
I thought they were amazing smokes right out of the box. Now that they have been sitting in my humidor for a few months, they are even better. The whole "hate them or love them" is understanding, but to me, if you took off the band, everyone would enjoy this smoke.
This cigar has a well aged Maduro leaf with a lot of oils. It has wonderful thick and moist smoke that wets your mouth. Because it's naturally aged, you may taste the fermentation. To some it's a bad taste; however, to most, it is very pleasent. I really enjoyed this cigar. Just a tip, use a punch to cut this one.
One of the finest full blends for the money. A big hit here in Jackson MS
With Gurkha you know you're always getting a quality smoke, and was very pleased with the Warpig, great mix of flavors. Worth a try to anyone that's a Gurkha fan.
I fired this thing up last night for a "farewell" to one of my buddies. The Gurkha War Pig was in the CI Taster Pack. I got about 1/3 the way through and realized I was going to need a chair to finish the whole thing (accompanied by a glass of bourbon naturally.) It was impressive. A beast of a cigar, definitely not one to pick up and have with a cup of coffee in the morning but for poker night or a long smoke on the porch it's an absolute delight. Will be ordering more of these.
I've enjoyed numerous boxes of the War Pig. It's highly enjoyable. Full smoke and tightly packed. I'd pay twice as much for these and I don't remember ever saying that about another cigar.
The cigar was well constructed and looked and smelled great. However, the flavors were all over the place. I got a lot of bitterness and an unpleasant after taste. I feel the warpig was too aggressive and tried to be too many things. It tried to be both sweet and peppery but ended up with a combo that made it bitter and uh unbalanced. I going to leave my other warpig to age and mellow out.
I heard Gurkha is a "love it, or hate it" brand. Ive only tried two different varieties thus far, but both were hits with me. Especially this Warpig. Just ordered more. Very flavorful, great construction and burn. Meets my criteria for an enjoyable smoke.
I've devoured my first box. Great surprise for me that they're so excellent! Terrific flavor with a full smoke. Great long burn. This review is boring, but it really is that simple and satisfying.
Bought some before there was any reviews. Huge let down. I was taken in by the packaging and the cool name. Call me a sucker. The only reason I bought a five pack was because I tried a Gurkha Evil and thought it was OK at best, and I was hoping this would be a step up. Burned well, construction was alright, but it was the most tasteless cigar I have ever had. I still have no words to describe it, because there was no flavor.
Like every other Gurkha I've smoked this one is decidedly blase. Don't know what type of leaf was used to make the Maduro, but this one is so thin as to be almost non existent.....
In my humble opinion, this is the best offering Gurkha has created to date. It is a bit on the full side, but never overwhelming and settles into a nice smoke. Even my wife likes 'em. A bit fast burning or that could be that I don't want the journey to end
Received a warpig in a sampler pack last week. It was in my humidor until last night when I decided to have an after dinner smoke. I was not impressed at all. The draw was way too weak and flavors really weren't pleasant. I've heard Gurkha is a love it or hate it type of maker... Unfortunately, I belong in the latter category.
Not gonna lie, the warpig is a total letdown. With only 3 days in the humi I pulled one from the 5 pack I recieved and lit with some sense of excitement. That soon faded as I was met with flavors of moldy hay, wet grass, and saw dust from an oak tree. BITTER disgusting smoke! I couldn't make it to the halfway point. Burn was not razor sharp, but was still on the good side. Wrapper starting to unravel like some of the bad Gurkha do. Clearly this isn't the experience other reviewers are having so maybe with a long stint in the humidor they will be smokeable. Also there was no pepper or spice up front or on the finish.... if you just want to get your feet wet with Gurkha try the beast, regent, or centurion.
I received a few WPs in a sampler and was pleasantly surprised when I had the first one. While sitting around the fire pit here in Afghanistan, I past them to a couple of friends and we all agreed we had to get a box or two. DIDO on the previous reviews!
Gurkha Warpig Torpedo is a medium to full bodied smoke. Dominant flavors were off espresso, cocoa, and nutmeg. Finish was semi long which leaves a cocoa but flavor to the palette. No construction issues for me. Draw was good, smoke output plentiful. The Warpig is not as complex as Gurkha's other Maduros but does offer consistency. A 88 in my book
I've smoked many cigars, and many Gurkha. I'd say the Warpig is right down there with the Black Ops... Out of 10 cigars I had two with rotten leaves. The remainder of the cigars were alright, nothing special. For the same price I'd say your money is better spent on either some Black Dragon Fury, Status, Estate, or even better, Evils. In other brands for the same price you get much higher quality from 5 Vegas; I've never had a rotten leaf in any other cigars.
Just received my porkers yesterday, lit one up this evening and man what can I say an abundance of flavors!! Starts off with pepper, oak in the first third, then softens out in the middle to a smooth light chocolate and it finishes with a bang with the pepper spice leaving a nice lip smacking after effect! Highly Recommended :)
Got my "pigs" yesterday, so only one day in the humidor, but the first one was very satisfying. Started out with nice spice and faint sweetness, but not strong. The flavor built with time and I hated to put it down. Good, even burn on this first one.
