Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Sale

Hmm....I wonder why it’s called Shaggy.

If you were guessing the Gurkha Shaggy got its name from its shaggy foot, then you are spot on. If you were thinking about Scooby-Doo....we might have a problem. The Gurkha Shaggy is a very distinctive cigar from the creative mind of K. Hansotia. Besides the noticeably exposed foot, the Shaggy utilizes a balanced recipe of vintage tobaccos. Bursting from within awaits 5-year old Dominican long-fillers and binder. Resting atop this aged core is an enticing chocolaty-brown 8-year old Dominican wrapper. Upon toasting the rugged foot, the binder and filler provide an insightful experience as to the taste of a cigar sans its wrapper. (Truly very unique if you have yet to experience it.) As the burn reaches the wrapper, warm smoke swarms the palate engulfing the senses as smooth notes of tobacco, oak, spice, and a hint of vanilla round out this medium-bodied treat. Not your normal Gurkha, heck – not your normal cigar, the Shaggy is a must try.

Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Gran Rothschild
One great everyday smoke; while I age all my premium high- end cigars, I keep a good supply of everyday great smokes. My everyday smokes may not be high-end, but they provide a great smoking pleasure. I love them for price, quality, great taste, and enjoyment. I enjoy smoking Gurkhas for a great smoking pleasure.

Plugged!!!
I purchased 30 of these and many were plugged and not smokable

Smooth smoke
This is the second shaggy I've tried and was not disappointed! Even burn, smooth draw, and excellent flavor that pretty much matches well with any sort of beverage. My neighbor tried one w/ me and he is not a regular smoker. He fell in love and wanted to smoke another one right after finishing his first! This is and will be a staple in my humidor!

Bad Gurkha option
Flavour not so good, and breaks apart every time, other Gurkha are much much better.

Great smoke
I don't know why all the blogs say that this is a plain single flavor smoke because I enjoyed it very much and will be buying them again! As far as I am concerned my new daily smoke for the morning

It's Shappalishous
Great Cigar at a great price. Earthy, full of flavor. I bought 15 to give them a try (love the brand) and I wasn't disappointed. All the people that left low reviews, I'll gladly take them off your hands... I'm buying more on sale today

Perfecto Fan
This is my second order for Gurkha's Vintage Shaggy Double Perfectos. They're the perfect cigar for me (no pun intended). Nice and easy draw, rich flavor, and a dandy complement to a glass of Kentucky's finest.

Great smoke for the price
I've had these in the humidor for 2-3 months now. So far, the 3 I have had were of excellent construction and had a sharp burn. Lots of smooth, mild/medium body smoke, and every one lasted a good 90+ minutes. Good solid ash that hung on initially for about 1.5 inches. Only 1 had a slightly fragile wrapper when I got down to the nub, but I was handling it a lot, so no concerns there. I will definitely buy these again!

Great Price, Great Smoke
I don't know a ton about cigars except that I know I hate paying a lot for them and I know what I like. And I like this one. Great flavor, no problem keeping it lit, although my friends have had some trouble. The way I light it gives a nice even burn. Again, my friends have had some trouble with uneven burn. But this cigar is perfect for me. I'll be back.

Exactly what I wanted
I love Gurkha and saw these extra long size for the perfect ending of a day. Smoke half before dinner and half after. Great price too.

Great value!
I gave up my La Finca, Grande Finca for this cigar. Much more flavor and consistency in construction. A great price point for an every-day smoke!

Gurka Shaggy
I was not going to reply, The first one was hard to draw and keep lit. The second was so-so, Then I tried the third one. I liked it. If the rest are like it- I will be satisfied. Not sure I would order again. I am hooked on "Beauty"

Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Gran Torpedo
Overall I have been pleased with these sticks. Great taste and great medium to full flavor. Oaky and spicey I would say. My only negative is that in some of them there is a distinct uneven burn, and significant hard spots. Otherwise they would be a five star....but still worth the price.

Gurkha as usual!
Any surprise? Not at all, it's a Gurkha. I bought the Gran Torpedo, and really enjoy them. My saturday afternoon cigar. Don't be impressed by the size, it's a really nice, flavorfull cigar, tasty and really enjoyable cigar. I really like then, n guess what? Will buy it again 4 sure and strongly recommend the Shaggy! Enjoy...

WOW !! -- Great Cigar.....
Smokes smooth and mild. No harsh taste, or after taste. Well constructed but....it could be a little bit more tightly wound. It won't unravel on you but you think it will. The tobacco is ALL QUALITY TOBACCO, so for the price, it's quite a bargain.

Hard to start
The first 1/4 of the shaggy burn is hard to get even. After that very good.

Gurkha Shaggy
The Shaggy is one of Gurkha's better cigars. It's fairly consistent in construction and the smoking experience is also consistent. Better than most other Gurkha sticks.
5 out of 5
Strange and flavorable Cigar.
It was kinda crazy when i opened them up looking at the foot. It was shaggy looking so i fired it up got a full flavor of the cigar i enjoyed it. I would purchase them again if and when you run another gurkha sale on them.

A great Gurkha
So far I have smoke 7 or 8 sticks of these bad boys and they are so damn good. The foot starts off with a peasant spice to prep you for the full experience. Once you get to the wrapper, the leathery taste made me want to gnaw on it. The oaky taste was really enjoyable as the smoke starts to change into plums of creamy, velvety goodness. Honestly, a far better smoke then I was expecting at all. Then again, its a Gurkha.

Is there such a thing as a bad Gurkha?
Well if there is, I have not smoked it. You just cannot go wrong with this brand. It gives you an even burn, great taste and satisfaction to the last draw. I hadn't even finished them before I ordered more. If you haven't tried them you should. You won't be disappointed.

A very good mild everyday cigar
Good construction, good burn, well packed and descent draw. Its linear overall, not very oily. You can feel the quality in the smoke and that's what makes it my favorite mild cigar.

Great value
It's all about the smoke with this cigar. Rich and aromatic, lots of cedar and leather. Taste is mellow with no bite. Very smooth all the way through. Minor touch ups needed. Not very complex but neither am I.Sure there are smokes that are twice as good but they cost 4 times as much! I have about 15 different brands in my humidor, Vintage Shaggy is the best bang for the buck.
3 out of 5
Gurka Shaggy
Not the best for sure. Uneven burn, tight draw, and you have to constantly watch to see what it is doing. To my way of thinking with a premium cigar like Gurka, you should only have to light it and sit back and enjoy without having to constantly keep track of what it is doing. I have smoked Punch cigars more than half way before having to flip the ash first time. Won't buy these again.
5 out of 5
Great deal!
I've only had one so not much to go on, but it had a great earth and nut flavor with a perfect burn!
4 out of 5
Great for handing off to your mates
I orders these for the great price. The first couple ones i've smoked tasted like paint. After setting them in a humidor set up with slightly higher humidity than usual for my dry sticks, These babies were SOO MUCH BETTER. Very mild but very pleasant. goes great with a good beer or glass of whiskey.

Share a Gurkha Shaggy with a buddy.
A buddy bought a pack of Gurkha Vintage Shaggies from CI so I tried one. I really liked it so I bought my own pack. Enjoyed all of them, so I bought them again. This might be one of my new humidor stand-by cigars.

Darn good everyday smoke!
I'm not sure why there's a lot of negative reviews regarding this cigar. I'm not sure exactly how many times I've ordered this particular cigar, but I know it's probably about my 5th time. I'm a pretty big Gurkha fan and cigars have lived up to my expectations time and time again.

Poor construction DO NOT BUY
Horrible cigar I can't even cut it without it falling apart. Gurkha makes come good cigars and some not so good ones and this is one of the not so good ones. The construction is so poor that I have started to just cut them up and put them in my garden to use as a pesticide.

Very smooth and easy burn! One of my favorites!
Very smooth and easy burn! Great on the golf course!
3 out of 5
A bit uneven but flavorful
I enjoy the cigars, but they tend to burn unevenly, go out often, and tunnel burn, where the center of the cigar burns, but the wrapper and binder don't. Draw seems excellent from start to finish.
3 out of 5
Questionable Cigars. Great service.
The special price CI ran a on these cigars motivated my purchase. I had positive experience with the shaggies in the past so I was confident these would as well. The first few I smoked met my expectations. Then the last two were difficult to draw. I've still got half what I ordered. Hopefully these smoke as well as those i've purchased in the past. By the way, regardless of the quality of the cigars I've had nothing but exemplary service from CI. Keep up the good job guys!

Gurkha Shaggy not a dog!
Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Gran Torpedos are a great smoke. For a large ring size cigar, they remain smooth smokes to the end. Only complaint is the ends of my batch seem dry and leave a ragged burn for the 1st inch or so.

Great Everyday cigar
Though good as an everyday 'gar, I was surprised at what seemed "less-than-Ghurka' quality construction & burn. Good flavor and a long burn time make up for that when you factor everything in, though.

Difficult draw
I received these cigars about 10 days ago and was excited to get them. My first smoke was really terrible. No matter what I did, a second and then third cut, I wasn't able to get the cigar to properly draw. On my second attempt, the cigar drew well, was tasty, interesting and pleasurable. I have not as yet tried a third smoke and hope it is like the second, not the first.

Good tasting cigar. Stays lit and gives a good 45 minute smoke. I had one that was hot when it came close to the end. I would buy again.

Typical Ghurka Quality
Like most Ghurkas, the Vintage Shaggy had some great sticks, and some problem sticks. Uneven burn, occasional tar buildup, trouble keeping them lit. Out of the whole pack maybe half were enjoyable smokes. The rest weren't worth the price of admission.

This Gurkha Shaggy Imperial Presidente is a very smooth, great burn, with mild to medium taste. One of my favorite smokes for the buck!
4 out of 5
Very tasty and yes...shaggy
I bought these after I watched an I interview in which Konestia said these were his go to cigars. I thought I would give them a try. Any excuse to smoke a cigar right!? I've smoked a half dozen so far and I must say they are very tasty!! Not sure of blah blah nuances or blah blah traces but they are good. They have that creamy buttered toast, roasted nuts (pistachios?), oatmeal flavor and I love it!! Can't get enough of the flavor. My eyes roll back and I forget about corruption and injustices which is mainly why I smoke cigars, (flavor is #1). The problem I have with these stogies is that the wrapper (aged to 8 years?) crumbles, flakes and cracks at about half a smoke. It is very thin and I must be very careful to not touch it too much at that point. It's something I'm incapable of doing. This is a very tasty smoke that looks great at first but degrades to a backwoods fugstick by the end.

Thanks for great deal on your Ghurka Shaggys. Awesome sticks at a crazy price. My friends were happy that I could spread the love around and look like a big spender. Now I am waiting for my order of "Rocky Patel vs the World". Keep the great deals coming, I'm going to need a bigger humidor.

Disappointing
I am a huge Gurkha fan but this one misses the mark in my opinion. It's flavorless, it draws really hard (I know people are going to say well yeah because it's a foot long but that's not it) and doesn't burn even. I now have 17 of these left and I plan on keeping it that way. I won't buy these ever again and I don't plan on smoking the ones I have left. Gurkha has way better for less money.

Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Gran Rothschild vs Double Perfecto
I like the Shaggy but I found that the shaggy foot on the Double Perfecto lent to uneven burning and canoeing. I lit them with matches, a zippo, and a torch lighter...best lighting results were with matches. I've purchased a few Shaggy bundles and found them to be good, solid cigars if you're willing to work with the burning inconsistencies. I think I have that figured out and will buy more. I have to add that I didn't have these problems with the Gran Rothschild. Maybe too much on the foot of the Double Perfecto? Overall I like the Shaggy...the Double Perfecto may need some construction work so I'll get more Gran Rothschild and enjoy it even more.

Gurkha's always burn crooked
No matter how many of their different makes we try, they are probably the worst burning cigar you can buy. Almost 70% will burn crooked, or cool, or tunnel. The ones that don't will flake off the wrapper during your smoke. I am done with the brand.

They suck!
They burn uneven no flavor. I was expecting a lot more from Gurkha. Great price but in my opinion save your money.

As Charles Barkley would say..."Just Turrible!"
These are the worst Cigars I've had in recent memory. Absolutely no flavor, they smell like grass and not the good kind. The wrapper is very thin and always cracks, then begins to fall off. Do not buy these. I still have three 5 packs that I refuse to smoke, not even good enough for the golf course.

Won't buy again
Tight draw, uneven burn, not much flavor. Disappointing

Very enjoyable!
I and a buddy lit these up on our way home from a music gig. He had already had one while vacationing in Hawaii and said he liked it a lot. We lit ‘em up and really enjoyed our trip home. We both thought it was a little lighter than what we usually expect from Gurkha, yet there was no shortage of complexity and flavor. A great smoke

Nice light smoker
Good, mild, and light. Great for a daily smoker.

Ok
Sticks not as sturdy or smooth as I've had before but good still and worth the time.

my go to
These are my goto smoke. I can hand one to an occasional smoker or kicking back on boat. Good on the inks also.

shaggy rocks!
Great cigars and flavor galore. I've had one or two that were a bit tough to keep lit but probably due to the length of these things. The shaggy foot always gives a nice even start up and burn. Thanks CI!

An amazing cigar with a meaty flavor

Smokey
Bad tobacco in most of them. Was on the Celebrity Equinox cruise ship and they produced steady smoke (more than coming from the ship).

Love the Shaggy. Some in the last batch were a little hard to keep lit, but it's more than worth the trouble.

Nothing special about shaggy, won't be reordering them. O.K smoke.

What a sleeper!
What a sleeper! It seems like it is always on special but why! It burns awesome, it is a nice medium bodied smoke with great tobacco richness in every puff which goes great with wine or whiskey by the fire plus the "shaggy" aspect gives you something to talk about with those "rookie" smokers.

Those Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Gran Torpedo's are a great smoke, very tasty, smooth and burn even. Love them. Highly recommended them to anyone who hasn't tried them yet, plus they are a fabulous deal at that price.

Awful
Irregular burns (one even "caught fire" when I was lighting it and wouldn't go out), bad flavor. I bought 3 5-packs of these, smoked part of one pack, tried another cigar from another pack and threw the rest out.

A real cigar at a great price
Excellent taste, burn, ash, construction... In short it is what you want from a cigar at twice the price. Never disappointed and I have smoked many of them.

Good Cigar at a Great Price!!!
Very good deal and pretty good cigar. Has good strength and flavors. I had some draw issues but not tat big of a deal. Would make a great everyday cigar for the price. Would defiantly buy some more!!!

Would not buy again
I had my cigars shipped overnight and they were stale tasting. About 1/2 of them the leaves started to peel off while smoking them.
1 out of 5
stale and VERY uneven burn on every stick
This batch was horrible. I tried to revive them in my humidor to no avail. They ALL burned very uneven to one side. I have had factory rejects that are better. I was very disappointed and will never order them again.

Good smoke for the price
For the price this a very enjoyable long lasting cigar, wrapper didn't come undone for me. The binder only part started out kind of woody and leathery but once you hit the wrapper it turned to creamy and pleasant smoke.

Close...but not a keeper
I've smoked through six of these and the best I can say is...."they're OK". I'm a big Gurkha fan and enjoy many of their offerings. I was hoping for a little more balanced smoke (like the Beast) and came away underwhelmed by the Shaggy. Not disappointed that I bought them....they're just not going to make my Top 10 Gurkha list.

Nice Smoke
Great consistency of the tobacco with a good 40 minute burn for me. Not to heavy but definitely has a more maduro flavor. I'll enjoy every one of them!

Nice balance/Uneven construction
It has a nice balance of light and richness. The construction was uneven. A couple had a very hard draw.

My least favorite Gurkha
Found them to be very inconsistent. Range from too spicy, to too bland. Just not what I expected compared to the other Gurkha's. Must be why they are always on sale. Only reason they got 2 stars is because the are well constructed.
3 out of 5
Nice cigar, some are rolled VERY tight
Great looking cigar, very large size! You can't really go wrong with a Gurkha! The Imperial Presidente is so long that you could almost cut them in half and get two smokes out of one cigar. Good flavor, will hold a LONG ash. I'd buy again but I guess I need one of those poker things to fix the tight-rolled ones. I'm only giving three stars because half-way thru the bundle of 15, three or four have been rolled so tightly that my cheeks get sore trying to draw thru them. As at least one other reviewer said, they sometimes start burning off-center.

Relax with this Shaggy
Bought these as part of sampler a year ago. CI had a deal recently and I grabbed a bunch more. Take your time and enjoy the Shaggy. Putting fire to them the first time is a little different, but as they burn in, the pleasure of this cigar comes on. They are on my ENJOYABLE cigar list.

Make Your Own 2'fer.
I found that the very long preidentes draw like a golf ball through a garden hose. So I began cutting the cigars in half. Voila! A superb, multi-flavored smoke. Plus you get two, albeit shortened, smoking pleasures for the price of one.

Good Flavor, Bad Construction
This stick had a very enjoyable flavor to it. However, out of the handful I have had, only one of them burned correctly. Most of them corrected themselves while smoking, but it still took a lot of the enjoyment out of it.

You Can't Go Wrong With a Gurkha!
There's nothing "shaggy" about the Gurkha Vintage Shaggy! It's an excellent smoke, it burns perfectly and thanks to CI, it doesn't burn through your wallet! In fact, it's fast becoming my 'go to, everyday' stogie!

Dry Shaggys
The Gurkha Shaggys came a bit dry. The wrapper peels and the filler burns very unevenly, requiring constant attention. They are, however very tasty and worth the effort

These cigars are decent and for the price a good value. Gurkha does have its own unique flavor and not really sure they are for me. I guess this is why samplers are a good idea

Great Cigars, Great Price
I have enjoyed all the cigars I have tried through Cigars International and have a list of personal favorites. I really like the specials that allow me to try the big money cigars at an affordable price. This lets me try other brands that I have not been willing to pay the big cigar store price for. My son now buys cigars from cigars international and we can trade what we have and this makes it even easier to try more brands to find our favorites. I am hooked and will buy my cigars from no one else. Thanks guys!

Couldn't get enough
If you want a smoke unlike anything before this one is for you. It has a smooth draw you would expect from a quality cigar without having to exert effort. Do not let it fool you as it is still very filling. It took me a little while to get use to it at first but by the end I couldn't get enough. I was back on CI the next day to order another round of Gurkha.

A great smoke for the price
i can't talk about "hints of coffee and chocolate" or "a sun drenched south face wrapper" but I know a good cigar for the cost that does what you want done. This one is it !

Gurkha's Vintage
I have smoked a lot of cigars and have enjoyed most of them. The Gurkha is one of the smoothest cigars around. For the prices you cant not beat them, every one should try a Gurkha Vintage at lest once, and when they do they will be hooked with the richness, flavor, and smoothness of a great cigar.

Not Happy
I got these Shaggy's and was excited to finally try them for the first time. I put them in my humi for a couple of days and then lit one up. immediately I couldn't get a good draw on it. It was tight as heck. I tgried another one a few days later and it was a much better construction. The taste was great too. But every second or third one was horrible. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch or what. And really not sure if I'll chance wasting my money on them again.

Nice smoke...uneven burn.
I've purchased a number of assortments and enjoy the various flavors. So often though, the cigars burn unevenly. I can accept the uneven burn, at times, but would enjoy an even burning cigar even more.

I love the Shaggy! I never let my humidor run close on these. Of course, the initial lighting is dee-lightful but I burn it down to the finger burnin stub! I've never offered one to my pals who are weekend tokers but I would proudly open the lid to another true aficianado. Great with coffee(my beverage) but I can just imagine a Shag with (my former) vodka rocks or Dewars. Shag On!

Shaggy is Great Deal
The toro or Grand Rothschild Shaggy is tasty, well made, and great value. Gurkha has more expensive smokes but fewer with better flavor.

Smooth
Smooth, but doesn't hold an ash very well. Hard to get started but mellowed out as you smoked it.

Vintage Shaggy Gran Torpedo
Not a bad smoke, heavy on the palate, gets heavier as it burns.
Customer Testimonials
Excellent smooth, mild taste. Great cigar.
Very nice, very smooth.
While I'm not a big Gurkha fan, I do like the Vintage 2001 Shaggy. I don't care about the "shaggy" part. I like the blend of the Vintage 2001. It's a good smoke with good flavors. I liked it enough to buy a mazo of lanceros.
What a great value. I have only had the lancero, but after my second one, there is no doubt that it is easily worth the modest price I paid. Nice even burning with a super easy draw and volumes of flavorful smoke right to the very end.
This is my favorite everyday cigar. Leave them in your herf for a week or more and they are a great shop or fishing cigar. Not too bold, but just right to chew and smoke while working or having fun. Great flavor, good draw; I just can't get enough of these guys. Now you need to know it's not a sit back with your buddies and drink cigar, but a great stick for everything else and at a good price.
Hands down legit. I got the Shaggy in a sampler with the Warlord and Beauty, but this is unique and perfectly complimented the vacation!
Mild tasting without a bite. Excellent after dinner or evening cigar.
Ok cigar. Did not draw too well and burned very quickly. I would stick with the larger ring size in the future.
Decent cigar but not my favorite from Gurkha. Nothing bad to say but nothing spectacular either. I smoked the Lancero this time one of my favorite sizes. I love Gurkha in general but I wasn't impressed with this stick. For the money it was good!
Its good. Really smooth, kinda one dimensional throughout in terms of taste. Stays cool for most of the cigar which is uncommon for me because im a fast smoker. All and all my kind of cigar. Only issue is with the shaggy part. Why they just didnt cut it off is a mystery to me.
I am not one to wax philosophical and explain notes, draw etc. but, I know tobacco intimately, and this was d@mn weird and very d@mn good. Thanks customer service for reminding me what exact name it was so I can order many more. Great addition, and just do it, makes for unique night and great gift with the shag.
I wasn't realy real happy with these. Not much taste and way too mild.
A very smooth medium-bodied smoke, good to the last puff, if you never tried a Shaggy, its your loss.
Loves the taste, but the construction wasn't up to snuff. I couldn't get through some without the wrapper having issues. They had been properly stored so that was not the problem. Too bad because I did like the cigar otherwise.
Tried these in a sampler, liked them so we'll ordered a bundle of 15 more. Great smokes, love the flavor and burn. Will definitely order again!
It is everything the write up says it is! A beautiful cigar with big taste and aroma.
At first I was very disappointed with this cigar, it had burn issues, a tight draw and the wrapper split about half way thru, but the flavor was good. I thought this would be a good give away cigar. After 6+ months in my 65% humidor my disapointment turned to delight. The burn isssues had dissapeared, the draw was near perfect and the wrapper didn't split. Smoke output was high and there were very nice flavors of oak with a light sweetness along with a pleasing spice that lingered on the palate. This cigar (torpedo) is a 1-1/2 hour+ smoke and pairs nicely with a hearty red wine or a spiced rum. Don't smoke this right off the truck, you will be disappointed!
Top notch smoke.
Excellent Smoke
Was surprised about this smoke. Did not expect much as previous shaggies left me disappointed. However, the burn was pretty good, flavor profile was mild to medium and the price was dirt cheap. Definitely let it sit in your humidor for several weeks which enhances the blend. This is a 7 out of 10 In my book. Good for a smoke to give to you friends and when you are hanging outside doing chores
Dollar for dollar the best Gurkha. Simple but tasty. Looks are deceiving.
An okay Gurkha Shaggy. Smoked one right away but burned uneven. After two weeks in the humidor burned great. Nice gentle smoke. Will be getting more later.
I bought 10 of these for a great price. I have to say, it burned almost perfect. Good ash. Had a nice, sweet, leathery taste. I enjoyed it, and I have 9 more to smoke.
I've not found a Gurkha I didn't like. This is no exception. It had been long in my humidor so I had forgotten about the shaggy foot and thought it was a bad stick or something. But because it was a treasured Gurkha I lit it anyways which led to a widening smile upon my first draw which was like a metered but easy breath. Lots of smoke with light toasty flavors and a slight hint of sweet. Like nearly every Gurkha, I smoked it nearly to the nub. I say nearly because it got hot but perhaps only because I was really enjoying the flavor which did not burn but stayed delightful to the end! Looking to buy more!
Well I received the Shaggy's. A little disappointed for a Gurkha, uneven burn but still tasted like a Gurkha. For the special price that was on them it still was a good deal. I'll have to try some other Gurkha's later.
The draw on this stick was very hard.... It produced a tremendous amount of smoke however. Too bad as I liked the taste very much.
I just smoked this cigar for the first time and was at first impressed I liked the flavor and had good amount of smoke but about half way it started having this funky taste and just completely turned me away from this cigar. Most likely won't smoke another one although I will be trying other kinds of sticks from Gurkha I will continue to look for a favorite
A beautiful damn cigar right here folks. The flavor is outstanding and for the price, there couldn't be a better deal. The more you sit on them the better they get. I may buy this one again.
Couldn't pass up the Lanceros at that price, as the Shaggy Foot is one of my favs. Smoked one today right off the truck. Every bit a Shaggy Foot all the way. Draw was a bit tight - so the rest went straight into the "dor". Will definitely be picking up more in the coming weeks.
I ordered the Lancero on a last minute checkout deal. Real Gurkhas at that price, of course I have to get it. Gurkha is my favorite brand and the cigar was great. Smooth and great flavors like a Gurkha should be. I had a tight draw myself and the wrapper split too. You gotta leave these at the top of the humidor.
Got one of these in a sampler (Gran Rothschild (Toro) (6.5"x55). I enjoyed it very much, nice smooth draw and a ton of smoke. I didn't have the issues stated in other comments, although this could be because I placed them in a humidor for a week or so off the truck. It had a very cedar flavor, and a ton of smoke. I got a complaint from a girl across the bar because I was putting off so much smoke. Very even burn and a nice ash that I was able to get to about 2 inches before it fell off. Will definitely order again!
i ordered these at special. had one off the truck, it seem a little wet and heavy. draw was very tight. very little smoke, had to keep puffing. taste was kinda off because off lack of or little smoke. will let them rest for awhile before i pass true judgement. don't think they will be on rotation or buy again at regular pricing.
i agree had one off the truck seemed wet, heavy and had funky taste, little or no smoke draw was not good i will let them rest for awhile good thing i got them on a great sell don't think i would buy again a regular prices somewhat of a let down by Gurkha
I've only had one if these, but the one I did have the draw was very tight, and smoke output was next to nothing. Flavors were enjoyable, but would have to double or triple draw to get a decent amount of smoke causing it to burn very hot and distort the flavors...
Adroit
