AVO Limited Edition 2013 'The Dominant'

AVO Dominant 13th makes some b-e-a-utiful music.

With over a dozen 90+ ratings under their belt, it's safe to say that AVO cigars have a lot to live up to. The Dominant 13th pays tribute to one of the complex jazz chords featured in one of Avo Uvezian's songs. And if that's not enough, the box even includes a flash drive featuring a few songs and a short movie clip (and you thought the days of free music were over). You'll also find the AVO cigar catalog and a screen saver.

But besides saving your computer screen from burn in, AVO fans will find a lot to get excited for as this is no doubt one of AVO's finest blends to date. It all begins with a silky, gorgeously smooth Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper. Beneath this unblemished exterior lies a complex, exquisitely balanced blend of four different Dominican and Peruvian long-fillers hugged by a Dominican binder. The profile is smooth and medium-bodied, featuring notes of black pepper, cashews, earth, and hazelnut. What's more, only 9,000 boxes were released, making this a limited time find. Complexity, flavor, and charisma all round out this limited-edition handmade. Avo Uvezian might be a great musician, but he can without a doubt create one hell of a cigar.

Customer Reviews of “AVO Limited Edition 2013 'The Dominant'”
First of all the presentation of this Limited Edition is nothing short of stunning. a beautiful box inside a pure white jacketed outer box. The construction as usual is impeccable as is the burn from start to finish. The flavor starts out a bit full, but quickly mellows into a nice leathery/earthy smooth smoke, which continues to the nub. I don't smoke these as a routine stick, but rather savor it's goodness on special occasions.
