A Good Cigar at a Cheap Price
I was very surprised when I lit up the Victor Sinclair Bohemian Bamboo Big Sur. It is a smooth cigar, mild and perfect to be the second cigar I smoke because I did not finish my drink and the fire pit was still burning. Big Sur smoked well and helped me enjoy the rest of the night.

Great Value-Priced Cigar
For taste and mild smokeability (sic), this cigar compares very favorably to my favorite Macanudos. Plus (and this is a big one), I can forget carrying a cutter!

Interesting but quirky
Don't smoke these as soon as you get them, they need at least a month in your humidor to firm up and get consistent. This is a good cigar for those who like to keep their cigar in their mouth. The wrapper has a bitter taste that diminishes if you get it very wet. They need constant puffing (2 -3) to get a good mouth full of smoke. The flavor is very spicy at first, then mellows out as you smoke it. They aren't a good golf cigar because they need constant attention. They are not a creamy smoke, so I do like to mix them in once in a while with my other favorites. At first I did not like them, but over time I have come to appreciate their uniqueness.

Started out as an excellent mild cigar. Over time found they were arriving VERY dry, they would not burn properly and I wasted half of cigar

A Great Smoke
I found the cigar very enjoyable to smoke, mild to medium in strength with good flavor and a tight ash. I recommend it highly.

A great Deal!
The Big Bamboo is a great smoke, especially on the golf course...burns evenly, mild aromatic cigar adds to your round of golf AND if you're not playing particularly well soothes you as you finish that miserable round of golf!

Great knock-a-round cigar
I work a lot in my garage and always seem to have theses cigars as my every day smoke. Great smoke for the money.

Bohemian Bamboo Big Sur
Very mild, good construction and almost always draw easy. These have become one of my favorite cigars. For the price and quality they are hard to beat.
Customer Testimonials
Excellent construction, draw and burn. Voluminous smoke output with an open draw. Smoke is thick and creamy on palate. Mild strength and mild to medium flavors. Flavors of toasted bread, sweet wood and hints of nutmeg. Slightly dry on the medium length finish with only a hint of cedar spice.
This is just an amazing smoke. Got it as part of a Victor Sinclair sampler, and it is my favorite by far, which is saying something since VS is my favorite cigar maker. It is simultaneously flavorful and smooth, a rare combination. Slightly woodsy, with a very subtle hint of pepper on the front.
Great cigar for those that want a smooth mild cigar. I recommend it to everyone!
These are simply unbelievable, from the ease of lighting, to the draw, to the taste, to the thick, creamy smoke...magnificent cigars at a top value!
Decent cigar...smokes long and evenly...bite off the pigtail and it opens a nice channel for the draw to flow through...they do dry out if you have to relight it which leads to wrapper shredding and breakdown...otherwise an all around good mild cigar
This is a pretty good cigar for Medium to of my many favorites. A bit crisper and peppery, yet a smooth finish.
Smooth. Burns evenly and slow. Great taste! Simply awesome!
An excellent, mild cigar. I love to smoke these on the water when fishing. Holds ash well and cool smooth draw the full length.
I got these on 9/29/12, right out of the box they were great. Good draw, smooth, no bite. This will be one of my go to cigars. I can't wait till they've been in the humidor a while. Can they get better?
What a nice, pleasant smoke! A touch of pepper on the roof of the mouth, a mild bit of woodsy sweetness, nice even burn (even out here on a somewhat windy Pennsylvania day) and a nice buttery somewhat creamy flavor on the retro hale ....paired with water so I can taste all the delicate flavors...nicely done Victor Sinclair! Will definitely be back for more of these!
Quite a good one for the money. I am about halfway through a bundle. Every one has burned perfectly. These are tasty but mild. I have shared two and both those people liked them. The only problem is that they are very fat. Too fat for me. I would order more, but there are several other choices that I like just as much that fit my mouth better.
The Bohemian Bamboo is a positive winner! I ordered a bundle because of the VS association and continue to be delighted with them. Order a bundle and your only complaint will be that you did not order them sooner.
This (Bohemian Bamboo) is a SUPER SUPER cigar. I've been a moderate smoker for over 10 years and found this to be one of the smoothest and enjoyable smokes I've ever had and I'm addicted. My wife said I'm smoking more than she ever has seen me and it's because I really enjoy this puppy. Definitely try them but don't glom onto the specials because I'm going to!
Yee Ha What a great smoke (Bohemian Bamboo) for no dollars. I was floored by how good they were for the peanuts I paid for them. I was just expecting another run of the mill sampler when I lit the first one. Boy what a shocker! I'll smoke these puppies for sure now keep em coming! Well worth the bucks

Bohemian Bamboo

"Hey mon, ya wanna smoke some bamboo with us tooonight?" - a dark-skinned Jamaican student said to me during my first week of college 15 years ago. "Um, well, hmm, I'll, um, maybe, well, I promised my parents, um, well, hmm, smells good, well..." This time on Gonz's bargain train, I've got some Bohemian Bamboo "for ya mon". No, not the wacky-tobaccy kind, but a deal coming from Dominican Republic's Victor Sinclair factory. With a great array of mild-to-medium bodied cigars such as Don Rafael, Victor Sinclair Connecticut, Bohemian, and the super-premium Serie '55' the Bamboo is distinctly different, producing a milder smoke that slaps you with a complex depth of flavor that I didn't expect.

I'm only through my 5th Bamboo North Beach (5.0" x 54) but just couldn't resist writing about it. Simple aesthetics turned me on to give it a chance. First, I know the untrimmed foot is going to give me an easy light. No need to drag and drag...and drag....and get this lit. Plus, the curly head cap has a cutter built-in, just in case your guillotine eludes you. Twist, light, and go! Woohoo! The wrapper is a nice, silky, thick Connecticut shade leaf, not the typical paper thin one you're used to. A firm cigar chock full of tobacco.

The flavor profile is a hoot. Struck by the expectation of a very mild cigar, the initial burn meets that description precisely. A fuller body erupts more quickly and without introduction, surprising the taste buds and tickling the fancy with intrigue. Not overbearing or pungent at all, but a nice body stubbornly works its way into the smoke, leaving a soft peppery finish that lingers, but a light smoke that disappears quickly upon exhale. Creamy, yet dry and slightly spicy - that about says it all.

The burn remains even, the flavor profile consistent, and the cost....$2 per stick. Alrighty then, a box for me and all my friends!

Light'em up!
